The man in the suit stood with his hands at his sides, bowing deeply to Reginald like he’d just found a lost treasure.
Reginald blinked. The guy looked familiar, yet… he couldn’t place him. “You know me?” Reginald asked skeptically. “Yes, Young Master Belmont,” the man said without hesitation. “The Belmont family business is not in a good state right now. And I’m more than grateful that Mr. Caesar brought me to you.” Caesar? The name made Reginald lift his eyes, and sure enough there he was. Caesar, in a crisp navy-blue suit, stepped out of the other car with his usual calm swagger. He was an older man who had a family but he was still a cool, chill dude. He waved once, casually, like he hadn’t just brought a strange man to him. Reginald’s shoulders eased slightly. He trusted that Caesar would never endanger him. “What’s your name?” he asked the man in the suit. The man gestured toward the car, leading him toward it with professional ease. Reginald followed. “I’m your secretary, young master Belmont. Noah Walker. Mr. Caesar said you were looking for me. Turns out… I was looking for you too.” With a soft thud, the door shut, and the black Audi peeled off into the street. The white BMW followed right behind, leaving the towering Alexander family headquarters in the dust. Eventually, the car stopped and Reginald was standing before a glacier-gray skyscraper labeled Big Belmont Shipping Lines. He stepped out slowly, his breath catching in his throat. He knew the Belmont family had a shipping empire, but this? This was something else. “Is this…” Reginald asked, turning to Noah with wide eyes, “...the whole building of the Belmont family business?” He remembered the docks; the container yards, the big cargo ships groaning under metal and sea salt. He’d been there once or twice. But this? This was different. This was the brain. The command center. The place where deals were sealed, where people counted millions and signed off billions. Noah nodded. “Yes, Young Master Belmont. And the entire building belongs to you.” Reginald scoffed, almost laughing. “You can’t just say that like my dad isn’t the CEO.” But when they stepped inside, all laughter died. The moment they entered the lobby, every staff member froze. Papers, keyboards, conversations… everything stopped. One by one, they stood and bowed. “Greetings, boss.” Reginald stood there, absorbing their voices. It felt different here. Different from Christine’s world, where he was nothing but a breathing inconvenience. These people? They treated him like gravity. Still, one question dug into him. Why the hell were they calling him boss? What happened to his father? Or his grandfather? Honestly, he hadn’t asked after them. They hadn’t asked after him either. No one from that side had come for him, not when he was being treated like shit by Christine, not after he recovered his sanity. They gave him away like some spare heir to a stone-hearted woman like he was worth barely a million. He followed Noah into the elevator, rising all the way to the top floor. He expected to see his father. Or his grandfather. Those were the men in charge. But when the doors opened… Chaos. Phones rang off the hook. Assistants ran back and forth, hands full of papers. Desperation filled the room like smoke. “I’m sorry, our boss will be here soon, we’ll get back to you as soon as possible!” “Could you check if the shipping date can be postponed? We have no official head right now. We can’t guarantee those goods will make it through customs safely!” “I’m really sorry, truly sorry,.please bear with us!” Reginald stepped into the office that was totally in disarray. He was silent and stunned. What was happening to the family business company?! When they heard the office doors swung open, the chaos paused for a moment and then turned into something else entirely. All heads turned as Noah stepped in, Reginald at his side. Gasps followed. Some covered their mouths. A few looked ready to cry. "Boss, you're finally here!" They yelled. Reginald froze. “Wait… what? No… I'm not….” He raised both hands, trying to stop the misunderstanding before it snowballed. But it was already too late. Phones were out and the staff began calling clients left and right. “Yes, yes! Our boss is back, and we’ll finalize the shipping schedules immediately! Stocks can be moved by the end of the week!” Reginald looked around in disbelief. “What the hell are you all talking about?! What is going on?!” Boss? Back? Him? He’d never handled a day of this business in his life before. Ever. Noah stepped beside him and laid a hand on his shoulder. “Young Master Belmont… your father left a will. He passed the entire family business to you before he died along with your grandfather and grandmother. All three died offshore.” Reginald's world tilted. “What?” He spun toward Caesar, who stood silently near the glass wall with his head bowed. “You knew?” Reginald demanded. “You knew and never told me?” Caesar finally raised his eyes. “Lord Reginald… they died six years ago.”

