Elena raised her shotgun. She pumped the handle. Ch-chk. She aimed at the monster on top of David.

BOOM!

The shotgun blast hit the monster in the side. The ice shattered. The monster was blown off David and tumbled into the snow.

But the white vapor instantly began to hiss. The monster started pulling its broken pieces back together.

"We cannot win this!" Jonah roared to his family. "There are too many! We have to retreat! Run back to the trucks!"
