As he was the next person to have to pay the fee, Nysh spoke: "Excuse me, I don't have any bronze left, can I get a change if I pay for with this?" As he spoke, he showed a tiny ruby.

As he showed the ruby, the guards looked at him in shock. They looked at him, scanned him thoroughly.

A person wearing tattered clothes, a really stinky odor is exuding from him, and a messy hair as well.

A BUMPKIN! That's their first thought, a smile crept on their face and nodded their head.

"Of course." One of the guards spoke, he then handed 80 silver coins back to Nysh and said: "Here."

Nysh nodded his head and handed the ruby.

But as he handed the gem to them, a voice sounded.

"Hold it, what the heck is this scam?" 

All of them looked back and felt shocked.

The man is a blonde-haired man, wearing full silver armor, he has a tower shield on his back and a long sword attached to his waist.

"Oh, it's Sir Leon!" One of the people who wanted to exchange his money for the ruby sounded.

The guards immediately trembled to hear his name, Marda Leon, one of the top adventurers of the Black Ridge City, also, son of Baron Schider.

Leon frowned at them and spoke: "That gem, let me see it."

The guard nodded and immediately handed it back to Leon, the latter scanned it and frowned deeper before speaking: "This is a Level 1 Crimson Ruby, it could fetch at least 3 gold coins, why would you only give him 80 silvers?"

The guards felt terrified, truthfully, it was easy picking, they would've earned an easy 2 golds if they sold it cheaply. A hundred silver could be exchanged for a gold coin.

He then handed it back to Nysh: "Friend, forgive our city for having such crooks, this ruby would fetch for at least 3 gold coins if you sold it cheaply, and if you sold it in any good establishment within the city, you could at least earn more than that, they should've given you 2 golds, 99 silvers, and 93 bronze coins as your remaining remunerations, but these crooks actually tried to swindle you from it, once again, I apologize."

Nysh shook his head, he took the ruby and handed it to back to the guards: "I'll just take the 80 silvers, I'm fine with that, after all, I only found it in the cave, and since I've need to eat, I think 80 silver coins is enough."

Leon looked at him for a while before nodding his head and moving inside: "That's your way, so be it."

After he entered, his party also entered with him.

The guard looked at Nysh and trembled: "Aye, brother, sorry for tricking you, here's all I could give, please take it."

That guard gave him another gold coin and 30 more silvers.

Nysh of course didn't banter and just accepted it before entering as well.

As a person that would make a shack to stay in for a week or two, living in caves whenever available, he felt quite envious of these people.

The clerk, a big lady wearing normal clothings and an apron with a design of a bear looked at him and spoke: "We don't have any public and private rooms left, but we have a luxury room available."

Nysh nodded his head: "That will do." He didn't really know what's the difference, so he could only go with it.

The clerk nodded her head: "It's a silver per night, how long will you be staying?"

Nysh took thirty silvers from his tattered bag and answered: "For thirty days."

The clerk was quite shocked, she had thought that Nysh will leave as soon as he heard the price based on his clothing, but it seemed that he's better off, and probably just returned from a mission.

Her mood immediately changed and smiled as she continued: "Will you be needing food services too?"

Nysh nodded, he hadn't eaten for a million years already, he'd at least like to eat.

The clerk nodded her head: "How many times would you be eating for a day and how many servings?"

Nysh replied: "Twice, breakfast and dinner, three servings per meal please."

The clerk nodded her head: "It's twenty bronze per serving, how many days?"

Nysh replied: "30 days."

The clerk nodded her head: "That's thirty-six silver coins."

Nysh just handed her forty silvers and smiled: "Please keep the change." 

The clerk smiled and nodded: "Thank you!" She then stood from her seat and spoke: "Please follow me, I'll bring you to your room."

Nysh nodded his head and followed the clerk.

After arriving, they reached the 4th floor of the Inn. Nysh entered the room while the clerk spoke: "If you need anything, please tell us and we'll probably be able to provide them if it's within our means."

Nysh nodded his head and closed the door.

He then looked around and found the room quite great! A bed, a personal bathroom, a window, a few other things he didn't know the use of, and a set of table and chairs.

He felt quite satisfied, he never knew living could feel this great.

He stood at something and saw himself, it's a mirror. He couldn't help but compare himself to the people he had met: "It was quite a good quality back then, I guess I'd need to have a change as well, I'd need to buy something new, but I guess I'll keep this for something as well.

He looked at his clothe's stats.
