Who Am I?

They came to the principal office soon. He looked around the school on the way to the school. It was a normal place. Nothing special there. But he felt like something he saw had been carrying a dark side. When Mike saw Benjamin looking around with great interest he explained to him about every place like a tourist guide. Benjamin also heard them out so curiously. 

Ever since Benjamin heard about these mysterious things his mind was imagining countless things. Finally, they were ready to meet the principal now.

 Principle's room was quite big though. When they arrived inside there was a big table in front of them. There was a window behind them. It was open and the wind was coming through the windows and making the room cooler and comfortable. 

After looking around Benjamin captured that one side of that room has a huge bookshelf, and the other side of the wall had many portraits. But the room was empty.

'Where is the principal?' Benjamin looked at Mike. Mike postered a gesture saying to him to wait a minute. Then suddenly a person came through the window. He also had long hair like Mike. But this man's hair was even longer than Mike's. It just made them so noble. But also handsome. 

The man who came through the window startled Benjamin. But not Mike. Benjamin didn't expect it to happen something like that, so he was suddenly shocked by that.  

 The person who came through the window was the principal.

'Why did he come through the window? Isn't this his room? So strange?'

Benjamin thought.

" You, It's because I was practicing my powers. It's not strange. " Benjamin heard a voice.

Why does it sound like the principal was answering him? But he didn't talk. He looked at the person in front of him. He was tall and had white skin like Mike, and Benjamin noticed that his hand was covered by some powders. After the principal discovered that Benjamin was looking at his hands, the principal wiped them cleanly.

" You have a good eye, boy ... You 're gonna be a big trouble in the future '"

" ? "

Hearing those words Benjamin realised that was the principle for sure.

But he didn't even talk. But he can hear.

Mike was uninformed about what was going on. But after Mike realized they were having a conversation using their minds, to say that he was shocked.

If you can make a conversation with someone using your mind It's said telepathy. But all the people don't have that ability... Some of them even can read others' minds and also control them. So It's quite dangerous though. But it's one of the most useful abilities. Only a few students have this ability. So he was amazed that this little guy also can do this.

And also Mike understood this little guy has no idea about that, he looked confused. Then the principal talked.

" You're Benjamin, right?  "

"Yes sir "

"Professor Mike should have told you everything and you are clear about everything, right?

" Yes sir " 

" Okay, Shall we check who you are?

".....Yes sir "

" Don't call me sir, call me Mr Clerk "

" Yes, sir ...Ah! I am sorry Mr Clerk" 

Looked like the principal was also impressed by this guy's politeness. But he didn't show any feelings on his face. That was a poker face.

Benjamin panicked. But soon after he was okay.

Maybe because this is strange. He had never thought he will get to become a mage one day.

"Don't worry, What your form doesn't matter to your abilities, You can rest assured."

Mike patted his shoulder.

That helped Benjamin and he seem to be couraged.

Mr Clerk showed them a direction and said to follow him. When he stood up in front of the huge bookshelf it opened and lead into another room.

Benjamin was so amazed that he was speechless. 

In the room, there were not many things. There was a sound that was caused by wind and the room was much cooler than the outside room. While he was visiting the room with his eager eyes, Mr Clerk guided Benjamin to a place.

He was asked to go to the corner of that room. There was something. But Benjamin couldn't see it. It was so bright ...After the principal put something there the brightness seem to be getting low. 

Then he could see clearly what was that 

That was just a mirror.

'Why was that so bright?'

Mr Clerk gave him a pill and said him to swallow it. He took it and swallowed it without saying anything.  Then he was asked to stand in front of the mirror. After he stood up there Mr Clerk cut his hand and drew a circle with his blood, around Benjamin while saying something. Benjamin suddenly got scared. 

'Why did he do that?' Its blood around him. Mike gave him a look, telling him not to worry. And told him to look at Mr Clerks' hand. Benjamin looked at the hand that was cut, but to his surprise, the wound suddenly disappeared in front of his eyes.

" This is my ability "

Mr Clerk said with his poker face but somewhat look proud.

'That was awesome' Benjamin thought.

" Okay, now let's get into the work" Mr Clerk was serious.

" You don't have to do anything. In a few minutes, you will see a hand in the mirror in front of you. Then place your hand on that hand and the mirror will show what kind of animal form you have. We will stay here until the process end. But we can't infer in the middle. So you have to do everything. Do you have any questions? "

" No. Mr Clerk, I understood everything. I am ready"

Then Mr. clerk and Mike went a few steps away from Benjamin.

Even though Benjamin was curious and happy to know his form he was still quite terrified in front of the mirror. 

It started. A hand showed up in the mirror. It looked like someone in the mirror placed his hand on the mirror. Benjamin quickly and carefully placed his hand on the other hand. The hand suddenly grabbed his hand. He was terrified.

'They didn't say that it will grab mine'

He scolded them in his mind. But soon after his hand was released. Then he pulled his hand back and the next moment he saw the mirror was showing something. It was like someone drawing on the mirror. It appeared part by part. The other two on the side watched with great interest.

But the mirror suddenly went blank. Benjamin could see his shocked face through the mirror. It's his reflection, what he saw through the mirror. He didn't see anything about his form. 

He looked at the two on the other side. They look disappointed. Benjamin felt sad for some reason. He came out of the blood circulation.

"  I saw nothing, what does that mean? "

" That was not the first time, the mirror went blank. There was a person who couldn't able to see his form through the mirror.  But it was 30 years ago. But now he is a great and powerful mage. Even though we don't know the reason for the mirror's strange behaviour we can confirm that you are gonna be someone special." Mike said.

" Ah. I see...Can I still learn magic? "

"You can, You have the ability. Your beast form will be late to awaken. But you can learn magic  under the instructions of our principal."

Benjamin turned to Mr Clerk expecting an answer. But he seemed to be in a daze. He suddenly grabbed Benjamin's hand and went to the office room, out of the bookshelf. Mike also followed them. 

Mr Clerk seemed to be happy and his face had a smile. That was so rare to see him smile. When Mike saw his smile, he understood that something interesting gonna happen soon.....
