Chapter 3: Divorce

"What!" Christine exclaimed in shock. The Lord of the Empire's military force and also the next in line to the empire's throne lacks money and power and doesn't have what it takes to take care of his wife?, this is the greatest joke she has ever received in her life.

" Supreme commander, that ungrateful bitch doesn't know what she is missing out on, how dare she…"

"Shut up!" Felix cut Christine off with a snap. Although he was feeling heartbroken by Caroline's actions, he couldn't stand someone saying bad things about her.

Felix still hoped that Caroline would realize her mistake and stop asking for a divorce.

Unfortunately, a few days later, Felix's hope was dashed as Caroline continued to humiliate and pressurize him to divorce her.

Unable to mend the situation, Felix had no choice but to agree to Caroline's relentless demand to get divorced.

On a fateful morning, Felix and Caroline decided to go to the Victorium High Court which deals with residential marriage and divorce in the empire to get officially divorced.

They took a taxi which swiftly drove towards the location of the Victorium High Court, inside the car Caroline began to mock Felix.

"phew, finally I am going to set myself free from you, you this garbage, I don't even know how I got in this marriage in the first place."

"You are so poor, you can't afford decent clothes not to talk of the designer clothes I used to wear before I got married to you"

"you can't afford my body lotions which has led to my skin getting gruff and rough"

"You can't buy decent shoes for me! Just  look at the shoes I am wearing, they are cheap, worn out, and fucking old!"

"What irritates me about you the most is that you can't even afford a private car. because of your poverty, I had to take public transport. Unlike my classmates and workmates, they always give me strange looks that are so unbearable."

Felix kept his mouth shut and endured Caroline's mockery until they finally reached the Victorium High Court. The two of them exited the taxi and the taxi driver drove off.

On entering the Victorium High Court, Felix and Caroline met up with Olivia, the registrar who was in charge of their divorce.

Olivia is a woman in her early 30s with an average height, blue eyes, and velvet hair adorned in an office suit. After addressing Felix and Caroline, she placed the divorce papers on the table and requested for the two to sign.

Felix sighed before saying in a calm tone. "Caroline, look I know it has been hard for you living with me but can you please reconsider your decision to divorce me?"

" Are you certain about this divorce ma'am? you can still give it a second thought" Olivia said.

" I have seen a lot of divorcees regretting getting a divorce, so I will advise you to postpone it so you ponder over if you should go ahead with the divorce or not" Olivia further advised.

"Caroline, I promise that if you change your decision I will give you the greatest shock in your life, all your wishes will come true and you will be happy" Felix added.

Unfortunately, Caroline totally ignored Felix and Olivia, acting as if she hadn't heard anything from either him or her as she swiftly brought out a pen and signed the divorce papers.

Upon seeing this, Felix could only reluctantly sign the divorce papers as well.

After signing the papers, Caroline quickly got off her seat and immediately left the room. She acted like she was feeling disgusted staying in the same room as Felix.

Chapter502 The transformation of the arena did not end with the retreat of sand and the rise of polished platforms. It continued. Massive segmented sections unfolded smoothly from beneath the ground, spreading outward like petals of a mechanical flower. What had once been a battlefield of cracked earth and impact scars was now reshaped into a grand cultural stage wide, symmetrical, and deliberately neutral, designed to host expression rather than conflict. Soft ambient lighting replaced the harsh glare of combat illumination. The air itself felt different, lighter, calmer, as though the arena had exhaled after days of relentless violence. Around the stands, the audience gradually quieted. Not out of exhaustion, but anticipation. Everyone understood that the tone of the Convention had shifted. Strength had spoken. Now, identity would. Prime Minister Ulgan remained standing at the center of the arena floor for a few moments longer, allowing the transformation to fully com

Chapter501 The moment Rancord absorbed the full blessing of the Ancient Elephant Empire, the change was immediate. His presence expanded violently. The desert air trembled as a crushing pressure surged outward, rolling across the battlefield like an unstoppable tide. The ground beneath his feet cracked and sank, forming a shallow depression as his power stabilized at an unbelievable level.Every fighter on the field felt it. The Victorium Empire’s elites stiffened simultaneously. “This pressure…” Victor muttered, tightening his grip on his spear. Mariel’s eyes narrowed. “If he moves now....” “He’ll break through everything,” Collings warlords finished grimly. There was no hesitation. No discussion. Almost instinctively, the Victorium formation activated. One by one, Victorium’s fighters stopped engaging their opponents and redirected their focus inward. Martial energy surged through invisible channels, flowing away from individual battles and converging toward a si

Chapter500 The echoes of the previous battle had barely faded when Prime Minister Ulgan once again rose to his feet. The arena, which had just been filled with the roar of victory and defeat, gradually quieted. Even the restless murmurs of the audience slowed as everyone sensed what was coming next. Ulgan’s gaze swept across the vast desert field before he spoke. “The group matches of the second round approach their conclusion,” he announced. “The final battle, to determine first and second place, shall now begin.” A wave of anticipation rippled through the stands. “Victorium Empire,” Ulgan continued, “versus the Ancient Elephant Empire.” The reaction was immediate. Excitement surged like electricity through the arena. Many spectators leaned forward instinctively, eyes locked onto the empty field below. This was the match everyone had been waiting for not simply a clash of strength, but a confrontation between two empires that had proven themselves through resilience,

Chapter499 What had felt like only a brief pause between clashes soon gave way to another day of the Convention. The atmosphere across the Imperium shifted once again, excitement returning like a tide that could not be held back. By the time dawn fully settled, Serena and Christene had already completed their preparations for the Cultural Exchange. Their workspaces were orderly, every item accounted for, every detail refined. Though neither of them spoke much about it anymore, the quiet confidence in their expressions made it clear they were ready. As for Felix, he said little. Like the days before, he led the group toward the arena, calm and composed. The route was familiar now, yet the energy surrounding it felt different. This was no longer the uncertain opening of a grand event. this was its decisive middle, where reputations were cemented and failures became impossible to hide. The arena was already packed. People from every social stratum filled the seats: nobles

Chapter498 After concluding his business with the major corporations in the imperial capital, Felix did not linger. He rose into the sky once more, leaving behind the gleaming towers, controlled air lanes, and layered traffic of the Imperium’s core districts. As the altitude increased, the skyline shifted. Polished structures gave way to industrial silhouettes, and the carefully regulated hum of the capital thinned into something rougher, more uneven. Felix adjusted his trajectory eastward. Beyond the eastern industrial belt lay older zones areas that had once been central to production before the Imperium modernized its infrastructure. Many of those facilities had been abandoned, repurposed, or downsized. Others survived in quieter forms, sustained by specialists who valued craftsmanship over scale. That was where the resonance cores could still be found. As he traveled, Felix passed above countless cities and districts. Some were dense clusters of habitation towers, thei

Chapter497 Felix moved deeper into the interior of Aurelion Culinary Consortium without haste. The atmosphere inside the building was noticeably different from the entrance.Warm lighting reflected off polished marble floors, and the scent of refined spices lingered faintly in the air. Rows of transparent displays showcased rare ingredients preserved in controlled environments, precision cooking instruments, and sealed containers marked with certification tags from the Imperium’s highest regulatory bodies. Employees moved with professional efficiency, greeting customers politely, answering questions, and processing transactions. Felix passed through them quietly. No one paid him special attention. That was exactly how he preferred it. He followed the directional signs until he reached a dedicated sales counter reserved for premium clients. The area was less crowded, designed for high value transactions requiring consultation rather than impulse purchases. An employee be
