Oliver stayed behind for a second, finishing his drink in one gulp before slowly standing up.

He glanced down at Trisha, who was doing her best to maintain calm, yet her expression barely contained fury.

“You should leave too, Trisha,” Oliver said, his voice cold and emotionless. “Before you embarrass yourself even more.”

Without waiting for her response, he turned and followed after Nate and Rebecca, leaving Trisha to stew in the humiliation she brought upon herself.

Trisha sat frozen for a moment, anger burning beneath her forced smile.

However, as she spotted Oliver’s back disappearing into the crowd, panic flashed in her eyes. He’s the main reason why she was here. She can’t just let her leave!

She jumped up from her seat and hurried after him.

"Oliver! Oliver, wait!" she called out, catching some of the customers’ attention, especially when she pushed some of them just to weave through the bar’s crowd. “Excuse me!”

One of the women she pushed stumbled on the ground, and she looke

Trisha shrugged exaggeratedly.“It’s business. Everyone’s dirty if you dig deep enough,” Trisha answered, her shoulders already sluggish as she leaned on the chair.“But Denver and Jay? They’re survivors. Smart ones. They know how to cover their tracks.”Those words caught Oliver’s attention. He leaned forward, resting his elbows on the table. “And?” he asked, but based on Trisha’s expression, it seemed like she was hesitating to tell Oliver more, even despite the alcohol running through her veins. His voice dropped to a coaxing whisper, his lips almost brushing her ear, “Come on, Trisha. That he was finally able to taste her… So why does it look like he wanted to kill her with his gaze?“What’s wrong?” Trisha asked, her brows furrowed in confusion. “Didn’t you like it because I drank too much alcohol? Is that the reason your brows were furrowed like that—”Before Trisha could finish her sentence, Oliver suddenly held the collar of her shirt, slamming her to a car, their faces having a few distance against each other. It was full of tension, but not in the way Trisha hoped. Because this kind of tension was the one that could kill her. His instincts were screaming at him, and the air in the room felt suffocating.‘Why did Trisha need me to sign this now?’ Oliver asked, his brows furrowing. ‘What was she planning?’“I’ll need a moment,” Oliver said, his voice low. “I also need to personally check my account and see if I can withdraw from it or not.Trisha’s smile faltered just slightly, though she masked it quickly. “Sure. He could do it, right? At the parking lot?”Trisha did her best not to look shocked as soon as Denver said those words. But her eyes blew it all away.At the same time, she wasn’t that surprised with how much Denver knew. He had too many eyes in different places. Basically, now that Zayne was gone, the town was practically his.“I know that you’re not interested in gossip, and it’s the same as mine,” Trisha scoffed, rolling her eyes. “So, stop beating around the bush and tell me what you want.”Trisha couldn’t hide the annoyance in her voice. “You’re out of your mind if you think you still have any hold over him,” she said, her tone condescending. “And to be honest, I’m not afraid of you, or any tactics that you will use in the future.”Seraphine added, now her voice firm and laced with sincerity,“I’m not going to let you destroy what Oliver and I have, and the family we’re starting to build. So you can keep playing your little games, but it won’t work.” Seraphine’s voice was low and intimidating. “It’s over.”There was a brief, tense silence, and then Trisha’s voice was laced with anger. “You’re so naive, Seraphine.” Trisha chuckled sarcastically. “I’ll make sure you regret this. He’ll see the truth soon enough, that there are so many fish in the ocean, and she doesn’t need to stick with you. She added, “And when he does, you won’t even be a memory.”“Fishes?” Seraphine asked and laughed. Anastasia couldn’t be left alone.‘And if something bad happens to her while we’re not around, I don’t know if Seraphine could still take it,’ Oliver thought. So, he answered, “Alright.
