“That is why I need to go back as soon as possible,” Melissa added as she stood up. “I’m sorry. I’ll go back as soon as it’s done.”

“No worries,” Oliver reassured. “You should go now.”

“Thank you, Commander.”

Melissa didn’t waste any more time. She went to the helicopter and used it to fly back to the Legion.

“You should also take a rest now, Ryan,” commanded Oliver in a gentle tone. “So you could return to the Williams Corporation in no time.”

“I understand.” Ryan nodded before going back to his room with Ray accompanying him.

With his observant nature, Ryan immediately understood that Oliver wanted him out of the picture for now so he and Ray could talk alone.
