Inside the room, Lein stared at the now-stable heart monitor. But his eyes narrowed—this wasn't enough yet.

A normal heartbeat didn't mean his mother was fully healed. A chronic disease like this was rooted in toxins and dirty blood that had accumulated for years, eating away at organs from within.

If it wasn't cleaned out now, his mother would only last a few months before relapsing again.

"Forgive me, Mom," Lein whispered softly. "This will hurt a little."

His hands moved quickly. He took three additional acupuncture needles, then inserted them with high precision at three different points—Quchi at the elbow crease, Xuehai on the inner thigh, and Weizhong behind the knee.

These three points were the main detoxification gateways in the body.

Lein took a deep breath, then rotated the needles with a special pattern—three clockwise turns, then two counterclockwise. His movements were smooth yet full of control.

Then, something terrifying happened.

From the tip of the needle at the Quchi point, drops of thick black liquid began to drip slowly. Viscous, sticky, and smelling of blood.

One drop.

Two drops.

Then flowing more heavily.

The black liquid dripped onto the sheets below. Its color was so dark—like ink, or blood that had rotted.

Outside the room, the doctors peeking through the small window fell silent. Their faces turned pale.

"What... what is that?!" a young doctor yelled softly, almost stepping back.

"Black blood?!" The female doctor from earlier covered her mouth, her face disgusted and horrified at once.

Doctor Wilson, who had been cynical before, now stood frozen. His eyes widened, his mouth open but no sound came out.

An elderly doctor with white hair—Doctor Chen, head of internal medicine—who had just arrived, stared at the screen with an expression of disbelief. His hands trembled.

"This... this is impossible..." he murmured softly.

"Doctor Chen, what's happening?" asked the young doctor beside him with a shaking voice.

Doctor Chen didn't answer. His eyes were fixed on Lein's hands that kept rotating the needles in a perfect pattern, and the black liquid that kept flowing out from the patient's body.

Then, his lips trembled.

"Blood Cleansing..." he whispered almost inaudibly. "This is an ancient technique used by the Medical God."

All the doctors in that hallway immediately turned to him.

"Medical God?!" The young doctor was shocked. "Isn't that just a legend?"

Doctor Chen shook his head slowly, his eyes still fixed on Lein. "I once heard about a Medical God who mastered ancient techniques—treatments that had been lost for hundreds of years. Techniques capable of drawing toxins and dirty blood directly from the body's meridians without surgery, without chemical drugs."

He swallowed, his voice trembling. "But I never thought... I'd see it in person."

An oppressive silence enveloped the hallway.

Doctor Wilson stepped back, his face as white as a corpse. His hands trembled. All his arrogance, all his claims of being the best specialist—everything shattered in an instant.

Before him was someone using techniques that didn't exist in any medical textbook.

Someone doing the impossible.

Inside the room, Lein didn't care about the commotion outside. His focus was only on his mother.

After the black liquid stopped flowing from the Quchi point, he moved to the other two points—Xuehai and Weizhong. The process was the same. Thick black liquid kept coming out, cleansing the toxins that had settled for years in his mother's body.

Five minutes passed.

Eight minutes.

Ten minutes.

Finally, the liquid coming out began to change—from thick black to dark red, then fresh red. A sign of clean blood.

Lein breathed a sigh of relief. He carefully removed the needles one by one, then pressed the acupuncture points with his fingers to close the meridians.

His mother's face, which had been pale, now began to show color. Her breathing was regular. Her heartbeat was stable and strong.

The monitor showed perfect numbers—normal blood pressure, oxygen saturation 98%, regular heart rhythm.

Lein smiled faintly. His hands, covered in black blood, trembled as they gently touched his mother's cheek.

"You're fine now, Mom," he whispered softly.

He stood up, then turned toward the door, ready to face the astonished stares of all the doctors outside.

As soon as Lein stepped out of the room, all the doctors gathered in the hallway immediately made way. They stared at him with a mixture of respect, amazement, and a bit of fear.

Lein stopped right in front of Doctor Wilson who was still standing frozen. Without saying anything, he pulled out a card from his pocket—a pitch-black card with gold lines on the edges, then casually tossed it toward Wilson.

Wilson caught it reflexively, his hands trembling.

"Move my mother to a VIP room," Lein said in a flat but authoritative tone. "Whatever the cost, just swipe it! I want her to get the best care during her recovery."

Wilson stared at the card in his hand. His eyes immediately widened, his face instantly turned pale as paper.

A black card with embossed gold writing on its surface: "Obsidian Elite Card - Unlimited Access."

This was an exclusive card owned by only a handful of people—billionaires, high-ranking state officials, or nationally influential figures. Even in a hospital this big, Wilson had only seen it once in his lifetime.

And this shabby man with a worn bag... owned one?!

Wilson felt his legs go weak. Cold sweat ran down his temples.

Did I just offend a big shot?!

He immediately bowed deeply, his body trembling. "Y-yes! Right away, Sir! I'll arrange everything immediately!"

He quickly turned to the nurse standing behind him. "You all! Move the patient to the VIP Presidential Suite right now! Use all the best facilities! Hurry!"

The nurses immediately rushed into the room, carefully pushing his mother's bed.

Wilson was still bowing, not daring to look at Lein. His hand holding the black card was sweating. He realized—he had just made a fatal mistake. If this man reported him... his career could be destroyed in an instant. He had to do everything to satisfy this man and get his forgiveness!

Lein didn't glance at him again. His gaze shifted to Lily who was still standing in the corner of the hallway, her face wet with tears.

