Michael’s POV

It was time to go home. Torrance had not replied my last message, and I didn’t have all day to spend waiting for him. I drove back home making plans on how I would go about my resignation after submitting the case files on Monday. Tomorrow is the beginning of the weekend and I plan to enjoy that well, relaxing by the pool’s side for countless hours before retiring for a nap, after which I will settle to map out my plan to take down Pablo. It had not been easy the whole of this week. The week had seemed as lengthy as a month.

I parked my car and got exhausted and weak, my joints were calling for a warm bath and unending hours on my bed. My mind walked faster than my legs to my room, was Ayla still there? Waiting for my arrival? That would be ultimate sweetness. Maybe I can even ct drunk and make out with her.

No, I shook my head vigorously to push out the thought. I just began the most important part of my mission; getting involved with her would be a totally bad idea.
