Chapter 31: A Deliberate Situation

"Answer my question quickly! Why did you let Julietta get arrested again?" scolded Granny Smith emotionally because Robert did not answer her question.

Robert was choked to silence when he heard Granny Smith's voice getting higher as she spoke to him. Then he hurriedly said, "I tried to block their attempts to capture Julietta, but my strength was far inferior to theirs."

Robert paused to take a breath, then continued, "They were heavily armed while I was empty-handed, so with great difficulty, I escaped without Julietta as much as possible."

"Even though I received warning shots, I kept running away from their pursuit. Fortunately, it was raining at the time, making their pursuit of me more difficult."

Robert paused again to catch his breath which had started to get short, which made Granny Smith's patience run out. With her cane, she tried to hit Robert but was prevented by Dylan.
