Secrets Of Passion

Later that day.

~The dungeon~

"You wretched bastard!"

Samantha called from the mouth of the pit, kneeling at the side, half of her frame projecting into the length of the bars of iron covering the pit.

Kie was the first to stand up before the pale faced. The voice registered in his consciousness. He'd heard that voice before.

"See who is here, the dog of her mistress."

"The gods strike you down and make a mess of that your unbridled tongue, you wasted mead!"

She struck by in rage. Kie chuckled, walking into the strands of orange rays idling at the centre of the pit.

"Why waste your time coming here when you can't master your own words? You aren't only a puppet of your miserable mistress but a slave of your rage and unfiltered tongue."

She growled in rage and stood up from where she was. To Kie, twas as though she had left.

"You aren't strong after all."

He mocked, his voice loud enough to rip the cover of the pit off. But just in the twitch of an eye, she was back with a gallon in both her hands.

"What are you doing?"

The pale faced queried, but she seemed to owe them no explanation, as she tilted the gallon and out of it gushed fresh black oil.

Kie retained his position and he was bathed in the oil. The pale faced was standing next to him as was slow to move away. He had his share of the washing.

"You arse!"

Kie cussed as he swiped his sticky hand over his face, but the more he tried to get the oil off, the more he applied.

Samantha appeared again with a torch in her hand. She was almost going to drop it through the bars when the pale faced yelled,

"What will you tell the king? That you burnt his prisoners for no reason?!"

"Who told you I have no sane reason? The king has locked his daughter in her room; a full lockdown! She's now miserable and would not eat because of this inconsequential dork! If I kill him right now, that will be end of it all. After all, by tomorrow evening, you'll be sacrificed to appease Horus. I'll only make it quicker."

She paused for a while,

"And if I'm asked what happened, I would say before I got here, someone who found it fit for the honor of the gods has fought their course."

She dropped the torch in the pit. Kie observed closely while the pale faced screamed.

Kie hit the base of the wooden torch to the other end of the pit where the oil didn't get to. But his left hand caught fire.

"Fire, fire!"

The pale faced panicked and began throwing saliva at Kie's hand. But Kie hurried away and rubbed his hand heavily on the wet soil where the oil didn't get to. The fire waned out.

"Rid the flame off that and stop being a woman."

He tossed his head at the burning torch at the other end. The fellow hurried towards it and crushed the flame with the sole of his thick leathered sandal. Half the sandal was eaten by flame.

"Hey, you. What are you doing there?"

A voice came from above the pit, from behind Samantha. She looked to her back, twas a guard. She ogled Kie,

"Pray to the gods that I don't get another chance to be here before tomorrow evening."

She spat in the pit.

"You pray that I don't get out. I'll strangle you to death. You mummified nightmare!"

"Why aren't you in the palace?"

The guard got to her, she glared at the guard,

"And why should I answer to you?"

She walked away from him.

"She's a bitch who wants to kill us!"

The pale faced called at the guard but the guard snapped at him,

"Be quiet! Everyone wants you dead. Especially that nightmare."

He nodded at Kie who shot,

"Just a minute with you, I'll crush all your bones."

The guard chuckled and tilted the basket in his hand,

"Bastard."

The water and bread he had brought for them were wasted. One of the loaves hung between the bars as the guard brought out his dick.

He passed urine into the pit, tossing it the direction of the both of them.

"How small!"

Kie scorned. The guard made to revenge but there was little he could do at the moment. He walked away with no words.

"Are you insane?"

The pale faced turned to Kie, fisting his hand.

"If you're careless and don't fear death, won't you consider the person with you? Are you that proud?!"

Kie didn't reply. He walked to the opposite direction of the pit, removing his cloth. But the guy followed him,

"Never in your live should you try that."

Kie scoffed,

"Your live ends tomorrow. Stop washing me in your saliva. That's enough bathing for the day."

The guy lunged at him but he was quick to subdue him.

~The Palace~

"What's that?"

Wealene called, walking out of his chamber into the throne hall. There was a commotion at the door of the palace.

"We couldn't hold her back, His Greatness."

Jaith entered with a middled aged woman, Mara, Kie's mother.

"Let her be."

Wealene ordered as Mara hurried towards him. She fell on her knees, at his feet,

"Please do everything but kill my only son! You can banish him, banish us. We'll find a way. But please, do not kill him!"

She pleaded, her palms clasped, track of tears lacing her face.

"I have nothing to say to you, woman. All I can say is that, the life of your son is a danger for my daughter. The Princess."

"Please, His Greatness, I beg you in the name of the gods."

She threw herself on him, holding unto his feet, washing them in her tears.

"Take her away. I have nothing to give her."

Jaith signalled at two of his guards who came to her and grabbed her. She fought in vain but was pulled away. She bit into one of the arms of the guards and yelled,

"How could you even think of killing your own son, Wealene. How?!! What kind of father are you!!!"

Wealene scoffed,

"She's sick and stressed. Take her to the nurses, please!"

He dismissed and walked away.

"Wealene!!!"

She screamed, wailing, but the guards loved their jobs.
