I finally ordered the system to create / deduce a new sword art for me.

One by one the system continuously promoted new notifications in front of my eyes.

The estimated time is 71 hours and if I include a few more days for training to get up to atleast a rank 1 swordsman then it will take about a week in total.

The first event was coming soon and it was a big event that I had to participate in at all cost.

One of the strongest swords the world would ever see is there.

[ Dainsleif ]

The legendary sword of King Högni, one of Norse's great heroes. The name means 'Dain's legacy' in Old Norse and was crafted by the renowned dwarf Dain. Dain ingrained magic into Dáinsleif, so when it is drawn it can not be sheathed again until it has killed someone, not something you would idly want to show off at feasts.

The magic also means that you don't have to be a skilled swordsman to wield Dáinsleif, as it is impossible for the sword to not hit its intended target.

Once it does strike, even the smallest cut will prove fatal, inflicting wounds that will never heal. Basically, it's best to never go up against the swordsman while he has Dáinsleif by his side.

The swords and Artifacts are divided into 9 ranks according to the level of power they hold.

The 9 ranks were 

Common -> Uncommon -> Rare - > Unique -> Epic -> Mythical -> Legendary -> Demi God -> God.

There wasn't any Demi - god and God level weapons and Artifacts discovered yet.

Those rankings were only assumed for the weapons used by Gods in different Mythologies. Like In Norse mythology, Gungnir is the spear of the god Odin, but they never found its whereabouts.

Although such weapons are still yet to be discovered but they are assumed to be of God level ones.

The top 10 most powerful weapons and Artifacts in the world are all legendary grade items.

The sword [ Dáinsleif ] that I wanted was a sword of higher than legendary grade but still lower than Demi- God in terms of ranking.

It was hidden in a special place, and the entrance to that place was sealed since ancient times, but the seal will finally be broken 8 days later when a monster tide would attack the boundary of a certain city. 

The sword itself would only be found out a few years later by a group of Slayers, but the exact location and the process those Slayers went through to obtain that sword was made public by them, so the Regressor also had them in his memories.

 It was a place where I will also finally get my first and one of the most important chess piece.

" Sylvia Oxford " 

A future SS rank 9 star Archmage, but she was still just an 18 year old girl at this moment who might have just got awakened a few days ago and who would have her slayer ID made only on the day before the Academy's entrance exam.

She was a pure hearted and maybe the most kindest person in this Dog-eat-dog world, but the harsh times and cruel reality even made her a cold and ruthless Archmage. 

I could still go to her and make her my slave forcefully,  but getting her through that way, I would never ever be able to make her loyal to me.

She was one of the people who were very close to the real me in the regressors' memories, she and I were best friends and she was also the only one who searched for my whereabouts everywhere for years after I went missing.

As far as I understood her character from the future memories of the Regressor, Sylvia was someone who knows how to pay back her grudges and debts. 

Although Sylvia would definitely become my slave if I forcefully tried to do it, but she will also become a hidden danger who will not hesitate to bring me down with her in future.

Even if she knew that opposing my orders as a slave would instantly kill her but she would still risk it all, she would become a venomous snake besides me who would keep watching me, looking for the opportunity to bite, and when she will finally get it, she would not hesitate to bring me down with her.

A good plan and acting was necessary to get her. I had to make it seem like I was making a sacrifice for her and make her indebted to me, make a situation so that she would come to me on her own accord and submit herself to me by her own will, only then I would be able to open up a path where I could truly conquer her in future.

And I already had a plan for it.

The only reason for which, an innocent girl like her walked on the thorn filled path of a Slayer, her mother.

I myself had a mother and really didn't want to use her mother in any of my plans but knowing about the future I know that I cannot become soft.

I had to be ruthless or I will never survive in this cruel world and its not like I was going to kill her mother.

 NO, it was complete opposite, I will actually save her mother, but I have to make her condition as worse as possible before that.

If I do not intervene in the incident and help her, then her mother is supposed to die 4 months later. 

The grief stricken girl who became a slayer and entered the Academy just so she could heal her mother, would be devastated because of her death and would later stand back up on her feet with a goal to become the best Wizard in the world and help everyone in need.

Only to realize that the reality was not as black and white as she imagined it to be and the world was a much crueler place. The people she thought would help her will become the one to drag her down because of jealousy and their selfish desires.

She will come to realize that Monsters were not only outside the borders in the wilderness but were also inside it in the cities, the humans who were more of a monsters than the real monsters outside were much more dangerous.

That would be the beginning of her path as the ruthless Archmage she was later known for.

But all this was unnecessary, She was still a potential SS rank and I know where she would get her 9 star magic arts from. 

I also know about the weapons she used, and where to get them. 

So, there was no need for her to suffer to become strong, and I would very much prefer the innocenct girl rather than a ruthless Archmage, though I would still show her the true face of the society but I will not allow that to affect her negatively.

An Evil Mastermind needs someone pure and kind hearted by his side as the world is maintained by a balance, and harmony is required in everything, or everything would crumble down eventually.

The event was going to be a very dangerous situation for any slayer that is E rank or lower and even I would have trouble there.

A monster tide wasn't something to be taken lightly and I had to also go to that place where the sword was hidden. So I had to be 100% sure of success before going, 

I had to be atleast a 1star Rank D- swordsman to gaurantee success in my endeavour. 

1 star professionals are all same but a 1 star who learns from a 3  or 4 star arts will be completely obliterated by a person by the same 1 star professional who practices from a 8 or 9 star art in a 1 v 1 match.

The same was actually applicable to every rank but the difference between same ranks becomes less and less as we move up in ranks.

Three days went by in a poof !  and finally my new sword art was about to get completed.

" System show me the remaining time left for the sword art "

Only 42 seconds were left and I was itching to get my hands on my new sword art. 

I picked up a common grade sword that I usually use for practice and went straight towards the training ground that was built inside the house.

" The Regressor was really rich "

 I smiled, and as soon as I reached the training ground the system prompted in my mind.

" Yes, do it " I said in an excited tone as the sword art came out even better than I expected.

I immediately said in an impatient manner: "System, transfer the sword art to my brain and name it as  [ Formless lightning style ] "

The System duly carried out my orders and brought large amounts of images depicting the sword art back to my mind.

After a few minutes of transfer, I gently rubbed my head.

 "I feel a little giddy, but this is a normal occurrence!"

Right now my brain was filled with large amounts of memories about the sword art and the many matching sequences of practised experience.

 Compared to an average person I did not have to go through the process of learning it through a book, although the higher rank arts are only passed down through the word of mouth or through medium that becomes useless after a one time information transfer.

This was another reason that there were so few high ranking arts because they were not present in a hard copy and were too hard to steal.
