The Divorce
CHAPTER ONE"Here are the divorce papers. Sign them," Sandra's secretary put her authoritative voice to use on her boss's husband, letting some percentage of hatred show in her words. She had never understood her boss's obsession for him, especially when he wasn't as influential as other men and had not ever brought about any connections to her."What divorce papers?" David stared blankly first at the papers and then at his wife's secretary wondering if the breakfast he had been served in his cell room had made him lose some part of his hearing."What other divorce papers could there be?" The secretary gave a shout of impatience that however much she tried to conceal, refused to remain subdued. Her frequently suppressed hatred refused to still remain down despite the promise of a swift divorce that will put an end to her seeing his annoying face. She just could never like the guy.David kept a blank look on his face still, although his teeth were beginning to grit with the thought of
David's mission
CHAPTER TWO."Sandra, you have enough money to last for generations. What more could you be looking for? You're a successful CEO whose company makes a million dollars." David tried to reason with her, consciously diverting his words from sounding too desperate especially as her secretary was already shooting daggers at him."That's it. You never understand these things. Just sign them and name your price. I'm doing this out of the love we shared in the past," she said cooly, eyes piercing through his tears while still fighting to stop hers from betraying her strength and throwing her dignity to the grass. She definitely couldn't remain married to an ex-convict. It will spoil her name and the career she had struggled to build for years."I never thought our relationship could be measured by money," he broke down briefly, and sniffed hurriedly, fighting them embarrassingly. "I thought you loved me genuinely and shared the same affection I had for you." David still couldn't understand w
Another mission
CHAPTER THREE"David, your work has been duly recognized. You've served dutifully," the president began, tapping his fingers on the long glass table that separated David from him. "Your award is long overdue and ready to be received.”David, who had still not recovered from the disappointment, barely nodded and fell back in thought, half trying to understand the reason Sandra could do that to him, and the remaining half beating himself over and over again for falling in love with her. Then his thoughts went on to flow in the direction of self-pity before strengthening itself in revenge, a revenge he was ready to take years to execute."You'll be awarded a five star general," the president cut through his brooding, pleased with himself for being the awardee to such a perfect gentleman who had finished the mission one hundred percent. He grinned even wider at the thought of its cost effectiveness and even how best he had hid his mission from his wife for three whole years. "You're our
The annoying confrontation.
CHAPTER FOURBeing fully aware of the type of mission he was to carry out, he had to tread carefully. "Roseline, why don't you go in, while I attend to something pressing outside," his excuses began. He had known that Roseline had fancied him but he had been too occupied to entertain it much. But now that there was a chance, he now felt too unworthy to be with her. A billionaire in love with him? Certainly, people might want to connect him being a convict and try to tarnish her name. It didn't matter that he was on duty and no explanation from him could put things straight, or rather, there would have to be no explanation from his end as he had signed his confidentiality. So, things could get complicated and he wanted nothing of such, at least not too quickly."Why?" Roseline asked, her hands nicely placed in his. "No, I want us to walk in together. I want to get a chance to show you to everyone around me," bewilderment sang in her voice as she struggled to see things from his end."
