Chapter 1
The Divorce
CHAPTER ONE
"Here are the divorce papers. Sign them," Sandra's secretary put her authoritative voice to use on her boss's husband, paving way for some percentage of hatred to show in her words. She had never understood her boss's obsession for him, especially when he wasn't as influential as other men and had not ever brought about any connections to her. "What divorce papers?" David stared blankly first at the papers and then at his wife's secretary. He wondered if the breakfast he had been served in his cell room had made him lose some part of his hearing. "What other divorce papers could there be?" The secretary gave a shout of impatience that however much she tried to conceal, refused to remain subdued. Her frequently suppressed hatred refused to still remain down despite the promise of a swift divorce that will put an end to her seeing his annoying face. She just could never like the guy. David kept a blank look on his face still. Although his teeth were beginning to grit with the thought of his wife's secretary being out of her mind, he still managed to keep his cool and let his anger just simmer below the surface. He couldn't even think of any proper explanation to explain her razz behaviour. "My boss wishes to divorce. Here are the papers," her hands rested unprofessionally on her waist as she also couldn't hide her impatience nor explain further. Noticing the wish for more information, she added grudgingly, wondering why it was taking him too long to comprehend such a simple and glaring fact. "You'll do everyone a favour if you just signed the papers and took the ten million dollars". "What are you talking about?" His face reddened, coupled with the confusion. Her words were took care to weave a fog into his brain. "Is that what Sandra asked you to do?" He felt as if he was about to lose his breath. The chaos going in his mind and heart was too much for him to control. So he shook his head and tried to send the thoughts away. "What I'm saying, in clear terms, is that my boss would love to cut ties with her prisoner husband to save her public name. It'll be best for everyone if the prisoner husband went on with everything just as planned," her voice cracked towards the end as the boiling rage inside of her choked her and stopped any hold of professionalism on her. "And if I refuse?" "If you refuse, you leave us with no choice but to force you. I'm sure you know how much possible that could be," she said, dragging the file closer to the seating David whose eyes had already begun to brim. But she still placed her hands irritably on her hips with a curse on her lips at his disgusting display of affection towards her boss. "Then I refuse," David retorted, his face contorting with rage; eyes squeezing a drop. "If Sandra won't say it before me, then I won't consent to it." Another dropped from his eyes despite his rage; the remaining, froze with determination as he tried to stare her down. But just as she was rehearsing another sharper hailstorm to pierce his mind, a tall, curvy lady with red hair and blue eyes, walked in. The air stiffened; feeling impenetrable and strict. She scanned the room carefully, taking care to take in soft breaths. David reacted to her velvety, shiny skin like an amateur man. She was a perfect ten over ten. Any man would want her, David included. He wanted and yearned for that smooth soft skin on his, and his hand on her round shaped but firm ass. An ass that was far larger than his arms. His eyes followed her movements unconsciously. He had fallen hard for her appearance. Whenever she walked past him, he always had a hard on and would have to look away for about five minutes to get over her presence. His attraction for her had gone quickly from lust to obsession and then to love where he even worshiped the floor she walked on and was always ready to do anything for her. To him, she was the only angel that he needed and no one else could ever take her place in his heart. So news like this, made his blood run cold. How could she think of divorcing him after just three years? After the love they had shared? "I'm certain you must have seen the papers by now," served as a greeting as she sat down, bright eyes searching for answers on his face and elegant hands placing her handbag nicely on the table, meaning business. Getting no reply, she smiled and picked up the file to open it. "Are you being serious, now?" Blood drained from his face as he struggled earnestly not to cry as he watched her deliberate act, pulling the document out of the envelope. "But we were happy together?" "Yes, until you fell into prison,” she replied bluntly, meeting his eyes. “I need to protect my name. I hope you're quite aware of that?" She borrowed her secretary's impatience to shield the simmering heartbreak in her heart that divided her heart into quadruplets and made her head heat up with a banging migraine. How could she remain with a convict? The rhetorical question flew away as soon as it landed. It didn't matter that she had once shared a bed with him and that no man had ever made her heart race that fast, nor blood flow so quickly during sex. He was a convict and she wouldn't. No, she couldn't and she was one hundred percent certain of that decision. She had done the right thing and there was no turning back. Of course she had loved him and still did and seeing him, even in the uniform, was the hottest human she had ever seen who still made her heart skip multiple beats. But she had vowed to let nothing come in-between her career and she.Expand

Married to my Ex-wife's boss Chapter Thirty-One
CHAPTER THIRTY-ONEDavid had only to close his eyes for gravity to let him crash to the floor. He noticed the whooshing sound heightening but almost did not get it when it vanished. But he could at least tell that the flapping had ended and that he had met his doom.He waited for a trumpet sound; something to signal his entry into heaven or even hell. There was none. He waited longer. Maybe there was some delay in transmission. An angel must have forgotten to place him where he's supposed to be.But there still was no trumpet, not even its equivalent in hell; bull's moo. There was nothing. His childhood memory of the church was feeling threatened by this long silence. Then he heard the sound, sounds, the panic around. The screams and manly breath heaving.Commands flew everywhere, banging his ear drums with the stress on the different objects of the sentence.“Get him this, get him—” the sound got muffled by a movement around him.Someone was trying to pull him up, or was the perso

Married to my Ex-wife's boss The Deed
CHAPTER THIRTY.“Your time is up,” Mr. Denver’s voice was barely above a whisper, laced with weakness that David doubted could show on his face.He swallowed hard. He could hear but could not see. But he didn't need to see to know who was speaking. He had seen him through the peephole. Common sense should have warned him of the strangeness of the visit. But he had smiled it off; glad to see him.He now wondered painfully, what about Mr. Denver's presence could ever cause him to smile?Bitterness swelled in his throat, spreading to his tongue. His chest compressed. He struggled to breath as the enormousness of his stupidity fell on him.He was the dumbest secret agent to ever live. He was for real, the worst. How could he have been so vulnerable? The thought sliced through him with embarrassment. He preferred his face covered. He didn't want to see any emotion play out on the man's face nor did he wish to be seen.“Didn't you hear me?” The voice rose. “I said, your time is up.” His

Married to my Ex-wife's boss Chapter Twenty-nine
CHAPTER TWENTY-NINERoseline pulled the covers. The black cover cloth served its purpose. It was the best part of the escapade. A cloth not as soft as the usual one worn but also not as hard and brittle as a bucket. It was the perfect in-between. The perfect one that could fit even a giant's head.Sandra's red hair sprawled out; scattered and disorganized. That perfect cloth had accommodated that mass of hair. Her head fell on her chest, weak, just like her rotational neck. It was bare; both her chest and her arms were bare.As to why she would still have a nightdress on when the time had been running to 10 AM, was a question Roseline didn't try to waste her time thinking of.She dwelled on more present things. The room was stuffy and there were cobwebs around. It might not have been perfect for a bedroom, but it actually wasn't small in size. It was enough for four abductees to fit in together with each of their killers. There was no ceiling, the cobwebs took its place. She had not
