 “Set the camp here.”

“Yes, My Lord. What about all these people?”

“Keep them away unless they are from the Crystal Pulse. If anyone refuses to listen, just get rid of them. If it is a person from my world, capture them and lock them up. I think you know how to deal with them, right?”

“Yes, My Lord.”

Garth took his order seriously.

Even though he wasn’t a guard, he was the highest-ranking person in the Caravan after the Lord and the Mistress. He wasn’t a guard, but he had to maintain the caravan while he was here. All the others should take orders from him unless there was an assigned leader to replace their lord, which there wasn’t.

“Sniff! Sniff!”

The heavy sniffing sound was still there as the curious mutated Cave bear tried to figure out about the humans. Horses and the other animals with them seemed to be unhappy about it. Also, the humans kept their distance from this giant.

“Daddy, Hanna wants to buy sweets for the children.”

Their conversation was interrupted by the sweet voice which immediately took Jason’s attention.

“As you wish.”

“Then… Can Hanna also tell them stories in the evening?”

“Hm… You can….”

“Yey! Daddy is the best. Eh… Mommy is also the best.”

Hanna sheepishly looked at Amelia as she was in her arms. Since Mommy didn’t look angry, her face bloomed into a smile.

She no longer feared the strange people of this place. What mattered to her was they were closer to home, and she could buy sweets from there. This was the place where she met her daddy.

“What about that bear?”

Amelia nudged her head at the Cave bear.

She said it was okay for Hanna to have it, but she wondered if she should control it with force.

“Hm… Should we tie it up or something?”

Jason also felt there was no plan on controlling the bear. He simply agreed because Amelia said it before, and the bear wasn’t stronger than a Master-level warrior. However, keeping it from harming humans and preventing it from getting hurt was another matter.

He wondered if this bear would understand his words, but he had a big doubt about it. Even Nyx, who had an excellent level of intelligence, took years to understand his words.

“Daddy, can Big Teddy Bear come with us?”

“Big Teddy Bear?”

Jason gave a side glance to Amelia. She was the one who encouraged this in the first place.

“No. I don’t think it is a good idea to let it go into the town again.”

They passed through the town once already as they decided to set up the camp near the gate facing the Light Shone.

The massive bear already caused a commotion when they passed through once, and it wasn’t a good idea to take it back in.

‘Now that I think about it… How do I keep it here?’

The bear was following him, and he wondered how he should keep it in one place.

“Big Teddy Bear, you have to stay here. We will come back, okay?”

“Huff! Huff!”

The massive creature sat on the ground releasing a weird sound.

“Does it understand you?”

Jason looked at Hanna with surprise.

“It is hard to tell him things, Daddy. I think Teddy Bears are stupid. But he can understand when Hanna says it.”

“Hm….”

Jason lost his words again. This thing didn’t look anything like a Teddy Bear, but it was what Hanna wanted.

“Mommy, can Hanna go with Fluffy Kitty?”

“You want to ride?”

“Uhuh!”

Hanna nodded her head with a pleading look in her eyes.

Since she got a lot of permission from Daddy, it was time to take the rest from Mommy.

“Alright! But you have to stay close to us, and have to go into the building with us.”

Amelia looked at Jason to see if there would be any objections, it was the same thing he did before he gave an okay to Hanna. She wasn’t used to sharing her right to make decisions, but their slight trouble with the Cave bear made her rethink. It was better to see if Jason was against it or not. If both of them agreed, it wouldn't be her fault alone.

This was exactly what Jason did, and she could hardly blame him for anything when it came to Hanna. Of course, there were many other things she could hammer him for, and she wouldn’t hesitate to do it when they were alone.

“Okay, Mommy. Let’s go, Fluffy Kitty.”

“Meow!”

Nyx jumped off Hanna’s arms and instantly grew about one and a half metres tall and waited patiently until her master’s mother placed her little master on her back.

“Yey! Let’s charge! I mean… Slowly!”

Hanna remembered her mommy telling her to stay close, so running into battle wasn’t good. Also, she had no enemies.

“Sigh… That is not a Teddy Bear….”

Jason glanced at Amelia as Hanna gave them some privacy.