The Shock
CHAPTER FIVE"Boss, I...""Will you shut the fuck up!!! You nitwit, how dare you keep my boyfriend waiting?" Her security guards took a stance by her side, as she stood in opposite directions to Sandra's mom and brother who were startled at the mention of “boyfriend”"And who are these?" She motioned her hands at them, disgustingly eyeing them with a sneer on her lips. Then sharply noticing David's torn dress, spoke gently to him. "How come?" She asked . “Who did this?” Her voice vibrated with rage as she looked from the torn shirt to the half piece left in Caleb's hands, putting two and two together.Caleb's mom instantly grew wary. She couldn't understand how David had managed to bag such a powerful connection with such a sophisticated lady that could command enough respect for five bouncers to hover around."Sorry ma, it was all a misunderstanding," she half-begged, sensing how deeply in trouble her son could be in. "Here is the pendant, David. I'm sorry for everything," she pulled
The twist
CHAPTER SIX.She allowed the cool evening air to heighten her excitement as she stepped out of the car, and the onlookers to watch happiness displaying beautifully on her cheeks with every step she took.It wasn't a small feat and no matter what anyone might say, her regret for leaving David was beginning to dissipate and get replaced by admiration for Dustan, her new magician.Would she have gotten to know the famous Roseline Denver if she had remained with David, a mere pauper? Of course she knew the answer. David was as useless as a dead cockroach, having no connections whatsoever to even his fellow roaches. While Dustan on the other hand, with just two weeks of meeting, was already opening doors for her without even lifting a finger, something she had been yearning for, for ages. Now was her time to shine and she calmly collected her lost emotions and fitted them into one place of joy. With the sweet thought of victory on her mind, she lifted her eyes to grace Dustan’s ethereal b
The Surprise
CHAPTER SEVEN“Have you gone mad?” She screamed at the top of her voice, the sound echoing in her skull and racing quick to the pit of her stomach as she stood from her former position on the floor to face the main perpetrator she should have dealt with from the beginning.“It has barely been twenty-four hours but you're here frolicking with another lady?” Her eyes flamed like a thousand mansions on fire and her nose breathed out the smoke from the flaming mansions tirelessly. She just couldn't bear to think with her right senses and bottle up the heart aches she felt deep in her chest. There just needed to be an outlet and she wasn't ready to close that outlet just yet.“How dare you, David? How dare you make love to another woman barely twenty-four hours after our divorce?” Her chest rose and fell like an elephant's stomach and her eyes reddened far darker than a healthy blood.“And how did you manage to sneak out of jail?” She added more, barely giving anyone time to recollect them
Chapter Eight
CHAPTER EIGHTDavid calmly watched the scenario with a surprising patience that he had never expected to gather. Maybe because it was an amusing thing to see and something new that had never occurred. The scenario watered down the humiliation he had suffered in his ex-in-law’s hands. Who could even think of such a situation.Imagine Sandra, the world's most classic, sophisticated and career-oriented woman, fighting barefooted for a man she had repeatedly called a pauper and whom she had divorced without an eye blink. It wasn't something that could happen even in his wildest imagination but here they were, watching her display her madness like an Oscar-award actress. It was indeed a ‘wonders shall never end scenario’. The more she acted out the more his heart jumped with more merry. How wonderful, things were playing out.“What do you mean ‘where?’” Dustan breathed heavily wondering for the umpteenth time if he had not chosen bad luck for himself, or a mentally unstable woman whose bra
The Punishment
CHAPTER NINE.“What?” She bellowed, losing all cool and respect she had accorded the predicament.it didn't matter that her speech could cause her company and even the soft criminal-free life she had planned for.“How could you…”“Kneel,” Roseline commanded too, eyes blazing like a flaming furnace and fist clenched hard like a rock. “That's one of the prices you'll have to pay for disrespecting me”.Sandra made to hesitate but Roseline would have it no more. She had taken far more than even Roseline could condone.Of course after the recent shenanigans, she was well aware who the mad lady who had hit her was and her connection to her David. The only issue that she had was that she wasn't given the time and space to show Sandra her own martial art.Too bad she had to use another card to win the argument. She made a mental note to resort to violence next time as she prepared to launch her privileged girl attack.“Security!!!” She screamed, punching a red camouflage button on her seat whi
The blow
CHAPTER TENDavid smiled to himself as Sandra's perfect oval face reddened with more embarrassment and her blue eyes turned purple with the merger of red.He had never imagined that vengeance could be handed to him so easily, barely a day since he had brutally been heartbroken and thrown into the bin like an unwanted cookie wrap.In fact, rather than feel anger, he felt very horny at having Sandra kneel beneath him. Her submission was something so arousing to him. She looked humble just as she usually looked in bed with her hair imperfect and blue eyes changing into a wild colour.Even with her flaws, it was difficult not to love every bit of her, not to yearn for his skin on her soft mushy body; on her voluminous standing breast that the only hard part was her pink nipple. He had always fallen all over in love with her and he still did.It was with the realization that he immediately rebranded his mind. How could he still be in love with a woman who has mercilessly thrown their relat
