The cafeteria buzzed with the usual rhythm from students as they trooped in, in groups for dinner. Big Bite restaurant. The biggest cafeteria in the school, patronized only by the rich kids, per plate here costs more than Dominic's account balance. Yet, he was sitting inside a booth at the end, surprisingly dressed in a modest navy suit that he probably got from a thrift store yet it looks good on his body. His presence immediately made heads turn. He was known as the poorest guy in the school, a guy who juggled different odd jobs together just to survive the following day. But today was no laundry day, and neither was it an errand time. Dominic Mercer had planned a proposal for his girlfriend right in the restaurant. For four years, they'd been in a relationship that was kept secret as requested by Carol. She'd told him she disliked attention, and explained that anything kept hidden is usually meaningful at the end. Dominic was reasonable with her. Four years of silent lov

Laughter rippled through the room in waves. One student clutched his chest, another doubled over with laughter, another slammed the table, tears rolling down to his cheek out of sheer amusement, and Dominic stood at the centre of everything, the woman he'd loved for four years the orchestrator of the embarrassment following her rejection. "He borrowed old clothes to propose to the school's beauty." "Who does he think he is? Even filthy rags want a good thing." The mock Laughter doubled. Dominic's hand curled at the side, his blood boiling with anger. "Who the fuck do you say is flirting with my girl!" A deep arrogant voice cut through the room. The noises dipped. Heads wheeled towards the door. Alexander Ridge strode into the restaurant like he owned the entire campus. He wore a black leather jacket, a silver stud jangled on his neck, catching the light and throwing it into everyone's eyes aggressively. Alexander is apparently the school's richest guy. Girls swam him like be

The air rippled with laughter, then comments exploded in waves like Rosa had just broke an overwhelmed door of humiliation. "Poor rats dream big too." Someone laughed in jeers. "He thinks it's some kind of toy his kid brother rolls on the floor," One guy chipped in between taunting laughter. "That's fucking Royce.... Rolls." Dominic stood tall, his expression carved from stone as he stared down Rosa. "What the heck is your problem? Do I have business with you?" Rosa laughed, briefly glancing back at her friends at the back. They all burst in a wave of laughter that could make a man wonder if he's naked in the street. But Dominic stood, his head up, the air buzzing around him to bury him in their humiliation. But to him, they were all lousy flies, and soon they'll eat their shit up! "Business?" Rosa laughter rang sharply, witted enough to shatter glass. She tucked a stray strand of hair behind. "You think you're worthy of speaking to someone like me? Take a look at me—"

Rosa stumbled into his boyfriend's apartment, Connor, the guy most people on campus popularly call the H.H— Handsome hot. His striking features were Stark under the warm glow of the ambiance like a handsome god carved by Adonis himself, the god of handsomeness. Five feet nine tall, his skin flawless, glowing bronze under the light like his face was dipped in unadulterated honey overnight. He pampered his skin more than his balls, and once, he'd publicly assaulted a lecture who unintentionally tossed book to his face, saying it was an abuse to his sauve face. Squared shoulder, perfect abs that look like it could cut through glass. That's Connor Lumbard. He's the reason most girls turn their heads and lose their way, and why most guys get jealous. But Conner is a jerk who swaps women every week like clothes, dumping the first like trash and taking new ones that won't last two weeks. Cars and lavish lifestyles were his trade mark, but what everyone didn't know was that he's a le

Eva clicked out of her apartment. The moment the gentle morning breeze brushed her face, she walked into Mr. Pappu, her Indian landlord, short, round head like mosel. His bogus trouser looking too large for his plumpy body. Eva stopped, slightly taken about by his unexpected presence. Her eyes narrowed on him with a mix of curiosity and suspension. "Mr. Pappu," She toned, her voice tingling with curiosity. "To what do I owe this morning visit. My rent is not yet due." She said. Mr. Bobby nodded, his expression neutral. "Good thing you remember, Mahila," He said, his voice tingling with indian accent he was gradually loosing to the queen lingo. "I'm here for the electricity Bill. You know the rules...your boyfriend pays for it once it's the beginning of every month." Eva's Expression faltered slightly. She didn't know about that. It has been Dominic handling the electricity Bill and even her rent. He'd never disturbed her about anything, and she'd never asked how easy everything
