Part 1A

I had been hearing gunshots for a while now, but finally I was facing one pointed towards me, not me in particular but in my direction. That made us hesitate and stop all of us, except the emporer, who, on the contrary, increased his speed towards them. The rest of us, we stood in our place and didn’t move. The boy with the rifle was looking at us, still pointing the gun at us.

Although he saw the old man, I mean the emporer, coming towards them, his expression softened a little bit, but still he was pointing the rifle towards us like he was waiting for a signal to start shooting at us. The distance between us was about a hundred meters give or take, and he reached them within a few seconds, then immediately bent down and stared, hugging the two kids and the woman who was holding them while the other three women gave them a space by moving back while standing each in a side, like they were keeping some type of formation.

After less than a minute, the emporer said something to the young boy with a low voice and then looked at us and, with his hand, asked us to come over. Still, the boy was on guard about us, and I could see how he was holding the gun tightly in his hand. As soon as we came over to them, the emporer started to speak and said, ”Let me first introduce myself to you…”, As he was about to say something and stared to introduce himself, suddenly and out of nowhere and in front of everyone appeared my bother Aron, and he said without noticing anything else, “All done, no one is coming from that side anymore.” My heart was beating faster than anything else in this world.

A few minute earlier

Adan’s point of view

While I stared to face twenty men who were armed with different weapons, and since I didn't have any instructions on how to switch the weapons, I knew that I could store and take them out at any minute, and the gun I had was not suitable in this situation unless I was going to kill, and that was not my intention at all, so on my way to the first man who appeared to me to be the leader of this group. I thought of the way only the word switch appeared in front of me, then I switched the gun to a sword, thinking, "So even they are monitoring my thoughts and can hear it," thinking that I used the flat side of the sword and hit the surprised man on the head.

I didn't wait to even check on him and see if he was still moving or not, since I was not sure how long this new skill will last, I am not sure even if I noticed the duration of the skill because my mind was so occupied with the current situation, and the quantity of the enemy that I am going to face down, so the only solution was to take as many as possible of them in the shortest time possible, nest was the facing me me hitting both of them consecutively on the head the same as the first one, the to the right side I didn’t had a timer but comparing this skill to the other two it was the combination of I guessed I will be around the same time around twenty seconds, approximately it was about four to five seconds when I finished the right side then I headed to the left side when I stopped at the last two, then I started to look around and see if there ware anyone of them still standing.

Fortunately, none of them were. They were all out cold without a single movement. I sighed in relief, then I started tying them up using their belts and whatever I found suitable for the use. Since there was no way for me to carry them to the others, not even one of them, and that obviously will take more than I can afford, I had to drag them apart, placing each of them under a tree further than each other in a way that will not allow them to see each other as much as possible. Although it was not 100 percent successful, I succeeded. somehow taking another precaution and tying them once more with the roots of the tree. It was time to go back to the group.

I used the same skill once more to go back to the same location I departed from in the first place. I didn’t think much about it in the first time, but somehow I was enjoying this game like a new ability that I have in real life. I think that is the dream of every young man in my age, and that was the reason for us to watch and read sci-fi and fantasy movies and books and play games pretending to be someone else living the life of magic and adventure, which is just to enjoy a different life than the one we have. So just imagine how I would feel while I was doing what I used to do in the games in real life. It was really a wonderful feeling at that time. That was, I didn't even think about any consequences or anything at all and was not even conscious of what I was doing when I suddenly flashed and appeared in between the group I left, and like I was just having a conversation with someone who was with me, I reported, “All done, no one is coming from that side anymore."

I was facing the young boy, and I knew where he was standing simply because I assumed I would be back at the location that I left. If I followed the description of the skills, I would be shocked, so I was shocked literally when I found myself facing and talking to a middle-aged man instead. I froze at my location and was unable to say anything else. The only thing I could do was to look around and check if I ended up in the wrong location between other people. I didn’t know what I should feel because there were punch of other people that I had never seen before among the people I left here. Although I was not absent for more than ten minutes, apparently the situation changed during that short time. Was it for the worst or better? I couldn’t tell from the first glance, but the only thing that was obvious was that no one was hurt from my group or the kid and his group.

And there was no hostility in the eyes of the people I looked at, only a surprise look towards me, and vigilance in all of the new faces except, for some reason, a young girl whose look was a mixture of surprise and some happiness. I don’t know the reason, but I had the feeling to look at her more and ask her about the meaning of the way she was looking at me, but I didn’t linger at that much longer since I needed to know what was going on. When my eyes came back at the end, on the middle-aged man that was practically standing in front of the boy that I thought I was addressing, I noticed the expression of the middle-aged man soften when he saw the way I behaved. I guess the only thing that saved me was my look and the report I gave out spontaneously after my arrival, which showed everyone that I was not an enemy.

There was something similar to a smile on the middle-aged man that disappeared imminently, but I noticed it none the less. He looked at me and said in a low voice,Fascinating,then glanced to the boy, who nodded without saying anything, then looked at me and said,Young man, we will have plenty of time to talk, and as much as I like to hear the details of the report you just gave out, this is not the place or the time, so please bear with me. Then he looked at the new group and said, "As I was saying, my name is Haider, this is my wife Hayam and my children Tiyah and Tamir, and this young man""is my brother Luke."

He paused for a second and then continued, “Until two days ago, I was the Emporer of the Manuhuter Empire, but a military coup happened in my country. With the sacrifice of one of my closest friends, I was able to run away with my family to this forest. I have no idea how they were able to trace our location, but since yesterday, they were able to pin point our location. I don’t know anything about your situations or your reasons for being here, but I believe that faith has brought us all together here at this moment."

Once more, he paused for a few seconds, looking at everyone one by one. Then he changed the way he was speaking earlier, and with a firm voice, he said, “I have a request to all of you. I need you to assist me to keep my family safe until I get a way to take back my county.” He looked at us once more, trying to read our faces, I guess. I didn’t think for a second to encounter a scenario like this, but I didn’t care any way. I was on a journey to look for something or someone. Maybe this is it, and this was the purpose for me being here, and maybe this will be the first step for me to figure out who and why I have been brought to this alien world.
