Chapter 56

Declan caught her in time just before she landed on the floor. Her face was pale and she let out labored breathing. He took the phone from her hand. 

She tried to say something but she could barely talk. She was losing a lot of energy and soon, she would pass out. 

Abigail had already called an ambulance and the paramedics were already in the house. They took the girl from his hands. His hands were filled with blood, and it made him tremble. Abigail assisted him to the bathroom to wash up. He thought of where he had seen the face of the girl before. She bore a striking resemblance with someone that he knew. 

As he washed his hands in the bathroom sink, a thought crossed his mind. That was Raymond's old girlfriend, Anne.
