The Top Student
Henry finally received his acceptance letter from the academy. He had gotten in through Mr. Dawson’s recommendation. The school would never have accepted him even if he paid the entrance f*e. They had never seen an E-rank mage before, and they would have rejected him immediately to protect the academy’s reputation. With Mr. Dawson’s recommendation, however, the school did not know his true rank. They believed he was a top-class mage from the Bloom region. In reality, he was an E-rank mage, which was exactly what Henry wanted. He did not want to reveal his true power until he reached S-rank level. According to the system, he could expose his class whenever he wanted, but it was advisable to do so only when he had reached a much higher level. Henry agreed with that plan. He stepped out of the house and faced his family one last time. “I am leaving.” It had taken him a while to convince them that he was only an ordinary E-rank mage. They only believed him after he repeated it many ti
The world Weakest Mage
Everybody was shocked to hear her words. At first, they thought she was joking, but they quickly turned their attention to Henry. “She is telling the truth!” Someone shouted in disbelief. Others quickly confirmed Henry’s rank by checking his wrist device, and the result clearly displayed E-rank. “He is an E-rank mage!” Another voice pointed at Henry. The hall erupted into laughter. They couldn’t believe an E-rank mage was among them. The lowest they had ever seen was C-rank. There were rumors of D-rank awakenings, but those individuals were rarely seen. Now, those rumors seemed true. But an E-rank mage? That was unheard of. What could someone like that even contribute to mage society? It was practically suicide. Mr. Liam could not believe his ears. Everyone on the stage was equally stunned, but they assumed there must be an error with the class detection device. There was no way someone’s rank could be E. It was unheard of. Even D-rank mages were rare, let alone E-rank. Mr. Liam
The Trash Is Where You Belong
Helen laughed silently. She found his words amusing. In her mind, he was clearly just a messenger for whoever was supposed to stay here. There was no way an E-rank mage would be granted access to a special apartment. “I will call security if you don’t explain why you are here.” She folded her arms across her chest, visibly irritated by the poor-looking boy. Henry could sense her arrogant attitude. She was clearly looking down on him, but he didn’t take it personally. He hadn’t expected to share an apartment with such a beautiful girl. She must be scared, which explained her behavior. “I got in through a special recommendation. Don’t worry about your privacy. I won’t interfere with your space.” Henry walked toward the second room, which was locked. He assumed she must have taken the first one. As he passed, Helen stepped in front of him, blocking his path. She couldn’t believe how foolish he was. “You think I would fall for such an excuse? You are an E-rank mage. Trash belongs w
Surprised!
Henry did not expect her character to be this vile. She acted like she was above everyone else, like a goddess. Meanwhile, she was only a mere B-rank water mage. What was so special about her? Henry felt a surge of anger. He needed to discipline her so this behavior would not repeat itself. The men marched toward him. He would have preferred to end this quickly with Blink Strike, but he couldn’t use it again unless he wanted to be useless for the rest of the day. “Quickstep.” The skill doubled Henry’s movement speed. The first man rushed in with a heavy strike, but Henry easily sidestepped it, leaving the man fully exposed. Henry raised his leg and slammed it into his back. The man collapsed instantly. Quickstep didn’t just boost his speed, it also enhanced his strength. His strike was noticeably more powerful than before. Two more men blocked his path. They attempted to tackle him to the ground, but Henry leapt over them and landed smoothly behind them. Before they could turn ar
Unlucky
Henry was shocked when the system message appeared. The moment he saw his opponent, he was certain. The boy standing across from him was the same height as Peter. There was no doubt about it, this was Peter from the academy. He wondered why Peter was here, especially when his attitude had always seemed to say, “This place is not for weaklings.” As he stepped closer, Henry recalled Peter’s situation. It seemed his family was poor, just like his own, and Peter was carrying their burden alone. Henry felt a hint of pity, but he could not afford to lose this fight. He needed to win to advance to the next stage. Even if he did not need the money, there was no way Peter would reach the final round. Peter was only a C-rank earth mage, level 3. Henry wondered how he had even reached level 3. With his family’s condition, there was no way they could afford a level booster. And from what Henry knew, Peter had not fought any monsters. The spectators shouted. “Begin!” Henry decided to end it