Six years. Six years ago???? Was that why the Belmont estate felt so hollow that day when he went back there after he got his senses back? Was that also why Caesar had called the landline that day too?“And you…” Reginald pointed between both men. “You were holding this position… for me? Since six years ago?”Caesar gave Noah a sideways glance and nodded. “I had to pose as your grandfather’s trusted aide to your stepmother. Something wasn’t right. Meanwhile, this business was being kept alive by Noah, at least, whenever Mr. Garrett Belmont wasn’t tearing it apart.”Reginald narrowed his eyes. “Garrett. Of course.” He sighed. “Aside from my stepbrother, who else has been causing problems?”Almost on cue, a sleek black van pulled up outside. Reginald leaned toward the window. “Who’s that?”Noah didn’t answer directly. Instead, he said, “Young Master Belmont… I think it’s time we headed to the Vision Room.”The name had sounded dramatic but when he stepped inside, Reginald understood wh

Knock! Knock! The door outside the CEO's office was knocked.Clyde glanced at the entrance and said, “Lady Boss, it’s Mr. Belmont.”“All right, let him in,” Christine said with a casual wave of her hand. The door to the CEO’s office swung open.Reginald stepped in, suppressing his displeasure at the tiny woman seated across the room. “This woman,” he muttered internally, then said aloud, “Don’t you think your rule about me and fools not being allowed into your company is a bit too irrational?”Christine continued reviewing the documents in her hands, not even bothering to look up. “Irrational?”“I am your husband, after all. Whether fool or not,” Reginald stated directly, wasting no time on unnecessary words.Christine paused. The pen in her hand pressed heavily into the paper. Finally, she looked up. Her cold eyes was filled with displeasure and hostility. “Reginald Belmont, what makes you think I acknowledge you as my husband?”“Because you hugged me tightly last night while you sle

Reginald dialed. The line clicked almost immediately.“Lord Reginald,” came Caesar’s voice as steady and respectful as always.“I counted eighteen cars,” Reginald said. “Where are the other four?”There was a pause on the other end, followed by the shuffle of paper, then Caesar’s voice again, “Eight of the eighteen cars only had drivers in them. No jewellers.”Reginald's brow creased. “So?”“So those were cars that carried what was meant to be carried by the other four cars. The gifts you prepared, diamonds, gold bars, platinum pieces, meant for those missing four cars were split across the eight cars. We assigned the jewellers to only ten of the carriers to inspect and validate before arrival.”“You split the inventory but cut the inspection crew?”“It was a last-minute adjustment, Lord Reginald. You only gave us less than the hours of a day to get all those prepared after you texted me last night.”Reginald exhaled slowly. He was not angry. “Call them back and tell them to return. I

"You're the clingy ex-boyfriend my girlfriend was talking about? The laughing stock of the Belmont family who is now a pet for the Alexanders to play with?"The man sneered, pulling a bank card from his coat pocket and flicking it over arrogantly. "There’s two grand on this. Take it and get lost."Ex-boyfriend?Reginald froze slightly and turned to Eloise, confused. Since when… was he her ex?Eloise Payton straightened her back, her expression cold, deliberately stepping away from him. "I finally got that multi-million-dollar project you once promised but never had the ability to deliver. I started my own firm but it's a studio now. I’m a company boss now, worth millions."She gave a chilling smile. "I heard you just recently started thinking clearly again? Doesn’t matter. Until you’re fully sane, you’re still a lunatic to everyone anyway. We’re not on the same level anymore. You really think someone like you deserves me? I’m the daughter of the former mayor, remember?"Reginald looke

Reginald narrowed his sharp eyes. A faint trace of sarcasm flashed within his mink down eyes. Why did the air suddenly smell a bit… sour?He let out a low chuckle, careless and teasing. “A man and a woman, legally married, spending the night together in the same room. Little brother, what do you think happened?”Even as Garrett’s face turned dark with fury, Reginald showed no concern. In fact, he seemed to delight in stoking the fire.“You—!” Garrett, enraged, raised his hand to strike. But before the blow could land, a voice cried out by the door.“The Ice Queen… she’s actually asleep!”The one speaking was Clyde Banks, Christine’s personal assistant. Peeking in through the crack of the door, he was utterly stunned. His cold, insomniac lady boss was fast asleep in bed, sleeping soundly as peaceful as a child. It was Monday morning. It was already past nine, and Christine still hadn’t shown up to the office or called anyone to say she wouldn't be coming to the office. Clyde had panick
