chapter 12: The king of the 5 kingdoms
Leah bussied herself in the library whilst the castle slept, it was indeed a harrowing day slaving under Lady Malorie's company, whispers around suggest she could be the next queen owning to the rapport she seem to share with Greynor; the yet-to-be crowned king whom Leah avoided all day, he still grieved his father, and his sister was taken by the same group of mages who killed Greymon, seeing a mage skipping across the halls of his castle might just give him some ideas so Leah steered clear. CHAPTER 10: Luck
His royal majesty Greynor Caine and his brother the Prince gathered alongside the high templar Edwin Chazwell, adviser to the late king Yadrick Dover, chief scholar Barvis Bent, the treasurer Ramiel hull and Lord Commander of the kings guard Evan larr, they all sat at the round table with the exception of the Lord Commander who stood by Greynor's side, the table was grey and made of marble whilst the chairs were sycamore with padding for comfort. The meeting chamber was sizable but quite empty save for the round table itself, it was lit up by a single but large window with a good view of the city from above, the wall on the left had the map of verynia painted on it with all the duchies and castles accross the 5 kingdoms whilst the wall on the right had an oil painting of the capital's 35 burrow dragon keep, with a setting sun in the background and dragons flying above the cylindrical structures. CHAPTER 9: Finding Marilyn
The bells of the temple rang at early dawn, earlier than it usually does for prayer call, Greynor hadn't found sleep for the better of the night, yet the bells toll was unrelenting, at a time when the sun hadn't graced the skies and the birds awaited the morning light to sing their melodies, it could only mean one thing; the king is dead."Your Majesty" The 2 Kings guard standing sentry outside the throne room chorused when Greynor walked out, it caught him by surprise and his heart sank as he began processing what it meant, he was now king, a responsibility even he knew he wasn't ready for, but it also meant he was now the most powerful man in Verynia, there's a certain fear to it but also a rush. He was met with the same greetings by the castle workers who awoke early for their chores, his Grace Edwin Chazwell; the high templer, already had three templers wrapping the body as the smell had grown too foul but Lord Bent and Prince Greyson suffered the smell to be present.
Chapter 8: Sunrise
"Gahh!!" The king screamed in pain as he collapsed to the ground whilst Marilyn fled "Your Majesty!" Lord Dover yelled as he rushed to his aid, commotion swept through the crowd and people began scrambling to vacate the amphitheatre, the King's guards left Greynor at once and rushed to the King's aid as well. "Stop her from leaving" Evan larr orderd and they chased after her, the exit was at the North side which was where she headed but it was crawling with people trying to leave, Marilyn jammed her palms together and when she opened them, a strong force emanated from her and threw aside everyone in her path. People yelled in terror as she made her way out and the whole amphitheatre was filled with commotion and violent hysteria, Leah made it onto the row where the royals were, they couldn't leave as well but they were guarded by knights and Caine men who wouldn't let her through so she left to find safety somewhere else. The crowd booed Oscar but Greynor clapped as if he were impressed, but he wasn't and neither was the king, Jakar was relieved whilst Matar seemed as impressed as Leah was.