Too Easy
Everyone followed Calvin’s gesture, curious to see who he had chosen. Their expressions twisted in disappointment and mockery the moment they saw him. It was that same “scumbag” from yesterday. Finally, he would be humiliated for believing he could coexist with people like them. What a fool, thinking he could survive the academy’s pressure. Now that the rules had changed, he would barely last a week before he ran away. Henry did not even bother to confirm if he was the one being called out. He stepped forward with a calm, confident smile. How could someone take his title from him? He had to show them what a true master of physical skills looked like. Jaxon was stunned when he saw who Calvin had picked. He walked up to Henry and raised his wristwatch. He could not believe there was an E-rank mage in the academy. He had never even seen one before. How was this possible? “Is this some kind of joke? Do you know this can get you into trouble? How dare you tamper with your wristwatch
Not Enough
Jaxon’s eyes widened as he saw Calvin completely lose control. He had to stop that attack before it reached Henry. The impact could be disastrous. He dashed forward, trying to reach them in time, but his eyes widened even further when he saw Henry catch Calvin’s fist. Calvin was stunned. He could not believe this weakling had stopped his attack barehanded, without even flinching. He had used the same technique on a C-rank mage before, and that opponent had needed immediate healing. Yet this time, even with an upgraded version of the attack, it had not left a single scratch on an E-rank mage. His body trembled slightly. Who exactly is this guy? Jaxon quickly separated their hands and pushed Calvin back. “What were you thinking? Do you want to kill him?” Calvin frowned. He wanted to respond, but reality settled in. He had just lost to Henry. That meant he would have to fulfill the bet. How could he call this bastard master? Calvin pointed at Henry furiously. “You cheated! You
Runaway
Henry's eyebrows pushed down a little, he knows those bullies were responsible for this, and he must teach them a lesson for inviting him. Peter must've left when Calvin picked him, Henry looks around, he was thinking of a way to escape without getting noticed, he knows Mr. Jaxon wouldn't give him any timeout, and everybody eyes was focused on him, including the principal, who seems to be frozen.Henry wanted to say something when the bell sounded, indicating the session was over.He didn't wait for Mr. Jaxon final words, he moved to the exit immediately, but somebody holds his hands. Henry looks at her with bloodshot eyes, and she let go of him quickly. She looks innocent, but he didn't want to hear her words, she probably wants to trash talk about the fight. He arrived at the location given to him, it was an old building abandoned by the academy, and it was separated from the rest building.“Look who showed up”The guy Henry brought down the last time, chest forward to Henry.Peter
Show Everyone Your Skills
Henry noticed Aiden barely manage to hold his fire burst attack, he knows he will need a much more powerful attack, and that needs to be a mega skill. The surrounding suddenly change and the air was dense. Aiden's legs was starting to shake, he could feel the overwhelming aura coming out of Henry, he believed he was dreaming, but the feeling was too real to be a dream. How can an E rank mage possess such an aura.Aiden was speechless, he knew whatever attack Henry was planning to launch, he won't be able to counter it. what should he do, he must think quickly, or this bastard will bring him to the ground.Henry wanted to launch the attack when somebody shouted.“Over here, the fight is happening here”Some students in the academy appeared in the scene, more than twenty of them, they were holding their smartphones hoping to get a record of the fight. They received a message from an anonymous sender that there was going to be a fight here, that is why they came hoping to spectate on th
System Decoding Rank
Jaxon was dumbfounded, Henry not only displayed an upgraded version of the fireball, he was able to use the skill at level four. He couldn't explain what he was seeing.Henry was surrounded with fireballs, that was twice the size of the original one, and the intensity it created was far superior to the fireball. Helen couldn't believe her eyes, she tries to comprehend Henry's powers, but she came up with nothing. What is this.Henry smirked and snapped his fingers.“Combine”The four flames combined into a bigger flame that was five times the size Austin created, but nobody dare to clap or make any sound. The flame disappeared after some seconds, Henry faced master Jaxon.“Have you seen it”Jaxon managed to get hold of himself, he doesn't have any explanation to Henry attack. Henry attack was almost at the same level with Austin. Austin is a B rank mage, his magic is supposed to be stronger, how come an E rank mage matches his level.“Well done Henry. That should be the maximum an E