They stopped at Forestedge for the night, and he wanted to meet Boris as a formality and buy some things for Amelia and Hanna while they were there.

Since their Caravan was big, he didn’t stop while they passed through the town. Also, the players and natives gathered around to see their arrival, creating a commotion.

“You are the one who told her all those stories.”

“But… I told her about toys.”

“Well… You should have explained to her better. Come on now!”

‘How is that even my fault? You are the one who said she can keep it.’

Jason stopped in a daze.

“What? Aren’t you coming?”

“I am….”

He helplessly shook his head before following Amelia.

“What about you?”

“What about me?”

Jason looked around in confusion.

“Yes, Daddy. What about Daddy?”

Hanna simply repeated what Amelia said, but she was busy trying to convince Nyx to wear clothes; which showed no sign of success as Nyx refused to get down from the ceiling of the building.

“What are you going to buy?”

Amelia stopped browsing through the clothes and paid her full attention to Jason.

“Me? I don’t need much because my clothes get cleaned every time I log in and out. As long as I don’t damage them….”

Jason stopped with his excuses when he noticed Amelia’s annoyed expression.

“Excuses! I wanted to talk to you about your choice of clothes for a while now.”

“Huh? I will buy…”

“No. I can select them here. It is about what you wear in your world. Samson showed me something.”

“Ah….”

Jason didn’t know what he should say.

“Aren’t you a famous person there?”

“I am a bit….”

“Then why are you wearing those old clothes?”

“But….”

Jason wanted to say those were new.

He recently bought some clothes, but he didn’t have much sense of fashion. Recently, Amelia kept her eye on what he wore while he was on Yuriel. He thought it would change when they came back to Light Shone, but apparently, he was wrong.

“I asked him to show me what the people with power wear in your world. I told him to buy those clothes for you.”

“Huh?”

“What? You can dress simply, but you need to look appealing. But not too much. Not when you are there.”

“Eh… What?”

Jason didn’t hear the last part as Amelia only whispered in a very low voice.

“Nothing! Let’s choose what you are going to buy today.”

“Ah….”

Jason gave a helpless shrug and he saw Hanna looking at him with Nyx in her embrace. Apparently, their argument had been over for a while, and Hanna had pity in her gaze.

The little one was sympathising with him for getting scolded by Amelia, and Jason felt even more helpless with her gaze.

“Come on. This one is your size.”

“Do you want to follow them, Sharon?”

“I don’t know, uncle. But I think not for the time being.”

“It is for the best. No one knows where his strength is coming from. But it is very clear his backer is a terrifying one.”

Boris nodded his head in relief as Jason left the town with his family.

He was among the few people who knew what happened to the people who went after Jason. They only found six bodies left in the wilderness with a devastated piece of land.

No one knew who or what assisted Jason in doing so, but it wasn’t a simple backer.

“Those aliens! They are going crazy.”

Sharon’s eyes darted to the players who followed Jason from a distance.

She wanted to follow the female Grandmaster who already shook the capital of Alexandria with her unyielding spirit. However, she knew her uncle had genuine reasons to worry about her.

Even the people who came with Jason weren’t ready to utter a word about their journey, and Jason didn’t mention it even once he chatted with her uncle.

‘Whatever happened there, his people are too afraid to talk about it.’

The armies of the Brodice Kingdom attacked Alexandria, and the long-anticipated war began earlier than predicted.Across Earth and Yuriel, people waited for the Crystal Pulse to respond. They took a stance no one expected. Jason Hope was usually the aggressor—his responses were swift and violent. This time, the Crystal Pulse summoned their warriors back to Light Shone. The groups sent to clear bandits and gather isolated villages moved fast, passing through Forest Edge within a few days and returning to Light Shone.Rumours spread. Some said Jason feared a direct clash. Others believed he was regrouping for a strike after organising. The war, after all, was between Alexandria and the Brodice Kingdoms, and Light Shone was a small, independent village that belonged to neither side. Yet the Brodice Kingdom’s real goal was clear: to conquer Light Shone to re