Lein's cold expression immediately softened. He stepped closer, then stopped right in front of his sister.

"Mom's fine now," he said gently, stroking Lily's head affectionately. "Mom is healed."

Hearing those words, Lily's emotional dam broke.

Her crying exploded. She immediately hugged Lein tightly, as if afraid her brother would disappear again. Her body shook violently, her crying sounded heart-wrenching.

"Where have you been all this time, Brother?!" she sobbed against Lein's chest, her voice full of pain and longing. "Mom and I were tortured so badly... We were treated terribly by the Anthony family..."

Her voice choked, but she forced herself to continue. "They... they treated us like slaves! We were ordered to clean the mansion from morning to night. We weren't paid. We even only got leftover food."

Her tears flowed heavily. "Mom was often beaten if she was late finishing work. They kicked her, cursed at her... And I... I could only cry, couldn't do anything..."

Lily gripped Lein's shirt tighter, her body trembling. "I thought... I thought you were dead, Brother. I had lost hope. But now... you're back..."

Lein's chest tightened. His arms holding Lily clenched tightly, his jaw hardened.

Hearing the Anthony family name mentioned, his face turned dark. His eyes, which had been gentle, were now filled with a terrifying cold glint.

His reason for returning to Corholt City wasn't just to see Lily and his mother.

But also to take revenge.

He would take revenge for what happened to his family! He would take revenge for his father's death!

Lein slowly released the embrace, then looked at Lily's tear-stained face. He gently wiped his sister's cheek.

"Now, stay with Mom first, Lily," he said softly but firmly. "There's something I need to do. Don't worry, I won't be long."

Lily immediately panicked. Her eyes widened, her hands gripping Lein's arm tightly.

"Don't go see them, Brother!" she cried desperately. "They... they're no longer the Anthony family we knew. Their influence in Corholt City is already huge. They have lawyers, bodyguards, and connections everywhere. It's impossible to face them!"

Her voice trembled. "Please... don't go..."

Lein smiled thinly—a smile that didn't reach his eyes. A smile full of certainty and danger.

He stroked Lily's head once more, then said in a tone so calm, yet sounding like a judgment:

"Lily, there are things you don't know about me." His eyes gazed far out the window, as if seeing beyond these hospital walls. "Five years ago, I left as a weak and helpless young man. But I came back... as someone even death has to think twice before touching me."

He looked at Lily with a gaze full of conviction. "The Anthony family may be big in Corholt City. But me... I've walked on real battlefields. And trust me—there's nothing scarier than a man who has nothing left to fear."

Lein slowly released Lily's hand. "Wait for me here. Take good care of Mom."

Without waiting for an answer, he turned and walked away from the hospital hallway. His steps were firm, his back straight, and his aura... terrifying.

Lily could only stare at her brother's retreating back, her tears still flowing.

Meanwhile, in Lein's eyes, the fire of vengeance blazed—hot, deadly, and would not be extinguished until the blood debt was fully paid.

The knock on Krul Ashgor's door did not sound like a normal knock. It was rapid and uneven—the kind of knocking from someone who had forgotten how to be polite because their mind was entirely occupied elsewhere.Krul, who was still seated on his sofa, rose to his feet with an expression already prepared for anger before the door had even opened. He opened it himself. The man standing outside, one of the fifty he had dispatched the previous night, was pale, his breathing unsteady."Boss." His words came out in a rush, too hurried to be properly organized. "Everyone... everyone lost. Lein sensed them before he saw them.Forty aura signatures moving through the Varkaan Forest from the west. Not particularly fast—the pace of people traveling in a large group, unable to completely conceal the presence of so many individuals gathered in one place. He ran toward them. There was no reason to wait for them to come. They met between two massive Ironcrown trees, in a clearing wide enough for forty people to stand, but not spacious enough for all of them to move freely. They saw Lein approaching from the front.Several of those at the front instinctively slowed down, the natural reaction of people carried forward by the momentum of a group suddenly encountering something they had not expected.Lein did not slow down.He plunged straight into the first line.No spiritual energy radiated from him. Only his body, momentum, and reflexes sharpened for far too long to be called mere training. His right elbow smashed upward into the jaw of the man at the front. The man's head snap

Vera did not come at him with a single attack. She came with everything she had.Her axe swept from left to right in a horizontal arc powerful enough to split two ordinary trees in half if they had stood in its path. Lein took a single step backward, and the blade passed across his chest close enough for him to feel the pressure of it, yet it never touched the fabric of his shirt.Vera spun, using the momentum of the previous swing to transition immediately into a diagonal strike from above.Lein tilted his head to the right. The blade sliced past his left ear and crashed into a tree root behind him, cutting through a third of its thickness in a single blow.Vera did not stop. The axe rose again, this time from below, carrying soil and fragments of the shattered root upward in a motion that left no time to breathe between attacks.Lein jumped. He passed over the axe, landed on a higher root beside him, and steadied himself.Vera followed. One strike after another. And another. And ano

Dovan shot forward at the speed of a Peak Star Realm cultivator. His dagger was already in a thrusting position, aimed directly at the center of Lein’s chest. Just one step backward. And an attack launched at full speed had struck nothing but air.Dovan did not move immediately. Calculations were already running through his mind. The speed of that single step was equal to—or perhaps even greater than—his own. It was not a forced reaction. It was not a lucky guess. It was a precise read and an economical response. This man had seen the attack clearly enough to choose not to block, not to counterattack, but simply to evade with the minimum possible effort. That meant only one thing: if speed alone wa
