Chapter 4

Louis was at the Tinlinn Physiotherapy Center, where he has been going for three years to get treatment for his broken leg. Henry, the owner of the studio, had a skull tattoo on his arm and was tall and bald.

“Henry, I have a friend who came to your store today, this person is a valued customer.”

Louis thought of one person, seriously speaking to Henry. He looked at his phone and realized that nobody had called him for three years, but…

Henry thought Louis was joking, “Valued customer? Don't mess with me. Are you talking about the Frank family? Do you know any other big bosses?"

“No, not the Franks. This person is a boss from K.H city.”

Louis had just finished talking when a middle-aged man walked into the physiotherapy center.

He was wearing a formal suit and had silver hair. Henry's eyes were drawn to the man's wrist, where he saw a Patek Philippe watch that cost 5.86 million dollars.

Henry was surprised and knew that the watch was authentic. What shocked him even more was that the watch had been out of production for seven years, making it a rare and valuable item. He also recognized that the person wearing the watch must be from the upper class.

“Welcome…” Henry said.

He felt a sense of fear when he looked at the middle-aged man.

He still remembered the time when he was involved with a gang. He had seen the same watch once before, worn by a notorious tycoon in the province. The memory of that day made him uneasy and intimidated by the man standing in front of him now.

“Henry, this is my friend.” Louis calmly said.

“Friend?”

Henry was taken aback by Louis's words. The middle-aged man who entered the center didn't even look at Henry and kept his eyes fixed on Louis.

"Louis, you finally came to ask me for money. I'm thrilled," the man said as he sat down across from Louis.

Henry couldn't believe what he was hearing. "Money? Louis, what do you need the money for?" he asked in surprise.

Henry was worried that Louis might take out a loan with high interest rates and end up in a difficult financial situation. He didn't want that for his friend.

"It's not much, just 10 million dollars," Louis replied nonchalantly.

The man, whose name was Edsel, took off his clothes like any other regular customer at the physiotherapy center. It was hard to imagine that this successful businessman was over thirty years old and had the body of someone in their twenties. Henry noticed a large scar on Edsel's chest.

"10 million dollars? Louis, are you out of your mind?" Henry exclaimed, shocked at the amount of money Louis was asking for.

"I'm not joking," Louis insisted, laughing. "T.D Investment Group is coming to this province. Henry, have you heard about it?"

"T.D Group? Of course, I have," Henry replied, looking puzzled.

He knew that T.D Group was one of the largest real estate companies in the country. Whenever they went to develop an area, it would become bustling and vibrant within a year. Countless new grocery stores, movie theaters, shopping malls, and properties under T.D. would pop up everywhere.

"That man over there, his name's Edsel. He's my friend and also the general manager of the Northern region of T.D," Louis explained, gesturing towards the middle-aged man sitting across from them.

Edsel announced his purpose for coming to the province, stating, "Louis will be in charge of managing T.D company's branch in this province, and he has full authority to make decisions. The 10 million dollars is the salary paid by T.D Corporation to Louis, which is just a little token of appreciation." He then turned towards Louis and asked, "Louis, are you sure you want to cooperate with us? After all, you are a member of the Mary family, and T.D Corporation is the real estate competitor of Mary's."

"Mary's? I cut ties with them three years ago when they kicked me out. From that moment, I was like a dog without a home to go back to," Louis replied coolly, "Don't worry about that issue. One day, I will make Mary's suffer for what they did to me." he added, his face taking on a cold and ruthless expression.

He seemed like a completely different person - talented and powerful.

"Happy cooperation," Edsel said, smiling as he shook hands with Louis. He then took off his Patek Philippe watch and handed it over to Louis, saying, "You can have this watch. It signifies my authority in T.D group. With this watch, you have the power to make any decision you want, and everyone in the T.D group will listen to you."
