Chapter 9

General Dallas took a glance at his wristwatch on a mansion near Galaxy hall. It's 9:56 Pm.

He wore his mask and wore his gloves, because it remains four minutes for the party to end. He then set the gun ready as the people were walking out of the hall.

Not long, Detective Jack and Henry came out with Mr. Drummond and his guards.

Dallas target Mr. Drummond's head, remembering how "Eye and Blood group" tied up his family and set the house on fire.

He then let out two shot. Bullets flied. One went into Mr. Drummond's head while the other bullet went into Henry's head. Blood splashed down, making the crowd scattered in chaos.

Jack glanced up to see where the bullet came from. He saw a man in a mask who was controlling a drone to fly the gun away.

Jack bring out a pistol, and ran into the mansion, hurrying to the top. Dallas was already climbing the mansion down before Jack reached up.

When Jack saw him climbing a window down, he started shooting. Dallas dodges all the bullets, except one which went into his shoulder.

Once Dallas reached down, a speeding car stopped beside him.

"Hurry," Christian said as he opened the door.

As soon as Dallas entered, Christian speed the car off.

"No!" Jack screamed in pain on the mansion. He can't believe his father had died.

Many police officers surrounded everywhere as the ambulance carried the corpses of Mr. Drummond and Henry away.

Detective Helen stormed out of the car and hurried to meet Jack, who was sobbing silently. Detective Helen was a smart in taking criminals down.

But there was something about Helen which she didn't even know. She didn't know that Mr. and Mrs. Stone weren't her parents.

And she didn't know that Dallas was her brother.

Even Dallas didn't know that her sister was still alive.

When Helen was five years old, her head hit the ground when she was playing with her friends in the school. She went into a coma and lost her memories.

Mrs. Stone, her teacher, was with her in the hospital on the same night "the Eye and the Blood group" killed her family.

Mrs. Stone was happy that Helen couldn't remember anything, not even her family. She then accepts to be her mother.

Dallas didn't know that Helen wasn't in the burning house that night, because his parents didn't inform him that Helen was in the hospital. They don't want to hurt his feeling, for Dallas loves her sister so much.

And the last thing Helen didn't know about herself was that her real name wasn't Helen. Her real name was Cinderella, but Mrs. Stone changed it to Helen.

After an hour, Christian was driving Dallas through the quiet street, not quite knowing where he was heading to, although he want to be sure that they had escaped.

"I told you to stay with your wife," Dallas said to Christian

"You're bleeding sir," Christian said

Dallas smiled. "I'm not bleeding. Am happy."

Christian smiled, too. He remembers Dallas often called bleeding his happy moments. He also remembers back then when they were in the battle and Dallas said, "what's death? I don't know and want to know. Happy I am."

Dallas took out a knife and removed the bullet from his shoulder. He binds the wound and pours a medicine which Christian gave him on it.

"Stop here," Dallas said

Christian slammed on the brake, and Dallas hurried out, walking into the darkness.

Rosalie was looking for Dallas in the Galaxy hall. She had been dialing his phone number, but Dallas had switched his phone off, which makes Rosalie feel uneasy.

"Maybe he had died, too," the Old Mrs. Jones said, "let's go home now."

"No, I will wait for him. He will come back to me," Rosalie said.

"From heaven? We're not saved here." Granny entered her limousine.

"I'm glad nothing happened to CEO Blake and his family. Michael and his stupid wife don't love me. They left me as if I'm nothing. Come into the car," Granny added.

The granny's guards forced Rosalie into the car, and the driver drove off.

When Rosalie when sobbing in granny's house, her phone rang. It was MY HAPPINESS!

"Dallas, where are you?" Rosalie shouted.

"I chased the murderer, but can't catch him," Dallas said

"What!"

"I know I'm weak, but I just want everyone to be saved, especially you."

Rosalie sighed and wipe off the tears which rolled to her nose. "You scared me."

"I'm sorry, baby. I would soon reach there."

"Alright, can't wait to see your face," Rosalie said, smiling.

Rosalie jumps on the couch in happiness.

"What's wrong with you?" Granny said from the stairs.

"Dallas is alive."

"Well, that was bad news. He doesn't love you. How could he leave you in battle and then claim that he still loves you?"

"He doesn't leave me, he went after the criminal," Rosalie said

The old Mrs. Jones bursts into laughter. "So hilarious. Anyway, take the car key on the table. That was the key to the car I promised you. Don't come late to work tomorrow. It would be better if your husband can be your driver."

Granny's phone rang. She accepted the call.

"Who am I speaking to?" she asked.

"Detective Helen, I called to know if all Jones’ family was saved."

"Oh, dear. I appreciate your concern. Everyone is saved, but I don't know if the one that chased the criminal away was saved."

"Who?"

"That poor Rosalie’s husband," granny laughed. "It would be good if you help me find him."

"Alright, madam, we're still on the street. Please inform everyone to stay at home for this midnight."

"Okay." Granny hangs up the call and looks at Rosalie, who was looking at her with critical eyes.

Granny laughed once more and said, "Why are you looking at me like that? I'm trying to save our hero. The criminal might have killed everyone if Dallas didn't chase him away. Anyway, I won't call your parents to stay at home. They don't care about me, and I won't care about them. You are the only girl I cared about now."

The old Mrs. Jones went to her room laughing. She can't believe Dallas can chase the criminal when everyone was running for their lives. Even those who are stronger than him ran away.

How could the weakened Dallas catch the criminal when the smart Detective Jack can't catch him? The old Mrs. Jones asked herself in her room, laughing more.

How stunning and miraculous would it sound for granny to know that Dallas was the criminal?
