Juliana hissed at woman, nose mask up, bumped her shoulder.“I'm sorry..I'm sorry..” The woman apologized quickly, adjusting her mask properly and hurriedly walked away. She tilted her head down like she was avoiding her gaze, but Juliana had pictured her face as her mask shifted. She felt a pang of jealousy and envy seeing how beautiful the woman was and she couldn't fight back the shade of jealousy that masked her face. She straightened, staring at her retreating figure till she was turned a corner.“Why is she covering her face when she's looks that beautiful? I will....“Hi, Please have you seen someone who looks like this. She's missing. My Boss's sister.” Juliana's attention was beaconed by a manly and guffy voice. She turned to see a man in black suit displaying a phone to her face.“How May I..." She paused when she saw the photo on the screen. Her eyes glinted with quick familiarity.“You mean this particular person?" Her finger snapp

With Isadora snuggled in his arms, Kane rushed into a MaxCare hospital.“Nurse!! Doctor!!" He shouted, his voice drawing the attention of medical staff and even patients who were slumbering jolted awake.Nurses rushed out with a gurney but Kane kicked it aside. “Where is the fucking VIP emergency ward!!” He barked.Nurses scrambled, doctors stumbled out of the comfort.“You have to follow the hospital protoc—”“Fuck your protocol!!" Kane cut one doctor off angrily and arrogantly.“Straight! Straight, Sir!!!" A nurse answered quickly, sprinting in the direction. Kane trailed her.Isadora had collapsed after rescuing her from the warehouse. She was laid on a bed in the emergency VIP ward, her eyes shut. An IV had been connected to her body, streaming fluid into her system. Kane didn't step out from the ward. He stood still, hands crossed over his chest, his face carrying the heavy weight of concern. He watched as a doctor was cleaning her bloodied face and attending to her injury.
A SHELTER IN THE STORM
Ward 005 was quiet, the soft beeping of the heart monitor filled the air, beeping continuously. Kane sat on a chair near Isadora's bed, watching her slumber on the bed, his right elbow pressed on his knee while his chin rested on his fist. Concern etched over his face. Isadora's eyes twitched before it flickered open. Kane stood instantly, his face brightening with a sweet smile. Isadora winced in pain, her eyes heavy and tired. “Kane..” She called, her voice quieter and exhausted. “W—Where I'm I?" Her voice trembled slightly. Kane gently sat on the bed edges and held her hand, his smile warm. “That doesn't matter, Isadora. What matter is that you're safe now.” He said quietly, tightening her hand affectionately. Isadora stared at him, the scene at the Warehouse, streaming into her mind. Tears slipped from the corner of her eye to her cheek. Kane's smile faltered. He adjusted closer to her with worries and confusion mixing into a mask on his face. “What's the matter, Dora? Hav
SHIELD AND SEARCH
Isadora nodded lightly, a gentle smile cutting on her lips, her heart over the fence as Kane's soothing words swelled her heart. Isadora didn't need to pair her head to read the stars— Kane was trying to protect her— a knight in shining armour. Kane walked out of the room and called on one maid. “Have pudding prepared, and a bowl of chicken. Right away. Make it nice.” He instructed quickly. “Yes, Sir.” The maid nodded and walked out to carry out the task. Kane let out a soft sigh. He pulled out his phone and tapped on it. He'd once seen an app where people order for masseurs— zeel. He quickly downloaded the app and explored it, looking for a good female masseur. His finger hovered the screen when he saw an average Chinese woman, Mei ling— A licenced massage therapist, Seven years experience in therapeutic and relaxation massage. His lips curled gently. “I think I'll go for this.” He said intently, and input the number on his phone. After the phone rang for a few seconds, a fe
KANE ON TRAIL
“What's that?” Benjamin Finns asked, stepping back. The man, black gloved, held out a long bullet— pointed and seemingly deadly. Benjamin collected the bullet and observed it closely. Stone, his wingman stood beside him, gallant as a rock. Benjamin noticed the engraving on the copper bullet: 'EV 408 Cheytac' His eyes brightened, surprise and disbelief flashing. “Who we're up against is not an ordinary person.” He started thoughtfully, shaking the bullet gently. “This bullet is a custom-made, Cheytac M200 invention sniper. The deadliest inventions of snipers that can cover a maximum range over 2000m.” Benjamin looked around the warehouse. “The shooter is a groomed killer. A deadly one.” He said. Stone looked at the bullet. “But what business can the person have with the girl?” Benjamin dropped his hand to the side, his eyes thoughtful. His jaw tightened as he stated presumptuously. "I have a lot of enemies, and soon I'll eliminate them all.” He turned to Stone. “I want you to con

He arrived at the Everest Mansion with a duffel bag containing her massaging accessories. The security guard walked her into the living rooms where Kane just ended a call. He jammed the phone into his pants and turned to see the Twenty year old masseur. “Mia Feng?" He asked, lifting one brow. Mei nodded gently, her expression soft, her smile ear-reaching. "Yes, Sir. And you're Mr. Kane?" She responded with that same Beijing accent. Kane nodded gently with a light smile. "Yeah. Please follow me.” Kane led the way to Mia's room. They stepped into Isadora's room. She sprawled on the bed, resting on her side. She sat up when she heard the door squeaking, wincing slightly. Her eyes shifted between Kane, and then to the unknown woman, her confusion palpable. “Who's she?" She asked quietly, eyes Briefly shifting from Mei to her duffel bag. M
A SICK LOVER FROM THE PAST
As Isadora laid chest down on the bed after having a quick bath, chest pressing down on the bed, her breath slow, hands pressed to her side. Mei held a massage bottle and poured a Little quantity in her palm. She tilted her palm slightly, allowing the oil to slip down to her back, rolling down viscously along her spine. Mei moved professionally, her palm gently pressing over her bare back, each move precise and soft, oil hissing beneath and spreading even more. Isadora rocked gently, groaning softly as Mei touches spread over her back. Suddenly, Mei leaned closer, her warm breath grazing her air. “Let me tell you a story, Ma.” She started, her voice whisper low and passionate. Mei flinched slightly to the closeness. “What story?" She said nonetheless. Mei smiled widely, her eyes lost and filled with longing. “I once had a friend. Beautiful. Just the kind of woman I want in my life. We shared things together, but we never shared emotions. I was planning to tell her when I lost h
DANGER IN SILENCE
Kane hurriedly entered Isadora's room to see her standing, her eyes lost in the direction of the door. “Dora? What happened? The masseur. She's done?" Kane said quickly, walking to her. Isadora looked at him and nodded her head gently, her mood out of place— Crestfallen. “You don't look okay. Did she do something to you? ” Kane asked with concern in his voice. Isadora shook her head and said. "She did nothing. I'll use the restroom.” She said and walked away without another word. Kane stepped out of her room. He knew she was keeping something away from him, and he's going to find out whatever happened in the room. He walked out and asked the Security if Mei had left. "She nearly stepped over me, Master.” The security man responded. Kane nodded gently and walked into his room. He picked up his phone to put a call across to Mei to find out whatever happened when a notification popped on the screen. He clicked on it and a message from Mia displayed: “Stay off Isadora. She's not
