Chapter 4 : New Facts

All the guests stopped dancing, screams were heard very loudly filling the hall that night. A crystal chandelier that was quite large in size fell down, right after the gun sound was heard. Xavier froze in place, he saw the man named Seth survived, but his leg was crushed by the end of the lamp, while the young woman who danced with him survived because he was far from under the lamp.

The situation turned dramatic; all the guests scattered, accompanied by screams of fear. Originally, Xavier was planning to leave there, but he saw Olivia, who was in an unsafe state. Suddenly, he ran to Olivia and took her to hide behind the buffet table.

bang! bang!

The sound of gunshots continued to be heard, along with the guests running out of the hall. From where he was hiding, Xavier could see Alex running with the crowd and escaping. Then he held Olivia's hand as he led her to leave the building through the back door.

"We have to get changed first!" Olivia exclaimed.

Xavier looked back; several bodyguards sent by Seth had started to move. They kept looking for the culprit by shooting bullets; it was very dangerous for Olivia. "There's no time, come on!"

They ran again, then entered Olivia's car. Xavier drove the car out the back door of the building at full speed, they had to leave before anyone noticed them.

"You're crazy!" Olivia snapped at Xavier.

"Next time, don't bring foreign men with you, at your own risk!"

When he heard the sound and saw his figure through the mirror, Xavier suddenly braked and nearly injured them all. Luckily, at this time, the street was very quiet because it was late at night.

Xavier widened his eyes when he saw a woman sitting in the passenger seat, he ignored Olivia's curses at him for braking suddenly. The woman sitting in the passenger seat was the one who had danced with Seth in the hall just now. The woman just looked at Xavier with an annoyed look.

"Who is she?" Xavier opens his voice.

Olivia who was still clutching her head looked back, then she replied curtly, "She's my sister, Emily Rodriguez!"

The woman in the shedding chair just laughed sarcastically, then she took off the long black wig she was wearing. Xavier's body stiffened when he saw Emily's real hair which was very similar to the figure of the maid he saw in the swimming pool. Everything was very surprising to him.

Just as Xavier was about to speak again, he heard the sound of a car's horn from behind. At first, he thought it was Alex's car, but it wasn't.

"That's not Alex's car, get out of here quickly!" Olivia exclaimed with a panicked expression.

Suddenly at that time Xavier stepped on the gas and drove at full speed. Occasionally he made sure that there was only one car behind chasing his car, but he was wrong. It turned out that there were two cars chasing him now.

"Shit, they realized!" he grumbled.

"Calm down and call Alex now!" she exclaimed.

Olivia immediately contacted Alex using her cell phone, "Where are you?"

"Headquarters, everything is smooth right?" replied Alex from across the phone.

"No, they are after us. It is not possible to return to base for now,” Olivia panicked.

"Just leave it to me. Where is the base?" interrupted Xavier.

Olivia was silent for a moment; she had no intention of answering Jacob's question, and neither did Emily, who looked very calm in the passenger seat.

"Are they carrying guns?" Alex again asked from the other side of the phone, "If so, find a way to avoid them, and I will send people."

Olivia seemed to be biting her lower lip; she glanced at Xavier, who still looked calm. Then he sighed, "Soria's apartment, 29th floor."

Xavier didn't give any response; he stepped on the gas even more because the car behind was getting closer and said, "Both of you wear seat belts!"

After making sure Olivia and Emily were safe, Xavier slammed on the brakes while turning the car around. He was a real pro at driving that night, even though the two women he was with looked terrified.

"Get ready to duck!" Xavier exclaimed.

bang! bang!

Emily and Olivia immediately looked down when their car was close to the two cars that had been chasing them. Car windows were perforated and cracked when their enemies were wearing rifles when their cars passed each other.

However, after the tense event, they survived. When they were about to go to the location that Olivia mentioned, there was a black sedan approaching their car.

"That's Alex's car!" she exclaimed.

Xavier only glanced at the black sedan from the rearview mirror; it seemed to distract the enemy because the distance between their car and the car was quite far. Because of that, Xavier stepped on the gas and turned right.

"Is the car from earlier going to be okay?" she asked.

"Sure, I saw something behind that car," Xavier said.

"That's a car designed by Alex, if I'm not mistaken. Behind that car there is a weapon that can blow up more than two cars," Olivia interrupted, and she immediately called Alex back, "We are safe; thank you for your help."

"When did you guys arrive?" asked Alex from across the phone.

"We've arrived," Olivia replied as she turned her gaze to a towering apartment with Soria written on it.

Alex opened the door for them. at first glance it doesn't look like a headquarters, but just like an apartment in general. The living room of the apartment they called the headquarters was very luxurious, even more luxurious than Xavier's apartment.

After the door was closed, Olivia seemed to jog and hug Alex. Xavier could only watch her from where he stood, then his gaze fell on Emily who looked very relaxed sitting on the couch. Xavier walked over to the woman and sat down next to her.

"You were surprised to see where I was, huh?" asked Emily, opening the dialogue.

"Not really," Xavier replied as he leaned back on the couch. His gaze drifted to every detail in the room.

"Tell me, what is your real goal?" Again Emily asked, and this time the woman seemed to keep staring at Xavier, "You can't fool me."

When he heard it, Xavier was silent while watching the intimate scene performed by Olivia and Alex at the door. They looked very intense, in contrast to the situation between Xavier and Emily, which was very tense.

"What's your name?" she asked again.

"Jacob Brown—"

"Your real name?" interrupted Emily.

The two of them stared at each other for a few moments. Xavier is silent; it's impossible if his cover is exposed, right?.

Emily chuckled, "I knew it. Whoever you really are, don't ever think you can fool me."

Xavier smiled; he realized that Emily and Olivia were two different people. Maybe Olivia could be fooled, but not Emily, who always seemed alert to everything around her. Just by looking at the woman's expression, Xavier could understand her character. Emily is a beautiful woman who is always calm under any circumstances.

"Today's plan went very smoothly; the old man just rushed to the hospital!" Olivia exclaimed happily. He walked over to Xavier and sat down next to him. Olivia leaned against Xavier, hugging him from the side.

"My job is done," said Emily.

"Thanks for the help, Emily," Alex replied.

Xavier's forehead creased in surprise, "Aren't you guys working together?"

"Not with Emily, honey. She just helped me," Olivia replied.

Emily got up from her seat and walked away, but before leaving she reprimanded Olivia and Alex, "Be careful with that person."
