Chapter 81
Ayla’s POV “Mom, are you really going to just keep me on a mute level? I expected you to shout my head off and blame me for this but you are not even saying a thing. Are you not even going to ask me how I got such injury? The silent treatment is worse than pushing of blames.” I cried out to her, I was tired of her mute attitude. When I first arrived, he helped me arrange, warmed the water for my bath and even helped with the re-banding of my head injury, yet she didn’t complain about the state I had returned home, neither did she complain about how I kept on crying without a stop. Even now, she wasn’t saying anything, despite the fact that I voiced my feelings. I knew what she was waiting for, she was my mother and one thing I knew she liked was admitting my wrongs. She was not going to say a thing to me if I didn’t admit that I had been wrong about Michael and his good intentions. I crawled up to her, and rested my head on her knee. “I am sorry, mother and I was wrong about Micha

Pablo’s POV “Look up Gunner; we have a raid to take on, meet me at my place in five minutes.” “Is it another suicidal mission?” “How dare you question my orders? I say you get ready and get your ass over here with a group of more competent men.” I hung up. My jaw clenched together in annoyance, anger raving through me. How dare they take Kathie, now Scott was gone and there was no one else? My called Smith’s number, yes, he needed to witness this war and fight in it to have me his father. “Get your arms and ammunitions ready and come over to my place. Bring Lennar and Jake over with you, on my orders. Be here in two minutes, we have a raid to make.” I barked my orders at him and hung up immediately to avoid his rants of disapproval. I picked my guns and ammunitions, ready than ever to have their head. This might just be a part two of the last war, but this time, I will have them dead for good.Michael’s POV It was all clear now, the sign at the cathedral and even the cathedral

Chapter 83
Ayla's POV "That's my baby. Ayla hunny, you can talk to me now. I am all ears." My mother whispered softly into my ears, her arms still wrapped around my petite figure. I looked up at her, relaxing my chin on her shoulder. "I just found out how gullible I was, waiting for Michael to grow in love with me and risking it all just for him. Even my life." I softly whispered to her. "What made you finally see it? As I noticed, you loved him too much to care, what changed your feelings?" "Nothing. My feelings have not changed, just my mindset, but they will soon enough." "What exactly happened now?" "I had gone a very risky mission for Michael to fix cameras around a woman's house so we could watch her. I had no idea what he needed it for or why he needed to watch her but I never asked questions. I fixed the cameras and ended up with this head injury." "Oh hunny, I am so sorry about that." She dragged me closer and rubbed my cheek, pulling my head back to her chest. "Go on, explain i

Michael’s POV It was time to go home. Torrance had not replied my last message, and I didn’t have all day to spend waiting for him. I drove back home making plans on how I would go about my resignation after submitting the case files on Monday. Tomorrow is the beginning of the weekend and I plan to enjoy that well, relaxing by the pool’s side for countless hours before retiring for a nap, after which I will settle to map out my plan to take down Pablo. It had not been easy the whole of this week. The week had seemed as lengthy as a month. I parked my car and got exhausted and weak, my joints were calling for a warm bath and unending hours on my bed. My mind walked faster than my legs to my room, was Ayla still there? Waiting for my arrival? That would be ultimate sweetness. Maybe I can even ct drunk and make out with her. No, I shook my head vigorously to push out the thought. I just began the most important part of my mission; getting involved with her would be a totally bad idea.

Chapter 85
Michael’s POV I was mapping out our plan for a successful victory. We need to infiltrate the Mafian cycle to conquer this battle once and for all. Scott was Pablo’s consigliere, who was more like his underboss as Smith was nothing to write home about. He had not contributed to the first Viking/Mafian war and he has certainly not helped in the course of Pablo’s reign. Pablo was soon to resign from his position but Smith was less of a Mafia boss material. Hence to cut down Pablo’s wings of authority, Scott was the first target, he needed to be done away with in order to over throne Pablo from his well known game. Donovan had said something about hitting Pablo where it would hurt already. Was Scott the part that would hurt? If so, then it was a smart decision. Scott would need to be taken down first in order to win this fight, as Scott’s absence (death) would make Pablo limp in a foot. Pablo ran a Mafian household that was not necessarily connected by blood or marriage. Scott was not

