Chapter 61
CHAPTER SIXTY-ONEHudderson looked around him, attempting to get a grip on himself. Anger and pain rippled through his veins as he scoured the entire place. That was what looked like a forest with a damaged building in the middle of it. The only clear path was where they parked, and grass had already sprouted all over the place. “This was where you buried my mother?” Hudderson looked back at the men, his eyes glaring with so much annoyance.“I…” Eric stuttered, knowing that he was the one at the most fault. “I had no choice, Supreme Ruler.” He took a deep breath, but that was still not enough to grant him relief. “I had to bury her at once, and I couldn’t do it properly.” He realized that his explanation was only going to make things worse for him, so he decided not to say any other thing. Marcel on the other hand had realized that things were soon going to become chaotic for him.Even in his silence, he was still gripped by a rising tension, the kind that made his heart beat fa

CHAPTER SIXTY-TWO But it seemed that they had celebrated their victory too soon, forgetting who exactly they were dealing with. When they were stopped staring at each other and laughing victoriously, Marcel and Eric returned their gaze to the Supreme Ruler, only to see him standing outside the cage.Marcel gasped, his eyes bulging out of their sockets. “How?” He stuttered, taking two staggering steps backward.Eric on the other hand was getting ready to flee, knowing that they were going to suffer greatly for what they had done to Hudderson. At that moment, silence hovered in the air, but they could hear their heartbeats, plummeting deeper into their bellies. Hudderson growled at them, infuriated as he stared at his Mother’s grave. The cage that almost swallowed him had damaged some of the heaped sand on the grave, reshaping the already ugly sight of his mother’s resting place. “You just bid farewell to life.” He said, his voice low but imperative. Then he started walking towa

CHAPTER SIXTY-THREE Eric froze, his entire body submitting itself to the subjugation that sprouted from the Supreme Ruler. Marcel had waited for Eric to pull the trigger, but a minute was passed, and he was yet to hear the sound of a gunshot. “What the hell are you waiting for?!” He groaned, attempting to get on his knees. But the pain was too much, forcing him back to the ground. “Shoot him, you fool! Shoot him!” He pointed at Eric, but when his subordinate seemed to have lost his entire courage, he collapsed back to the ground, panting heavily.“I am surrounded by idiots!” He groaned, blowing hot air from his mouth and nostrils. Eric remained the way he was, iced by terror. His eyes couldn’t close, but his lids kept on flickering like they were attempting to fan him back to life.Hudderson grabbed the gun from him, and even though he knew that he was no longer holding his gun, his hands were still up, held up in the air. Hudderson forced the muzzle into Eric’s mouth, causing

CHAPTER SIXTY-FOUR Eric wasn’t sure he had heard what the Supreme Ruler said, so he remained seated on the ground, hoping that it was something else that he had heard.Marcel on the other hand turned to him, shaking his head to plead with him not to do what he was asked to do. “Didn’t you hear me?” Hudderson was running out of patience, glaring at Eric with burning eyes. The middle-aged man had no choice. He picked up the spade, and with staggering steps, he walked up to the piled-up sand, holding the spade with a slippery grip.Marcel gasped when he saw that he was ready to cover him up. “Don’t do this, Eric! I am your Boss! I fucking made you who you are!” The reminder was not going to change anything, especially when the Supreme Ruler was standing right there. “Eric! Listen to me! I am your boss!” Marcel was still panting, especially when it seemed like Eric was preparing to start covering him up, seeing the anger in Hudderson’s eyes. “Fill up the grave. Start covering him up.

CHAPTER SIXTY-FIVE “Hello? Charlotte?” Hudderson called out, but the call ended at once.He tried to call back, but she was not taking her calls.Without wasting any time, he sped into the road, stepping on the accelerator. His body was covered with sweat as he drove through the busy road, maneuvering his way through the cars ahead of him. He tried calling again, but there was still no response. He intended to go to the company where Charlotte had gone to sign the deal, finding the easiest shortcut to drive through. Then his phone rang, and as soon as he saw it was Charlotte’s name on the screen, he answered the call, slowing the phone down. “Hello, Charlotte.” He waited for a while, but there was no response. “Can you hear me? Where are you?” “This is not your wife.” A low female voice resounded through the speakers of the phone. Hudderson listened for a while, but it didn’t seem like he knew who was speaking.“Who is this?” He asked, realizing that there was no familiarity i

