Chapter 8

Lucian and Synder, as usual, they gathered at their favorite spot. In a departure from their usual conversation, Synder decided to inquire about his trance. Random facts regarding what had happened suddenly filled Lucian consciousness, as if to answer Synder inquiry.

"As a result, I recall being hit by a truck. After that, I reincarnated into another universe, wondering what I was doing there and, if I hadn't died in the accident, what was I doing here? This is not my hometown."

The waiter interrupted them, asking what they wanted to eat, while Lucian was distracted.

Synder quickly gave them their customary order.

"We were taught to hunt wild creatures in order to save our planet and the entire universe. This is something I've been meaning to tell you. I'm tired of this existence; while it's interesting here, it's tedious for someone like me who used to live in a planet where I hunted mighty animals and fought wars."

Having lost interest in Everything that was happening, Synder concentrate on Lucian as he continued to speak.

When he was in coma, Synder told Lucian about a news report about this universe and how no one took it seriously and later it was regarded as a fairytale.

He told Lucian about how he kept records of the news station in his projection TV and that he would later get a lot of news on his lookout from time to time and stored them, but that despite searching for a long time, he couldn't find anything useful because the news on TV was just about random things on earth that didn't interest him or have anything to do with his research on the universe.

He had given up for a long time because he couldn't receive any really fascinating research news. "I wish I could keep the lead on dragon slayer," Synder said aloud.

"Come again?" Lucian urged Synder.

"The last news reported how the guardian defeating a dragon, but such reports have been prohibited since then." Synder replied.

"In this world, we were known as The Guardians and this was my last contact." Lucian interrupt Synder.

"As we marched, a faint sound of heavy metal filled my ears, putting pressure on my heart. We crept closer to the monster, step by step, over a hard and strewn floor, in the dark, and it was as if I wasn't part of the squad because they were highly prepared for the job.

The closer we got to the beast, the louder its breathing became, which terrified me.

Regardless, the Guardians kept their hearts steady, enduring the agony until it eventually appeared in front of us. The show of horror in itself was a gigantic sleeping black dragon."

"The monster had sharp, hideous fangs concealed behind a fissure in its broad lips as it panted loudly, horns that poked out from its forehead, and barely visible talons beneath its gigantic body."

"Bring out your tearing chains, the three of you; we're going to bind it and hold it down so the beast has an easy death. the leader of the Guardian said" Lucian continued

“ but, what I struggled to embrace the thought that we would be confronted with this monster straight away." Lucian coughs and sips his drink.

" Hold your breath right there. "With a stern command, the commander shut me down.

With no other questions asked, the remainder of the squad brought out the shackles, understanding the commander's decision. The Commander and other Guardians once kept the dragon in place. I stood there quietly watching as the guardians stretched out and around the dragon, each clutching their chains with long hooks. I, on the other hand, strengthened my grasp on the sword in my hand and inhaled in and out heavily, knowing that it was now my chance to act."

"While my hands remained gripped on my weapon, waiting for the right moment, a magical spell was cast on my blade. The monster, on the other hand, could not let go of the guardians' grip. Due to its struggle against the hooks, it was insufficiently hurt, and its pride was destroyed."

"Take the spell off. The commander screamed angrily at me".

"So afraid of the monster, I closed my eyes

I could hear them saying in my head "The dragon's strength has been reduced."

"Young lord, do it. Deliver the killer blow," while pinning the creature to the ground, the guardians yelled.

"I ran forward slowly, heeding their signals, and when I approached the obstruction, I heavily swiveled down at the dragon's head.

The speeding silhouette reflected in the dragon's eyes before my sword impacted its skull."

""rooooooooooarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr"the dragon screams As it felt a splitting ache on its skull, the massive beast reflexively retreated its head, its talons scraping on the torn earth, leaving an extended claw mark.

I swiftly moved my blade again, this time with courage I aimed at the creature's long neck, because I was aware that my goal had not yet been achieved. The dragon's eyes glittered gaily with ruthlessness as I approached. Various bolts of thunder erupted from beneath its scales and spread in all directions.

The unexpected eruption against a togged wall behind him flung me backward. When the dragon noticed that the impediment that had debilitated it had vanished, I screamed with delight."

"It pounced back at me after violently stamping on the ground. I felt a strong sense of danger when I caught a glimpse of the ferocious creature as it moved closer to me. When it arrived , the dragon extended its jaws and gobbled at my head. I crept beneath its gut, avoiding the creature's mew as I came within a hair's breadth of touching his flesh. Its chest collided with the top of my head. I pointed the sword I was wielding at the creature's heart, which I assumed was the creature's heart."

"“goooooo.” When a blade wrapped in purple lightning punctured the dragon's chest from the guardian's commander, it let forth a horrifying howl. It erupted in blood, which splattered all over my face.

"That must have taken a toll on its body; I could feel the creature's strength ebbing away, and it appeared as if it was about to collapse.

Just as I was about to breathe a sigh of relief and declare victory, the beast let out a maniacal scream, and I felt something run through my abdomen."

"I couldn't help but shriek horribly as I felt the anguish. Before everything went black, I had a fleeting glimpse of a dragon nail puncturing my abdomen. The creature's massive body slams into my body. When I opened my eyes, I was in a hospital in this world."

Lucian told Synder about his adventures in this mysterious planet and expressed his desire to return because mankind are unprepared for what lies ahead, this is the only way humanity can be rescued.

Just as they were about to leave, they were drawn to a bit of especially interesting news.

