Officer Miachel raised up his hand just when the cops were about to push Joel. " If any of you try to lay your stinky hands on him, I will make sure my angel will have that hand as her lunch!"
The chief officer and a familiar man walked in. Joel recognises this man as David Campell. He was a butler of the Winston family. "How dare you arrest him?" The chief barked at the policeman.. Joel on the other hand was surprised to see David Campbell here. He wasn't close to the man and has never really spoken much with him at work. So he was surprised that David knew who he was. “I am sorry, young master for arriving late.” He bowed his head and apologized to him. "You would never lay your hands on anyone again after this” He punched the policeman, and that made him fall on the ground with a thud. "How dare you lay your filthy hands on him? Don't you know who he is?" ." David turned his face to the policeman and threatened him.. The policeman looked confused. The chief officer decided to clear the air. "He is Carl Brown Winston's grandson, the heir to the Winston Empire." Joel had removed the Winston name from his name a few years ago and lived a low-key life away from the luxury, fame and spotlight, and deliberately left behind the Winston name and lived a quiet life to protect his wife and daughter from the enemies of his father, Carl Brown Winston. His decision to live anonymously had been driven by a desire to shield his loved ones from the dangers that haunted his family's legacy. The policeman trembled as the Chief officer revealed Joel's real identity. "Uncuff him right this minute," The Chief officer ordered. “I am sorry..sorry,Mr. Winston. I didn’t know who you were. Please forgive me.” he shuddered with fear. Joel's hands were freed, and he was given back his coat by the policeman. “What are you doing here? I never called you?” Joel was relieved that he had been free but he was not happy to see David. “Young master, the empire is at stake that's why the grandmaster has requested to bring you back home.” Davide explained to him, but Joel's face stiffened. “I can’t return back home. My family would be in danger.” He replied to him, as he heaved a sigh. “They will still kill your wife and daughter whoever is related to the Winston Empire. They won’t show mercy to anyone. But with power, you can save your wife and daughter. This fraud case was also set up for you but without power you failed to save yourself.” David gave every reason to return back to his empire. With this, he turned his face to the policeman, anger flashed in his eyes. He knew there was something fishy in arresting him. "I can never commit the crimes I have been charged with. So who put you up to this?" The chief officer growled. "Better start talking before you lose your job for trying to frame the heir of the Winston Empire." The policeman hesitated, he had cold sweat trickling down his forehead. He immediately went on his knees to plead. "I'm sorry, boss. It was Frank Simsero, his senior at his company, who called me to take him into custody." Joel felt betrayed. Why would Frank do this to him? "Why would Frank do such a thing?" Joel asked. "Frank said something about how Jimmy Hendrik, the CEO of your company and a group of powerful men want to put you behind bars. Frank actually has your wife as we speak. He wants to sleep with her. It's why he made you work at the office overnight." Joel was shocked. He punched the policeman. "You son of a bitch. You kidnapped my wife for him?"

She splashed water onto her pale face. Losing Mimi was something she wasn't prepared for. Joel would have almost died if she hadn't gotten to his room when she did.