Chapter 86
Michael’s POV The weekend ran fast with couple plates of lovely dishes, hours beside my pool and some few minutes of going through my set out plan, and then I was soon turning my tie to the rhythm of work blues. I was going to have a splendid time at work, packing my few personal belongings from my office back to my home, there wasn’t much there anyway. A day to resign officially; Miss Sarah was bound to ask me the reason for such sudden decision and I had not made up my mind on what to tell her. I whistled a tune to match my mood as I tightened the tie around my neck. I put on my suit and bent to pick my shoes from its rack. I noticed a paper under the bed; it was crumpled and as I pulled up the folded parts I saw that it was dirty and a little soft where it had gone damp. I read the content; it was a quick sketch of my findings from the beginning of the search on the Viking’s case right up until now. Had I squeezed it like this? Even if I did, I would not have thrown under the bed

Chapter 87
Michael’s POV I knew something was off. I felt it all the way to her house and at her mother’s words I began to panic but I tried as much as I could to swallow it and showed her a smile. "I really wanted to see her to clear some things up but it's fine, I will just come back later." I turned and left before she would make me say any other thing; I was worried that I might scare her, over something that might not even be true. I needed to see Donovan and Anurag to set out how we would protect our loved ones. Ayla mustn't suffer because of me. Pablo was too heartless to care about other people's life; he would gladly take their lives if they got in his way or tried to show authority, classic traits of a mafia boss. I drove to the cathedral and to my surprise; I met all the Viking brothers who had lived together in the Villa, along with their wives and children. They were really in danger, for them to have left their luxurious and comfortable home to an old cathedral with nothing val

Chapter 88
Ayla’s POV He was a lunatic. How could he even think of cutting off my limbs to send to my parents? I did not even want them getting involved in this because of my disobedience. “You cannot try it. Smith will not allow it.” I yelled at him, trying to conceal my emotions. He burst out in a maniac laugh, lolling his head back and forth continuously. “You are really feisty. I like that. But I’d like to see Smith try. Gunner, hit her up.” He stared at me and took a sip of his drink, then a long drag to take it down. The heavily built man that had kidnapped me earlier walked towards me, swinging a mallet as he closed the gap between us. I shook in fear, and almost peed on myself when a phone rang in a distance. It sounded so distinct as I could only hear Gunner’s footsteps approaching me. Suddenly, he paused and walked over to Pablo; “Torrance.” He simply said to Pablo, who collected the phone and answered the call. It was a video call.Pablo’s POV“Perfect timing, I was just about

Chapter 89
Pablo’s POV“Take him down, gunner!” I yelled. It was a raid, a bloody raid that I had not seen coming and it was not Torrance this time, the Vikings never worked like this. They were always to afraid to take a bold move, not to talk of a move as daring as this one.I could not wait for his response neither could I see him finish off the intruder, he would report himself to me. I shielded myself out, the intruder had used a Sub machine Gun and while his attacks were not directed at a particular target, he just shot as much as he could, all round.I passed through the back door, using the stair way that led to an empty underground garage. I got into my car and drove back home. On my way out, I saw the bodies of my soldiers lying outside the warehouse. The intruder had killed them all silently and it had happened during the call. They plan to take Kathie, get their friend and keep me on the losing end. This was not the work of the Vikings, they definitely had a greater help else, they w

Chapter 90
Ayla's POV He seriously only thought about himself and he even had the guts to admit it so blatantly. I hate him so much, so fucking much. What does he take me for anyway? Keeping me in the dark is going to keep me safe, total bullshit. Pablo will still come for me, I have heard of his numerous killing escapades and he is definitely not going to let me be if he realizes I am still alive. There's only one way to it; though two actually I choose the one that helps me show Michael just how ruthless I can be. He thinks I am just a little girl that he can toss around well he will just have to see, the hard way, that I can survive in the wild. "Ayla, there you are. Michael came looking for you...What happened?" My mother ranted off, immediately I walked in I stomped off from her presence and shut the door to my room. "I am going to show you Michael, that I can do just what you are doing." I vented out my anger, tossing some needed clothes and accessories into my bag. I arranged a boot
