The Wedding

A Tall muscular man stood in front of an abandoned house,

He looked at the building like he had been here before and he flashed back to five years ago.

It was Thanksgiving night and his extended family gathered in their background celebrating together because they haven't gathered together like this for a long time, His parents and all twenty of his relatives were present,everybody was there. The smiles on everybody's faces and the joy of family. They were all dancing and singing but he was watching from his room window.The night of joy was suddenly erased away when unknown gunmen evaded the backyard massacring every single one of his families.He hid and watched crying and fearing for his life. It was a bloodbath in his backyard and when they killed every single one of them they left. Their house was located in the woods so nobody could save them. Salvador waited for almost an hour before going outside,He tried to revive at least one of them but everyone of them was dead even the little ones, Salvador took off running he had no idea where he was going but he was panicking and kept running,He hid in the woods till dawn, That's when he saw her she didn't run away from him even with the bloody stains in his hands and clothes,She offered him bread and water and even money,She wanted to help him but her dad called out.

Suddenly his phone beeped. It was his assistant.

" Don't call me if you haven't found her … He said.

" I have found the girl from three years ago, But I have bad news..

" What is the bad news ???? His eyes widened.

" Her legs are badly injured

" What do you mean ??? The countenance of his face changed.

" She is now crippled,The assistant broke the news with fear in his voice even if he wasn't there with him.

This man was Salvador Peters.

Five years ago his family was attacked by thugs on Thanksgiving night every single one of them was killed in the gun massacre,He managed to run out and he saw a girl in an ally she offered him food and water and even money,She also showed him the next station but while he left he heard gunshots.

Instead of the station Salvador entered a ship cruise and that was how he met his adopted father,The chief of army. He ended up in Arab where he became a soldier and raised to the rank of a dragon general.

Salvador was a man of great virtue in the army and a man who was greatly feared.After gaining riches and power Salvador has resigned and come back to his home town to avenge his family's massacre and repay the girl who saved him but this news his assistant gave him was heartbreaking.

" Tell me everything you know about her.

" Elena Norman is currently in her late twenties.Her family owns an Auto repair shop for machineries but the truth is there is nothing much about her except how she got crippled.

" How did she get crippled???

" General it is believed that she was a victim of an accident but I figured it was a planned one,Elena is a woman with good morals so when her boss tried to have her in bed she slapped him,Few days later while she was leaving work she had an accident but unknown to everyone that her brakes were tampered with…

" Who did it ????

" Mr Brett Peters,He wanted his revenge for what she did and since then he has been torn in her flesh.

" What do you know about this Peters, Salvador clenched his fist.

" He is a first class citizen, He is also a member of one of the great five in the country's and that means he is a man of power,He owns firms and companies.He also has bad records but the police cover them all up because of his status.

" Walk me down what happened to Elena after the accident.

" Elena worked as a web designer in his company, According to employees he had a thing for Elena but she had a boyfriend then so she didn't agree to sleep with him,He deceived her to his hotel room and tried to have his way with her but she slapped him and pushed him away, Like I told you he revenged her by plotting the accident,She is still healing from the injury but she hasn't been able to walk since then. Elena lost her job and even the man she was dating abandoned her. According to neighbours Elena doesn't leave her family house but yet this Peters guy was still not satisfied with what he did to her,The Assistant narrated.

" What information do you have about my family's killers?

" Now this will amaze you, Your father had a big share in a government's property..That would have made him a billionaire but the five powerful families,The Lucas,The Lyons,The Calamades,The Burgess and The Peters….

" Peters, as in the one that is responsible for Elena's incident, Salvador sat up.

" Yes sir,They all planned your family assassination.. They are all responsible

" I owe Elena for what she has done for me and I owe my family revenge for what the five families did to them. I want all of them to beg for mercy either alive or dead... Salvador said entering his Porsche truck with the licence plate The Dragon General.

" Mr Brett didn't stop there,'' The assistant said while driving.

" What else did he do????

" He is planning a wedding for Elena !!

" He wants to marry her ????

" That would have been slightly better,He is hosting a party for Slaves,Beggars and even Homeless fellas,He wants to pick a groom for her.

" What !!!!! Doesn't she have a family???

" Her family are second class citizens and they also owe two of the great five families debt so they don't dare try to stop him and he has a case with them,He is claiming she planned to assault him.

" What a beast, Where is the party????

" The Eco Villa….

" Reverse the car…..We are going to the party…

The Eco Villa.

Elena was in her wheelchair in a corner,She was crying and wailing when she saw the people at the party ground,All sorts of beggars, Homeless fellas and even Slaves. Brett was really determined to deal with her. She thought to herself maybe she would have just slept with him and all this shame and disgrace would have been far away from her family.

" Are you taking a look at your future partner???? Huh !!! Have you found one ???? Brett mocked.

" Please sir !!!! Please!!! Please!!! I beg you,I am in too much pain..

" Ohhhh Elena you should have just done as I asked, Maybe all of this even your injury wouldn't have happened!!! Haven't you ever thought of that????

" Brett.... Please I beg you,I did absolutely nothing to deceive this, Elena pleaded.

" Oh no no !!! You disrespected me, Elena you made a fool out of me, You cheap thing.. Brett screamed.

" I just didn't want to sleep with you,Is that all I did to wrong ???? Elena wept.

" That's all you did and it was a slap to my face..My pride,How dare you??? who do you think you are??? if you had agreed to my wish the sky would have been your limit by now, You would have been my mistress... Brett said touching her hair.

" Over my dead body.... Elena frowned.

" You clearly would have been dead by now. Brett snickered.

" What do you mean????

" You will be married today... That's what you should he excited about today, Brett giggled.

Salvador had one thing in mind and it was to help Elena she didn't deserve anything that happened to her,If she hadn't helped him he would have died of hunger or thirst or maybe the men would have caught up with him, If he didn't run away with the money she gave him,He had to save her she was the reason for his existence.

Salvador entered the Eco Villa but the gate men wouldn't let his driver pass the entrance.

"You guys don't know who is with me in this car, Just do good for yourself and let us in…

" You don't look like a beggar or any of the five families,So who are you???

" The Dragon General... You look like you watch the news...So you must have heard of me... Salvador frowned.

" He looks angry,One of the guards whispered.

" I suspect he is a member of one of the five families. Let him in..The other said and they opened the gate.

Salvador was wearing a black hat and his assistant was behind him. Immediately he saw Elena he knew she was the one, Though she looked pale and shabby he could never forget her face.

Brett stood in the middle and mocked at Elena laughing and mocking Elena..

" Little Miss Elena you are going to marry a beggar tonight, How does that sound??? He burst into laughter.

Elena kept her head down and wept quietly,Bee's family quarreled with her because if only she slept with him none of this would have happened.

Elena was now desperate,No one was on her side and nobody could help her.She wondered what fault was in her star and why she was being treated like she wasn't a human being. She wondered what she did wrong. She just refused to be molested and abused. What she did was wrong,She took one last glance at the beggars and she burst into tears.

" Let her go , Salvador walked into the lobby and said, drawing everybody's attention, even Elena.

Elena took a deep breath,She felt as though she was safe.. Her eyes met with Salvador and she took a deep breath.
