‘She found something?’ Rowan thought as the shock registered on his face. ‘Is it possible that she managed to get through Jack’s hacking?’

Like Rowan, Ray’s curiosity was piqued with Melissa’s words, too.

“What is it?” Ray asked, his tone low. “Does that have a connection with the torture room?”

“Yes,” Melissa answered without hesitation, clicking through the keyboard. “I found footage. They have some prisoners, but they took them away two hours ago.”

Ray blinked in surprise. “Two hours?”

“That’s what is written on this footage,” Melissa told him.

She did her best to sound calm, but at the same time, Rowan knew that she was having a realization just by looking at her expression.

“However, I don’t think they were brought outside,” Melissa added, her brows furrowed as she stared at the screen. “I can’t see more footage other than what I told you.”

She added, “I thought of a possibility.”

“There could be a hidden room in the torture room or the other areas… isn’t it?” Ray said as if he a

However, even though they had been fighting for quite a while now, Jack’s movement was still the same.He dodged and attacked perfectly and simultaneously, as if he were playing a game.“It’s nice to see this side again, Zero,” said Jack with a devilish tone.Jack added, “I really feel the happiest every time I piss you off, especially when I take one step ahead of you.”Oliver chose to ignore him. He only focused on offense and defense, while at the same time, he was waiting for Nick and Ray to update them.“Nick! Ray!” Melissa called them, the panic evident in her voice. “Please answer me! Are you two okay?”Melissa checked through the feeds, her expression becoming more desperate with every second. But the smoke in the weapons room blurred the cameras, and Melissa couldn’t do anything about it.“They can’t make it out alive,” Jack said with a smirk. “The clone’s self-destruction is an explosion, and Nick just did the perfect move to trigger it.”He glanced through the screen and s

“Don’t attack recklessly, Nick! You’ll die!” Melissa shouted through the comms. “Stay back! I’ll find a way out!”Jack, who was in the same room as he was still fighting with Oliver, chuckled devilishly upon hearing those words.“I know one way out,” Jack muttered, smirking as he defended himself from Oliver’s attacks. “It’s for them to die.”The shivers sent onto Melissa’s skin, but she didn’t let those things affect her.Instead, she clicked through the keyboard, opening different feeds, desperate to find an exit.‘There must be a reason why they’re buying time…’ Melissa thought, her brows furrowing. ‘The

“After all, the commander is doing his best, so I can sit comfortably in the command room and guide you,” Melissa added, her tone serious. With her fingers typing aggressively on the table, Melissa looked at the entire situation in the weapons room while ignoring the chaos between Oliver and Jack in the command room.“Go to its left side, Nick,” Melissa muttered, zooming the part toward the clone. “I can see something blinking on it.”“I didn’t know what it was—it could be a remote control or a bomb. It would be helpful if you could confirm it.”“Alright…”After taking a deep breath, Nick went into a fighting position and lunged forward, planning to shoot the man in the neck.“Nick, don’t,” Melissa suddenly commanded, her voice low. “I’ve noticed that its thermal heat exceeded in a short span. Any contact with an explosion could be dangerous for you and Ray.”“What?” Nick asked, his brows furrowing in confusion.“All of your enemies have guns, and they are even aiming at you earlier,”

“Samuel was right in his suspicion, huh…” Jack said, his lips curving into a smirk. “It should be hard for you to defeat, let alone fight with me.”“But look at you. You’re dodging as if it were nothing.”Oliver chuckled, his hands folded as he moved from left to right, avoiding Jack’s attacks, not even thinking twice about his movements.“What’s Samuel’s suspicion about me?” Oliver asked, raising an eyebrow. However, it doesn’t look like Oliver was genuinely curious about it.It seemed like Oliver was just taunting Jack, letting him see how unserious he was in their battle.“Come on, Zero. Don’t act like you don’t know!” Jack smiled devilishly as he lunged forward, aiming for Oliver’s head. “He had a suspicion that you’re something else!”“And he was right. Look at you know. Do you think that was a movement of an ordinary person?”Jack intentionally moved faster, pushing Oliver to the corner, as he continued his attacks.“You’re moving faster than lightning.” Jack clicked his tongue

  • Chapter 394: Oliver Vs. Jack

Jack tilted his head, the annoyance evident on his face upon seeing Oliver, and feeling the strain on Oliver’s grip.“So the great Commander finally arrived, huh?” Jack grinned devilishly. “Given that you’re here, I assume you already defeated the beta team?”The side of Oliver’s lips rose, his voice taunting, “That’s already the beta team? I thought I was fighting with some trainees.”Jack smirked, feeling annoyed, but at the same time, he easily estimated Oliver’s strength.‘So he grew stronger in a short time,’ he thought, clenching his fists. ‘I’m thrilled to see how much he improved from our previous fight.’“The beta team is weaker than the ones fighting with Nick and Ray now,” Jack finally spoke, his voice dangerously low. “Those were the alpha team.”Oliver raised an eyebrow.“You really planned to make me fight against the beta team? Don’t you think it was unfair? It looks like you’re underestimating me.”“No. I would never do that to the mighty Zero.” Jack shook his head, hi

  • Chapter 393: Save Her

Melissa was watching intently, which is the reason why she realized something. Her voice erupted in their ears, panic barely held back as she needed to focus.“Nick, flank it! It may be strong, but its movements are predictive!" Melissa shouted through the comms. "Don’t aim where it is, aim where it’s going to be!”Nick exhaled sharply, forcing his hands steady. “Copy.” He darted sideways, anticipating the blur of movement. Then, he fired a three-round burst just as the clone shifted. One bullet ripped across its cheek, leaving a shallow burn. The clone froze for a fraction of a second, its head tilting with eerie mimicry, as if it was capable of being hurt like an ordinary human.“Adapting…” it muttered in Samuel’s warped voice.Nick cursed under his breath. “It learns. Fuck it."Rowan stood back, grinning like a proud puppeteer. “Yes, keep struggling. This is the fruit of your brother’s suffering. The more you fight, the more it evolves, and it's beneficial to us. It always will."