CHAPTER SIXTY-SIX “Tell me,” Hudderson demanded anxiously, but it took a while before Jadon could break his silence.“The cameras, Supreme Ruler. We can track her through the cameras all over the streets. Our company has hi-tech that can help in this regard.”Hudderson nodded. “Let’s go then.” He pointed, and Jadon led the way back into the tall building. They arrived in one of the large rooms that looked like a control room with so many computers and devices all over the place.Jadon assembled all the software programmers available, and they set to work at once. Hudderson waited patiently, looking at all the screens of the computers in front of him.“Boss.” One of the young men in the room raised his hand, and Jadon hurried to him at once.“I think I found something.” The young man pointed to his screen, and Hudderson pulled closer while Jadon leaned closer to the screen.“This was before she was taken.” The man explained while everyone was staring at the screen. Hudderson growle

CHAPTER SIXTY-SEVEN Hudderson took a deep breath, and then he walked up to Thomson, grabbed him by the neck, and pinned him to the wall without minding that he was stark naked. The ladies were triggered by this, and they picked up what was left of their dignity, scrambling away amidst the whimpers that erupted from them. “What have I done, Sir?!” Thomson gasped for air, attempting to catch his breath. He didn’t bother to fight it, knowing that his efforts were going to be very futile. “Please! I beg you, Sir! I didn’t do anything! Those ladies mean nothing to me!” It was very hard for him to know what he was apologizing for, especially since Hudderson had refused to say even a word to him. He was gradually losing his breath, but Hudderson had no intention of killing him.He snarled at him, and with a low tone, he asked, “Where is my wife?” “Your wife?” Thomson retorted as though he had forgotten that his daughter had recently gotten married to Hudderson. “You mean Charlotte? CHAPTER SIXTY-EIGHT “Good.” Hudderson nodded while Thomson was still catching his breath.“You will be taking me to her. Stand up at once.” He ordered, forcing Thomson off the bed with his eyes. Thomson was reluctant when it seemed like a thought had suddenly crawled into his mind.“I just remembered something, Sir.” He raised his right hand with signs that he was begging for permission to speak. Then he cleared his throat. “Tasha is not home, Sir. She told me that she was leaving for Darnia today. She has some work to do that requires her to travel early this morning. I am sure she must have left since morning.”His voice had already lost its grip, indicating that he was not being honest. Hudderson looked at him with a cold expression, and then he cleared his throat. “Move.” He pointed, and Thomson hurried out of the room.As he sauntered cautiously along the hallway, he turned as many times as he could to look at Hudderson, afraid that he could hit him from behind. “I don’t th

CHAPTER SIXTY-NINEDan said nothing.Even though he couldn’t deny the fact that he was wary of Hudderson, he tried not to react the way he felt in order to protect his territory.“Who is this man, Mr. Thomson? And why does he want to know where Tasha is?” Thomson took a deep breath, and lifting his head slowly, he cleared his throat.“I think you should listen to him, son.” He said to his son-in-law, but the young man seemed to be very stubborn at that moment. He turned to Hudderson and looked at him with a little disdain in his eyes. “Why should I listen to him? Is he the police?” Dan scoffed, holding onto his baby tightly.“Even if he is the police, he doesn’t have the right to come here and just ask questions without having a warrant. I know my rights, and the rights of my wife.”Hudderson scoffed, and then he turned to Thomson. “I didn’t come here to waste my time, Thomson. Ask him to kindly tell me where his wife is.” Thomson nodded, his breath was still shaky. “Just listen to

CHAPTER SEVENTY Dan tried to catch the baby, but he slipped from his hand, and just when he was about to fall to the ground, Hudderson caught him, and then he handed him over to his grandfather. Thomson swallowed hard while he held onto the baby, his eyes sparking with anxiety. “Please. Don’t kill him.” He begged, knowing that Dan was going to suffer greatly in the hands of Hudderson. "I can’t make that promise.” Hudderson growled, and then he walked into the building, grabbing Dan who had fallen to the ground, bleeding from his nostrils. “What you are doing is wrong! Totally wrong!” Dan tried to escape from Hudderson’s grip, but he wasn’t fast enough.Hudderson pinned him to the wall, and looking him in the eyes, he asked, “Where is Tasha?!” His voice triggered panic inside Dan’s system, freezing his breath. “I…” Dan swallowed hard, his heart beating so fast that he thought he was going to collapse. That was when he understood what Thomson had been trying to tell him, but it w
