Chapter4:

Felix quickly left the registrar's office and chased after Caroline; however, ever since she started walking, Caroline didn't slow down until she reached the roadside.

Felix followed Caroline to the roadside until he finally caught up with her and stopped beside her.

"What do you want?" Caroline asked Felix in an unpleasant tone when he walked up and stood beside her.

"Actually I don't want anything, I just want to wish you well in your next relationship after leaving me"

"What does my next relationship have to do with the likes of you? Listen, you better stay as far away from me as you can, I don't want you to ruin my life with your poverty-ridden self!" Caroline snapped.

"I hope that you find a man who can take care of you and….."

"Oh please, spare me that garbage you piece of shit, what do you know about being a man huh? I have been married to you for a year now and what do I have to show for it!"

"of all the time I have spent together with you, you only made my life miserable, even though I tried to endure your poverty in the end it was still too much for me to bear"

"Felix you know what? marrying a worthless garbage like you is the worst and most disgusting thing I have ever done in my whole life, I want nothing to do with you again, never!" Caroline spat as she gazed at Felix in scorn and disgust.

Listening to Caroline, Felix smiled bitterly without saying anything further, in the one year of their wedding, he had treasured and loved Caroline with all his heart but this love is now being insulted and thrown away by her like it was nothing but trash.

"Where is the Caroline that I fell in love with, where is the woman who chose to love me for who I am?"

Felix mumbled in his heart but there was no answer, no one could give him such an answer anyway.

Unknowingly, As he stood in his spot, staring at her beautiful face, the little bit of feelings that Felix still had for Caroline vanished into thin air and his heart slowly turned cold.

"It's over, totally over and there is no going back" Felix muttered in his mind as he no longer made any effort to communicate with Caroline.

Just then a Mercedes Benz GLE drove towards them and stopped by Caroline's side taking away Felix's attention.

"Who is this guy?" Felix said as he wondered why an expensive car would suddenly park beside his ex-wife who just divorced him.

The front door of the Mercedes Benz opened up and a short man with a big belly, unrelated Ugliness, and crooked teeth walked out.

The moment Felix laid his eyes on the man Felix immediately recognized him as Clement, the son of the general manager of the Ausker Corporation where he works as an accountant assistant.

In the Ausker cooperation, Clement is an ugly wastrel who does nothing but take advantage of his father's position to cause trouble.

Due to his infamy and Ugly appearance, not just Felix, all of the employees know of Clement and always see him in a bad light.

"What is this Ugly bastard doing here?" Felix blurted soon after seeing Clement stepping out of the car and smiling at Caroline.

"Oh Darling you are finally here~" To Felix's greatest shock, Caroline greeted the Ugly toad with a sweet voice that she had never used for him before.

"What the hell is going on here" Felix couldn't help but exclaim inwardly.

But for now, he preferred quiet observation. The convoy continued moving toward the Imperial Palace.

Chapter440 Morning sunlight poured gently into the suite of the Raven Hotel, filtered through curtains made of soft gold-thread fabric. The calm glow illuminated Felix’s sleeping figure for only a few seconds… before his eyes opened slowly. He didn’t rise at once.Instead, he lay there for a brief moment, staring silently at the ceiling. There was no killing intent. No imminent threat. No assassins lying in wait. Just peace. But peace only lasted until responsibility returned to the mind of an emperor. Felix sat up, ran a hand through his hair, and steadied his breathing. Yesterday’s events lingered vividly: Olan and Mark screaming on the floor… The secret realm… The tournament between nations… The Myriad Empire Convention in only a few days… Everything was converging rapidly. Felix exhaled calmly. He had rested. He had prepared mentally. Now it was time to prepare physically. And to do that…He needed forces. He needed strength. He needed people he trusted with the res