"This is breaking news. Humans are still sleeping on what is about to happen, according to this revelation from the dark universe. "Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha The auto-tuned voice began to speak.

"This is the news I just told you about."

Synder, on the other hand, focused his attention on Lucian.

"Hasn't this channel been banned?" While attempting to change the channel, the waiter yelled angrily.

"They always hack all stations to broadcast,. You won't be able to change the channel because it usually don't work. Just leave it and hear the news." From behind, yelled one of the customers.

As the channel switched back to the previous show, it took them a minute to send their message. Lucian and Synder decided it would be wiser to return home and continue their research.

Lucian, like Synder, calls out for the waiter to clear the bill. They went straight to Synder's house.

Immediately they got to Synder's house. They began researching the events that transpired while Lucian was in a coma three years ago in the hopes of uncovering any clues as to the reason for a way to go back. Synder turned on the news station's recent records on his projection TV, and slews of news appeared on his screen from time to time, but despite storing for a long time, they couldn't find anything useful; the news usually take a minute speaking in cryptic language and other news was just about random things on Earth, which didn't interest them or have anything to do with their research.

Just as they kept checking thoroughly not to miss any lead. Lucian heard of foot steps approaching.

"Someone is here," he said quietly as he came closer to Synder, making a hush gesture Lucian dashed out quietly without making a sound.

The invader approach Lucian m with his hands raised in submission.

"This is what you've been looking for," he said, pointing a flash drive at him. "It contains research on the dark universe."

"Who are you?" Lucian asked the invader

"My name is John Columbus , and I'm a scientist who studied the dark universe. I overheard your chat in the restaurant and followed you here to show you the research done in the hopes that it might be useful. The door was open when I got here. Apologies for my manners."

Synder did not bother as much as Lucian was and excitedly collected the flash and plugged it in to see what they could discover.

"This is breaking news, The dark universe is viewed differently by different people . While most assumed it was a fairy tale, our team dug deeper and discovered a mysterious dimensional space crack that appeared in space seven years ago"

"because scientists have researched and proven that there is a vast world behind the dimensional space crack, which led to a world that looks identical to the one described in the dark web." The scientist paused it to explain to the two.

The program was abruptly cut off by Lucian

"Can you tell me about the space crack?" says Lucian.

"I'm attempting to figure out what the dimensional space crack is all about." The scientist inquired

He double-checked the publishing date of the report. "I need to figure out when the dimensional space crack occurred, which was 7 years and three months ago."

After tracing the time, the scientist finally found the report on the dimensional space crack, his eyes widened in surprise at what he saw.

"Doesn't that appear like a portal to another world? Doesn't that look like a space gate?"

Lucian contemplating the footage, which showed a crack in space, clamored in doubt.

Anyone who has seen the video has spotted a fuzzy pentagonal boundary over the space crack. However, no one on Earth considered this limit as significant since they were unaware of its significance, except for Lucian .This view reminded Lucian of one of the most important items that had to be guarded at all times in his previous world.

A space gate that separated two-dimensional universes.

"However, why did they claim that there is a planet inside the space dimensional gap that looks just like the dreamscape Dark web universe"

"I'm hoping this isn't the case, but may be the construction of dark web have something to do with this gap in the space gate?" Lucian asked rhetorically

"Otherwise, and I hope this isn't what I'm thinking, this world is about to face a threat that could lead to its extinction. Perhaps this phenomenon has something to do with why I'm here, and that explains why I'm here.". Lucian continued talking with himself

"Could recollections of the black universe have been the source of everything?" Maybe it's to prepare me for what's to come."

Lucian continued his brainstorming session in order to figure out what was going on. He was unable to come up with a coherent conclusion in the end. The more he pondered, the more puzzles he came across.

They searched meticulously, events after events, but came up empty-handed; they later relented because it was already dark.

They decided on a time to meet and continue their investigation.

Lucian returned home to find Grandma waiting as usual. He consoled her explaining that he had being in Synder's place. His eyes were absolutely burning from his prolonged period glance at the television as he drew to his bed with a fatigued visage.

"Beep," "Beep," "Beep," "Beep," "Beep," "Beep," "Beep," "Beep," "Beep," "Beep

A beeping sound irritated his ears, causing him to squirm to his angle, as if he were talking on a phone that vibrates...

He softly picked up the phone, and a familiar voice rang out. "I've got some really crucial news for you, " The scientist didn't waste any time in getting to the point.

"Is it good or bad news?" Lucian squinted his brows, by the unexpected announcement as he recognizes the voice as the scientist's.

"Well, I'm not sure if you'll take it as good or terrible news, but I can't tell you over the phone because we have to meet tomorrow face to face."

"Catch me very early tomorrow at Synder's house," Lucian stressed. When he dropped the phone, he took a deep breath and relaxed.

He chose his textiles and went to bed.

Lucian dialed Synder's number right away.

"Hello , "

"Are you sure you're calling the right number?" Synder replied.

"Why do you believe this? I'm out of ideas, buddy."

"I'm not sure why you called me so late after such a long day. You must have something. Spill it, buddy."

"Ok....OK.. The scientist has just informed me that he has something crucial for us."

"OK, come as early as you possibly can. Let's get to the bottom of this ".. Synder exclaimed happily as he hung up the phone.

Lucian noticed that in addition to the scientist's forthright manner, he also possesses another attribute known as succinctness, which was evident throughout the initial stages of their investigation. If he indicated that it was significant, then it most certainly is significant.
