Wild Boar.

The next day which was the 24th of march 2020, the Biller's manor was buzzing with servants moving left and right, decorating and preparing for today's event.

The Biller family would host a party to welcome Mr Charles Biller from the hospital and for his safe and quick recovery.

It's was 06:15 AM but everybody was wide awake doing one thing or the other except for a certain oblivious someone.

In the servant quarters, a stone throw away from the manor, a certain someone was still fast asleep, not knowing of today's event and how busy everyone was.

A female servant who was assigned to clean the servant quarters today was doing her job obediently but when she got to the male room, she noticed someone was still lying on their bed.

She frowned a bit and walked up to the person, she tapped lightly on his shoulder but the person wouldn't move an inch.

She leaned a bit towards him and noticed he was the new male servant that was appointed just yesterday.

"If he keeps slacking off in this manner, he could loose his job." She whispered to herself a little worried for this newcomer and as she stared at his sleeping face, she then noticed how handsome he was.

It made her wonder why someone like him would be here. He was way too good-looking to be working here as a servant.

She proceeded to lift her hands to touch his face when...

"Olivia!" Her name was screamed by Madam Maeve, the head of the servants.

Olivia became so startled that she straighten up her back immediately before Madam Maeve stepped into the room, looking as grumpy and scary as ever.

"What are you doing slacking off, get this done and quickly come to the kitchen, there's so much that needs to be done." Madam Maeve ordered and was going to step out when she noticed a silhouette on the bed.

"Who's that?" She asked no one in particular as she squinted her eyes in the direction of the bed.

"He is new..." Olivia trailed, hoping this young man wouldn't be punished for sleeping during work hours.

"New?" Madam Maeve asked and walked towards him, she frowned down at him with her mouth pursed and Olivia knew that look from Madam Maeve was not a good sign. And after staring at him for a few seconds, Madam Maeve left and walked into the bathroom.

Seeing this, Olivia quickly walked closer to the young man to wake him up because she knew what Madam Maeve was going to do if she walked out of the bathroom.

She tapped and shook him vigorously but the young man was nowhere near waking up.

Hearing Madam Maeve's footsteps, Olivia quickly stepped away from the young man's bed. She silently sighed as she watched Madam Maeve empty the bowl of cold water on the young man.

And that followed with a loud gasp and coughing as the young man quickly stood up from the bed.

He looked really shocked and shaken by what he just went through.

Xavier wiped the water from his face as he tried to understand what just happened.

With an unending gasp, he tried to catch his breath, he looked around the unfamiliar room he was in and then his eyes caught sight of two big gowns.

That meant two women on big gowns were inside the room with him.

He quickly lifted his head up to meet two stares coming from two different women.

One that looked younger was staring at him with concern in her brown eyes while the other older woman was staring daggers at him with the anger of a wild boar.

Who were they? And what was he doing in this unfamiliar place? Xavier questioned in his head as he looked at the messy room with different bunk beds that showed people stayed here.

And then out of nowhere, his head began to ache uncontrollably. Making him groan while placing his hand on his head, trying to ease the ache. While Olivia was feeling sorry for him, the same could not be told about Madam Maeve.

"Have anything to say?" The older woman asked Xavier and he noticed how her voice sounded like a snoring wild boar...

"Huh?" He asked as a response, seeming lost and confused as to why he was here. And at the same time tried to calm his aching head.

"Why..." He proceeded to ask only to be interrupted by the harsh slamming of the bowl on his head.

Madam Maeve slammed his head with the bowl so hard that Xavier wouldn't stop groaning. What she hated the most was lazy servants and not to mention, he was new. He wouldn't even last here a week before he would be trashed away. Madam Maeve was very sure of that.

Seeing the situation, Olivia decided to help by speaking up to the young man, "It's working hour and you shouldn't be here sleeping when..."

"And what are you here doing? Shouldn't you be working?" Madam Maeve interrupted, she asked with her hands akimbo and her attention now on Olivia.

Olivia nervously smiled and quickly left the room, feeling sorry for the young man.

"And you!" She then face Xavier and pointed at him, almost poking his eyes.

"Huh?" Xavier looked up at her, a deep frown on his face, his hands still on his head.

"Follow me and not another word from you." She ordered and proceeded to leave the room.

Left with no choice, Xavier followed her, still lost and very confused.

They left the servant quarters and into the the main house, Madam Maeve was headed somewhere but Xavier wasn't bothered where she was taking him to because right now, he was simply admiring the interior of the house.

And he was oblivious of the stares he was garnering from the other servants.

"Who is he? He's so handsome," A female servant who stood by the kitchen door with Olivia and two other girls beside her asked as she couldn't take her eyes off him.

"Handsome, right but a servant? That's a huge turn off for me." Another female servant responded, causing the others to stare at her and she shrugged in response.

Madam Maeve was still walking with Xavier right behind her, he drank in the sight of every luxurious things around the house.

'How much hard work did it take to achieve this? This is probably inherited, that's right.' He thought to himself, wishing this was something he could own. But who was he kidding?

"Move faster, no time to slack." Madam Maeve spoke up, this time increasing her footsteps.

What's the rush? Xavier wondered but he too had to increase his steps to match Madam Maeve's.

And finally they got to the east side of the house and after passing arrays of doors, they stood before one and Madam Maeve knocked and they both stepped in after receiving approvals.

A/N: Thank you for reading this far. I hope this book is to your liking. This is my first time writing a male lead story and I'm a bit skeptical about this. But I can only move forward with your reassurance that I'm doing just fine.
