Chapter 3: Divorce

"What!" Christine exclaimed in shock. The Lord of the Empire's military force and also the next in line to the empire's throne lacks money and power and doesn't have what it takes to take care of his wife?, this is the greatest joke she has ever received in her life.

" Supreme commander, that ungrateful bitch doesn't know what she is missing out on, how dare she…"

"Shut up!" Felix cut Christine off with a snap. Although he was feeling heartbroken by Caroline's actions, he couldn't stand someone saying bad things about her.

Felix still hoped that Caroline would realize her mistake and stop asking for a divorce.

Unfortunately, a few days later, Felix's hope was dashed as Caroline continued to humiliate and pressurize him to divorce her.

Unable to mend the situation, Felix had no choice but to agree to Caroline's relentless demand to get divorced.

On a fateful morning, Felix and Caroline decided to go to the Victorium High Court which deals with residential marriage and divorce in the empire to get officially divorced.

They took a taxi which swiftly drove towards the location of the Victorium High Court, inside the car Caroline began to mock Felix.

"phew, finally I am going to set myself free from you, you this garbage, I don't even know how I got in this marriage in the first place."

"You are so poor, you can't afford decent clothes not to talk of the designer clothes I used to wear before I got married to you"

"you can't afford my body lotions which has led to my skin getting gruff and rough"

"You can't buy decent shoes for me! Just  look at the shoes I am wearing, they are cheap, worn out, and fucking old!"

"What irritates me about you the most is that you can't even afford a private car. because of your poverty, I had to take public transport. Unlike my classmates and workmates, they always give me strange looks that are so unbearable."

Felix kept his mouth shut and endured Caroline's mockery until they finally reached the Victorium High Court. The two of them exited the taxi and the taxi driver drove off.

On entering the Victorium High Court, Felix and Caroline met up with Olivia, the registrar who was in charge of their divorce.

Olivia is a woman in her early 30s with an average height, blue eyes, and velvet hair adorned in an office suit. After addressing Felix and Caroline, she placed the divorce papers on the table and requested for the two to sign.

Felix sighed before saying in a calm tone. "Caroline, look I know it has been hard for you living with me but can you please reconsider your decision to divorce me?"

" Are you certain about this divorce ma'am? you can still give it a second thought" Olivia said.

" I have seen a lot of divorcees regretting getting a divorce, so I will advise you to postpone it so you ponder over if you should go ahead with the divorce or not" Olivia further advised.

"Caroline, I promise that if you change your decision I will give you the greatest shock in your life, all your wishes will come true and you will be happy" Felix added.

Unfortunately, Caroline totally ignored Felix and Olivia, acting as if she hadn't heard anything from either him or her as she swiftly brought out a pen and signed the divorce papers.

Upon seeing this, Felix could only reluctantly sign the divorce papers as well.

After signing the papers, Caroline quickly got off her seat and immediately left the room. She acted like she was feeling disgusted staying in the same room as Felix.

Chapter 637 Rabin did not slow down. His arm moved again, and another invisible strike pierced through the space between them, carrying the same suffocating inevitability, the same unnatural sharpness that seemed to ignore distance and defense alike. Felix shifted, narrowly avoiding a fatal hit, but this time he did not simply evade. He observed. Closely. The attack did not behave like ordinary energy. It did not travel through space in a straight path. It manifested along a line of intent. A line that could not be blocked conventionally. But.. Felix’s eyes sharpened. “If it manifests…” He thought. “…then it must still be structured.” Even something that bypassed defense had a form. Even something intangible had a foundation. Rabin struck again. Felix did not dodge immediately.Instead, his palm rose slightly. A faint distortion appeared in front of him. Not a shield. Not a wall. Something subtler. The Annihilation Run. But not as before. Not as a large scale erasure.

Chapter 636 The chamber fell into a suffocating silence as Felix and Rabin faced each other. There were no distractions here. No alarms, no fleeing operators, no chaotic interference, only two figures standing at opposite ends of a vast metallic hall, both fully aware that what came next would not resemble the battles that had occurred before. Rabin took a slow step forward. The sound of his armored foot against the metal floor echoed with unusual weight, as though the very structure of the ship acknowledged his presence. He did not rush. He did not attack immediately. Instead, he spoke. “There are levels to power you have not yet understood.” His voice was deep, steady, and filled with quiet confidence. Felix did not respond. He simply watched.Rabin continued walking forward. “In the Ascendant realm, there are three stages, early, middle, and late.” His gaze locked onto Felix. “The ones you fought before… Breaker and Destroyer… they were only at the early stage.” There

Chapter635The alarm spread through the entire flying city. It was no longer a silent machine of destruction. Every corridor now pulsed with urgency as red warning lights flashed rhythmically along metallic walls. The once orderly operations shifted into a state of war. Felix stood in the control room for only a moment longer. He did not waste time. He already knew what would happen next. They would come.He stepped out into the corridor. The moment he did, the atmosphere changed. The hum of machinery was now mixed with the distant echoes of movement heavy footsteps, rapid deployments, coordinated units spreading out through the structure. They were searching for him. Felix moved forward calmly. His presence remained concealed, his aura tightly controlled, blending into the environment. To ordinary detection, he was nothing more than a ripple in the system. But that did not mean he went unnoticed for long. The first group appeared at the end of the corridor. Six figures. Armo

Chapter 634 The moment Felix stepped into the control chamber, every operator inside noticed him instantly. The room was vast, filled with rows of consoles and personnel managing different sections of the ship’s weapon systems. Their movements halted almost at the same time, confusion flashing across their faces as they tried to process how an outsider had appeared inside one of the most secured areas of the flying city.A few of them instinctively opened their mouths to shout for help. They never got the chance.Felix reacted immediately.A surge of martial energy expanded from his body and formed a sealed barrier around the entire chamber. The barrier was not explosive or loud; it was precise and absolute. It cut off all sound, all signals, and all forms of communication from escaping the room. The operators’ expressions shifted from confusion to panic. Some rushed toward emergency panels.Others tried to activate internal alarms.A few attempted to attack.Felix did not gi

Chapter 633 Inside the silent metallic chamber of the descending city, the faint hum of systems continued uninterrupted, as though nothing had happened, as though the death of one operator was nothing more than a minor fluctuation in an endless machine. Felix stood still, beside him, a lifeless body. His hand slowly lowered after completing the soul search, his eyes faintly glowing for a brief moment before returning to normal, yet within that short instant, an overwhelming amount of information had already been absorbed and processed. Not just surface level knowledge, Everything. Control systems. Navigation routes. Weapon mechanisms and more importantly, the truth behind the city. Felix’s expression grew colder. “This…” He muttered inwardly. “…is no ordinary force.” From the memories he had just extracted, he now understood that the operators within this city were not the true threat. They were merely hands, workers who serve as the ship controllers. The true power of

Chapter 632 The Imperium was burning. Not with flames alone but with despair. Across the shattered capital, cries of anguish echoed endlessly as citizens fled through collapsing streets, their voices trembling with fear, their bodies moving without direction, driven only by the instinct to survive in a world that had suddenly turned against them. Above them, death rained down. Precise. Relentless. Unstoppable. The beams from the descending city continued to fall like divine punishment, piercing through bodies, structures, and defenses alike, each strike claiming a life with terrifying accuracy, leaving no room for resistance, no chance for escape. Imperial soldiers and guards stood at the frontlines, their armor shattered, their formations broken, yet they refused to retreat, their bodies acting as shields, their lives offered in exchange for even a single moment of safety for the civilians behind them. “Hold the line!”“Protect the civilians!” Their voices rang out despi