"Extra! Extra! The Brodice Kingdom's army attacks Alexandria! The new residential area is opening in the coming week!"The boy’s voice echoed through the stone-paved streets of Light Shone, piercing the morning bustle with its urgency. From his spot by the second-floor window, the hooded figure watched the scene unfold below. His sharp eyes followed the boy as he waved a fresh stack of newspapers, his words catching the attention of passersby. Several villagers paused mid-step to purchase a copy, chatting as they read, calm, composed, and unshaken.‘So they can read now.’That wasn’t the case in most places he’d been. The people of Light Shone had been educated—something alien to most kingdoms. But what caught his attention more was the hesitation in the well-dressed merchants nearby. Their eyes lingered on the boy, some stepping forward only to stop short. It wasn’t the new residential area that gave them pause. It was the war.The first headline—about Brodice’s assault on Alexandria

"Aren't you worried about that old man? Shouldn't we get rid of him?"Amelia only brought it up once Hanna had drifted to sleep, still clinging tightly to her.Jason didn’t look up from his papers."He isn't snooping around, is he?"His hand moved smoothly, turning a page with practised ease. The light from the magic lantern caught the fine lines of modern paper, not parchment.A subtle sign of change. One of many Earth-born advancements quietly seeping into Yuriel under his guidance.Amelia brushed a soft strand of hair away from Hanna’s face, her eyes lingering on the child's peaceful expression."Hm. But none of your people can stop him."Her voice was calm, but the edge beneath it was unmistakable.Jason finally looked up and met her gaze."Let's wait and see," he said."I don't think he’ll stay long. He’s one of the Shadows. They carry out the Grand Wizards’ will. People like him don’t linger—they act."He paused. The words that followed were slower. More thoughtful. He didn’t bot

  • 307 - Peace

"It is indeed impressive. No wonder those fools from the Brodice Kingdom are terrified of you."The hooded figure removed his invisibility, stepping out of the corner with composed movements. His voice was steady and regained the cool confidence of someone who knew his worth.“And you are indeed a powerful woman, Madam Amelia. This is my first time witnessing the presence of a Peak Grandmaster. They are… extremely rare. Rarer than Grand Wizards, in fact.”Despite his previous caution, the Master Wizard now carried himself with certainty. He wasn't someone easily intimidated—and though he wouldn’t pick a fight here, his pride wouldn’t allow him to remain cowering either.“Eh! The ghost is here! Catch it!” Hanna started struggling in Amelia’s arms with sparkling eyes.Amelia held her firmly."That is not a ghost, baby." The atmosphere grew heavier, the tension thickening with each breath. The envoys from the Brodice Kingdom stood their ground, their jaws clenched in barely contained frustration.Their eyes—especially those of the Grandmasters—never left Amelia. There was fear there, even if none of them dared to admit it. One step too far, and they knew she could crush them where they stood.Still, their leader stepped forward, holding a scroll with trembling fingers masked by feigned authority.“We are envoys of the Brodice Kingdom,” he declared, voice echoing with forced confidence.“I stand here on behalf of His Majesty—the absolute ruler of our lands. In his name, we extend a proposal of peace. We are willing to lift the bounty on your head... in exchange for removing the bounties you have placed on His Majesty and his subjects.”His words were rehearsed—measured—but anyone could see the nerves behind them.“No.” The room froze. The envoy blinked.“W–What?” Even the officials of Light Shone looked

  • 305 - Tell Me

‘This place… it’s really busy…’ The hooded figure observed the bustling administrative hall in silent awe. He had expected chaos—a disorganised mess of self-proclaimed rulers who were unfit to govern. But instead, what he saw was efficiency. Decisions were being made on the spot, minor issues were being resolved instantly, and orders were being swiftly relayed.Even without direct oversight, everything flowed seamlessly. The alien humans had a system, and they had something else, something his people lacked—Instant communication. He knew of it. They called it a forum or something.‘A divided authority, yet still centralised around a leader…’ His gaze flickered toward the two empty seats in the center of the hall. A symbol of true leadership. Those seated around them were not aristocrats, not nobles, but humble-looking men and women dressed in practical, simple clothing. Yet their eyes were sharp, their minds sharper. Each of them radiated competence.‘These aren’t placeholders. These
