Prologue: How to Trust a Demon I

"That does not make sense. If a demon could lay a hit on morgana, should we not be scared of the demon itself?" The air shimmered and a man wearing black shirt and trousers alongside a black pair of shoes muttered, his hand cupping the edge of his jaws.

"Why should we trust the fate of the world into the hands of a demon? I say, we kill him while we can!" He grimaced, holding up his right hand, clenched into the air.

Monsieur Demas swallowed now, sniffling as he watched the energy the young mister poured into his words. It reminded him of the days of his youth while he was still young and bubbling Not now when he had to be saddled with the responsibilities of the many under the name of the System Bureau.

Not that he regretted his position but then, he missed being as energetic as he used to be. Now, he was more of a figure head, although his power had not diminished but was more of a supportive power rathe than an active one. After all, the System Bureau would never want their number one system holder out in the way of danger.

Doing such would be detrimental to the whole existence of which they were founded on. And as such, it had become a burden that he had had to bear this far. Only that this time, he wished he could have been out there, out there so that things would not have gotten as bad as it was now.

Even though it would not have amounted to anything. So far, no system holder had been able to land a hit on Morgana. Even sneak attacks were all caught down to naught the moment they were launched. She was just as powerful as that, so much that it felt as though that Morgana was somewhat immune to their Systems.

A system that was immune to the abilities of other systems? Impossible but yet Morgana was the prime example of that.

The Morgana system had been found some time ago. It was prized among the top most prime systems when they discovered the relic that she occupied. A rare find as the legends had not exactly said how Morgana got to be sealed as well.

Sure the legends had stated that Morgana became a prime enemy of Camelot, forcing the hand of Arthur and Merlin against her but then again, to think that she would have ended up being sealed was improbable. After all, she was the one who theorized the sealing method.

No doubt, it would have been the King's second favorite Magician, Merlin who would have performed that feat but then, to think that someone as powerful as Morgana would get sealed?

The relic that Morgana ad been occupying had being given to one of their system holders as well.. Actually, that was the system that was bequeathed to that person. A female by the name of Fayomise.

But as things would go, the soul of Morgana had began to gain dominance, up until the very system that was placed to harness the latent energy was over riden by the Morgana herself. A rare thing such that had never happened in the history which the System Bureau had to build.

It did not take long for Morgana to cling on to the host of the system. That is the system wielder who had the system of Morgana. She used the body for a host and with that, gained a body through which her evil machinations ha come to light

And one thing she was after, was revenge. For all that had become of her, she wanted revenge, and to do that, she first began to destroy as many of those who possessed a system before then pouring out her rage on the entire world. A rage that he had been tasked to keep in place, although with great difficulty and with the loss of so many other system holders. Even those who were at Prime levels.

"You may think that but then again, let us be careful with what decisions we make now. Do you think it is wise to destroy someone who holds a system at a time when we are severely lacking in systems?" Another voice sounded off, coming from the far right of Monsieur Demas.

it was feminine in nature, the owner of the voice, walking to the center of the room where the rest of them were convened at. She had a white shirt on, two buttons open down to reveal her moderate sized cleavages. She was fair in complexion, her nature of skin being African due to the broad nose she had and her plump, luscious lips that was sparkled under the paint of red lipstick.

She had black wavy hair that spread across her shoulder as she spoke, her lower half having a white skirt on it.

"What do you mean? We are not sure that this is even a system!" Beatrice countered now. "More so, I am aware you must have seen the proceeding is what happened at the battle scene. the only word to classify this boy here..." Beatrice scoffed, kicking at the still body of Lekan. " Is a demon. And we all know what demons are, dont we? A demon cannot and should not be allowed to live, under no circumstances."

"Aha! someone who shares the same thoughts as I do." Dayo smirked, rubbing his jawline as he watched Beatrice speak. "She peaks the truth, you know."

"The truth is what you all are oblivious to." Another voice bursted out.

Monsieur Dems looked to the ceiling from which the voice sounded off. The ceiling was far off from the ground and from there, a masculine body descended. sliding down on a metal rod to the ground.

The face of this person was black, a wrapping of white scarf around his neck while having a pair of red googles over his eyes.

"Look around you... Is this the normal number of all of us who convene here? Are you all ignorant or just trying to avoid the truth here?"

The figure said and then with a huff, his body flickered, only to reappear on his knees beside the body of the boy on the ground.

"A lot of us had to go out there to try to stop the madness that she had in her. But unfortunately, how many of us have returned? Mostly us in the support department are the ones who are yet standing still." The figure said, his lower body clad in pure black almost as if the black was pat of his skin.

"Its okay if we try to play ignorant but not at a time like this." The figure said, looking up even as his googles flared up in a flashing yellow light. "This is not the time for jokes. Did Beatrice retrieve Morgana's relic?"

"Ah, yes..." Demas scratched his beard, looking to Beatrice now. "I guess we all got carried away by this boy that we forgot that., Please tell me, you have it. Only then can our victory be sealed."

Beatrice closed her eyes for a brief second. And when she opened them, she frowned.

"I am sorry." Beatrice said, feeling the eyes boring into her and expectant for an answer.

"Nothing to be sorry about if you have the relic. Or if your clones are still searching for it, then..." Demas said with a smile although his smile faltered with each second.

"No, that's not it." Beatrice swirled around to him , raising a bloodied hand to the face of Demas. "But my clones have retrieved everyone nd searched everywhere. The relic containing the Morgana system could not be found. We lost it. I am sorry, I failed." Beatrice said, bending her head now.

"It is okay. Beatrice. Everything was tight for us as well." Demas replied, putting a hand on her shoulder.
