Treated Like a Slave

Knock! Knock! Knock!

Alexander went to Quella and Kenneth's room early in the morning to check on his daughter and make sure that Kenneth hadn't had sex with Quella the night before.

Alexander knocked on the door several times, but no one answered. Alexander finally decided to smash the room's door open.

Kenneth woke up when the door opened loudly and made a lot of noise. As soon as he saw Alexander's face, he got to his feet. Even though Quella was still sleeping in her bed,

Alexander said, "I've been calling for a while, so why didn't you answer, huh?"

"I'm sorry, sir, but it looks like I overslept because I’m exhausted," Kenneth said.

"Exhausted? What did you do last night that wore you out? Did you—"

"Oh, no, sir. I didn't do anything last night because I was too tired. Maybe it's because I've slept on the streets before."

"But you didn't sleep next to Quella last night, did you?"

"Sir, you knows I sleep on the floor because you just saw it."

Since Alexander didn't say anything, it looked like Kenneth wasn't lying. Alexander looked at Quella, but she was still sleeping. Alexander asked again, "Why does Quella's face have so many streaks?"

"Master, I don't know either. She was already in that state when I met her.”

When Alexander told Kenneth about Quella, Quella always did some crazy things when he met new people. Based on Kenneth's answer, Alexander could guess that Quella was up to his old tricks again.

Alexander went to where Quella was sleeping. "My dear daughter, let's get up first. Morning has come. Let's have breakfast together, "said Alexander.

Quella didn't want to open her eyes, so she just moved around a little. Every morning, Alexander tried to get Quella to leave the room, but Quella always stayed. Alexander could only sigh when he saw Quella's mood that morning. Suddenly, he looked at his daughter's feet, which were sticking out from under the blanket. Alexander pulled back the blanket so he could see Quella's feet. He was shocked to see that they were wrapped in bandages.

“Why are Quella's legs like that, Kenneth? What did you do to my daughter? Did you hurt her?" Alexander grabbed Kenneth by the collar and threw him against the wall as soon as he saw what was going on. Alexander's eyes were red, and the gentle side of his face was gone.

"N-n-no, sir, I didn't do anything,” said Kenneth.

"Then why are Quella's legs like that, huh?"

Kenneth said, "That's because Quella stepped on a piece of broken glass by accident. Last night, as soon as I walked into the room, Quella attacked me, sir. She also lost her mind and shattered the glass on the table. But Quella just stepped on the piece of broken glass by accident." Kenneth told Alexander the truth about what had happened the night before.

Alexander let go of the hold he had on Kenneth's neck. "Come with me! I want to talk to you about something,” he said.

Kenneth went out of the room with Alexander. Quella opened her eyes when they both came out. She had already heard Alexander and Kenneth talking. Quella didn't understand why Alexander was being so mean to Kenneth. According to Quella, Alexander was always nice to the men he met. This also made Quella wonder even more about who Kenneth was. Who exactly is that man?

At the same time, Alexander and Kenneth were already sitting next to each other.

"You've seen how sick my daughter is, right? I hope you don't say how Quella is to anyone. You can't tell anyone what you saw in this house. I won't think twice about killing you."

Kenneth felt his jaw tighten. He didn't understand why Alexander was acting more and more randomly toward him. At first, it seemed like Alexander needed Kenneth's help, but now he was acting more and more randomly. Kenneth never asked Quella to marry him, but Alexander asked Kenneth to marry him.

“Why don't you talk? What's on your mind?" asked Alexander.

"There are many things about you that I don't understand, sir. Why did you ask me to marry your daughter if you think I could hurt your family?" Kenneth spoke up.

Alexander got mad when Kenneth asked him a question. “You have no right to ask me that! You have no right to talk to me that way. You have to do what I say since I paid you a lot of money. You have no right to fight with me at all!" Alexander got angry.

Kenneth's eyes burned again when he was made to feel like a fool. But he couldn't fight Alexander because he didn't have enough power at the time. In the end, what Alexander said was true, and he did pay a very high price for Kenneth. Kenneth shouldn't have to make so many objections or arguments.

"One more thing, Kenneth, I told you I would still pay you even if you couldn't heal my daughter, but that doesn't mean you can mess around with this job. You must keep doing a good job. I hope that Quella gets better.”

"Fine, sir. I'll do it,” said Kenneth.

When the talk was over, Kenneth went back to the room. He saw that Quella was still on the bed, just like she was when Kenneth left the room earlier. Kenneth opened the window curtains because it was morning so that light could come in.

"Who told you to open the curtains?" yelled Quella in a way that caught Kenneth off guard.

"Oh, sorry, Quella. I just wanted to open the window so that this room could get some fresh air. The morning sun is also good for your health. "

"This is my room, and you can't do anything in it without my permission. Close the blinds once more!” snapped Quella again.

Kenneth had to shut the curtains once more. “Oh, yeah, Quella, don't you want to wash your face? If your feet hurt and you can't go to the bathroom, I'll help you wash your face," said Kenneth again.

"I told you, you couldn't tell me what to do. Do you understand? "

When she was yelled at like that, Kenneth could only gulp. He nodded and went to clean himself in the bathroom. Kenneth still had the guts to tell Quella off after he took a bath and changed his clothes. “Do you want breakfast, Quella? Let's have breakfast together," he asked. But Quella didn't answer either. Kenneth finally left the room on his own and went to the dinner table.

"Madames and monsieurs, good morning!" Alexander and Sherly were having breakfast when Kenneth came over to greet them.

Sherly gave Kenneth a snide glance. "What do you want to do here?"

"I want breakfast," He said.

Sherly gave a cynical smile right away. “Do you think I'll let you sit with me at the table? Don't count on it! We're paying for you because you're a bum, so you don't deserve to eat with us. Go to the kitchen and eat with the other servants if you want to eat.”

Kenneth was shocked because he didn't think he'd be treated like a slave in that house. If Alexander and Sherly really are going to treat Kenneth like a slave, they shouldn't marry their daughter.
