Prologue: How to Trust a Demon II

"Now, we know what is applicable." The other female sounded off now. "We have Morgana still out there and only the heavens know whenever she would strike again. Would it not be better to have..."

"To have the one person who destroyed her earlier to be with us, ready for another counter against her the moments she sets out again?" The one with the googles said now.

"What are you saying? Keeping a demon around is worse than having Morgana!" Dayo yelled out, frowning deeper.

"That is true." Beatrice agreed, looking up now to the face of Demas.

"But it is logical. Demon or not, he is the only one who could land a hit on Morgana. Should that not be the positive point we should all be considering?" The female sounded off, teh one who looked African by origin.

"If it so disturbs you all, then I have a proposal. But only you can grant it, Monsieur Demas." The one with the googles said, standing to his feet.

Once he stood still, he stretched his hands, twisting his body left and right even as the his bones rattled and cracked in the process.

"The present is pretty much useless." He said. "You control time, one of the strongest systems ever. You can recreate this disaster that we live in now. "

"How?" Demas asked, frowning slightly. "I am not God, you know."

"Of course, but if you do this this way, it would work. Our present would be reset and humanity would never have to experience all of this." The googled one said.

"All you need to do first, is to freeze this time. You can stop time in specified location but based on your level, I am certain you can cover all the Earth, right?"

'Yes." Demas sighed, becoming interested. "What does that have to do with Morgana? She is still immune to all of our systems. She would only seek me out to kill. Plus my time spell would affect you all too."

"Dont worry about us, Monsieur." The googled one said and smiled now. "You should only have to worry about the one who decommissioned Morgana. This boy here. He is the one who would turn the fate of the World around."

"Wait.." Dayo sighed, walking forward, his hands pocketed now. "Are you asking us to trust the fate of the world to a demon?"

"More than that. I am saying there is  a way to trust the demon with the fate of the world. And it is simple. First of, Morgana is vengeful. And being that she is immune to our systems, once you freeze time, she would seek out the one who had hurt her. That is the boy. And then she would come for you, Monsieur. This is where we step in. To save the only trump card we have now, we have to send the boy back to the past."

"Preposterous!" Demas thundered.

"What nonsense!" Beatrice echoed.

"Wait, let hear him out." The other female mentioned, frowning slightly. Even though i don't get it too but lets hear him out."

"Chill!" the googled one said, raising his hand to the others in the room. "Morgana is immune to us, right. And as vengeful as she is, she would first seek out the boy. If we leave the boy here, there is the tendency that he would get time frozen too. But if we send him back in time, there is the great possibility that Morgana would follow him." The googled one said and pointed a finger to Demas.

"You once said, it takes time some time to solidify. Meaning we can change the current present if it remains frozen by sending the one person who can damage Morgana back. If Morgana clashes with him, then knowing that he can actually hurt her, it would work out for us."

"I don't get this." Dayo sighed.

"It is not meant for you. Monsieur understands what I mean. And that is enough, "The googled one said, scoffing.

"So what you are saying is that we gamble. The boy clashes with Morgana and destroys her. And in so doing, Morgana never ever destroyed the world, right?" Demas said, picking some strands of his with beards.

"Exactly!" The googled one replied.

"You are asking me trust the fate of the whole world into the hands of a boy demon? I hope you know what you are saying." Demas said, frowning now.

"I know. It might take a toll on you. And it is a heck of a gamble. But if we do it this way, then we let out checkpoints in the past that would guide this boy into learning who he is, guiding him to our fates, the present which would be frozen, then we win." The googled one said.

"I know. it is a gamble. Stupid enough but as long as Morgana is out there, we would never know peace. I'll do it." Demas said.

He closed his eyes and sighed. "First things first, I would disperse all of you into the past to set as many checkpoints as you can set which would guide our young hero. And then, we would get set on freezing the whole timeline. I just hopes this works."

"Activate!" Demas chanted as temporal bubbles sloshed out over each and every person, erasing them from where they stood.

In a second later, everyone appeared back, standing as if they never left. Demas coughed out now, recoiling from the toll of doing that. Beatrice tried to rush to him but just as she did, Demas raised a hand at hand, signaling for her to stop.

He smiled, flicking his fingers on the left and in response the body of Lekan began to erase out of reality.  Once it was done, he stood up straighter and smiled brighter.

"This might be the last time you see me, but System Holders, the future is now in the hands of the demon. May the good Lord forgive us. TIME FREEZE!" Demas chanted, swaying his hands out with a burst of ethereal energy.
