Chapter 1: Return Of The Overlord
The night sky split open above the ocean. Waves rose and fell as if pulled by an unseen force. Lightning struck from above, tearing through the storm clouds. The city was growing empty as people scampered into their homes to escape the coming storm. The clouds held secrets—dark secrets that spoke only of danger. Shockwaves cracked the ground by the beach where a legion stood in wait. The entire Senate of Sunville, accompanied by the highest military generals of the country. All had gathered in anticipation of his arrival. The coming of the Overlord.A pillar of white light plunged from the heavens. From it stepped a man—no, something greater. He walked on the ocean as though it were solid stone. Each step left a burning print of fire atop the tide. His eyes glowed white—blinding, divine.Generals trembled. Senators bowed their heads. His presence pressed against their chests like the weight of another world. They all fell to their knees in unison.“Lord Dragon,” they chanted. “Your pr
Chapter 2: Open Wound
Demian stepped out of the storm and into the quiet warmth of a small late-night boutique. He moved like a man returning from a war only he understood. The Overlord’s aura was gone, masked beneath an ordinary man's grief. He wasn’t here as a conqueror. He was here as a husband.Demian picked out a bouquet of white roses—Marianne’s favorite. Then he chose a navy-blue suit, crisp and elegant. Something worthy of an apology.I should have never disappeared… even if it wasn’t my choice. He imagined her smile. Her tears. Her arms around him when she realized he was alive. He paid his bill in silence and stepped into the night. The street where he once lived looked unfamiliar. Children played in the yard.A new family stood on his porch, laughing as they decorated for the evening.Demian froze. My house…? It was the last property he had of his mother's.What happened here? He thought. His mother's house was no longer there. It had been reconstructed and another family was living in it.Befo
Chapter 3: Rock Breaker
“What have you done, you freak?” Hades growled, teeth grinding as though he were seconds from biting someone.“He beat me,” Martha cried instantly, voice trembling with practiced innocence. “I didn’t do anything to him. I only asked where he had been these past four years, and he snapped!”Demian stared at her. Even after everything that just happened, another lie. He should’ve expected it.“She’s lying,” he said, voice low, exhausted. “I didn’t touch her. I only stopped her from hitting me again and again.”He didn't mention her insulting the honour of his late mother.“You pushed me… YOU PUSHED ME!” she shrieked, finger shaking like she was about to accuse him of murder. Her friends yelled loudly, hands flying to their chests like they were auditioning for a cheap soap opera.“That’s assault!” “He’s violent!” “No wonder Marianne dumped him!”Demian’s throat tightened painfully.Dumped him. Four years gone, and that was all he was now—a rumor, a disgrace, a man who should’ve stayed d

Chapter 5: Villain Of Another Day
“Blasphemy!!!” a man shouted.“How dare you speak of the Overlord in such a tone?” Marco snorted, but Miranda's stance didn't waver.“I'll speak of him as I see fit. After all, he is just a man from Earth!” She snarled. “Finally!” A young man rose from the round table. His eyes scanned the room. He was tall, huge, and had a scar on his left cheek. His name was Memphis Zane. He used to be the commander of the military, and Miranda's betrothed until Demian's rise overshadowed him. Miranda chose Demian, and Memphis Zane lost in all. He never stopped plotting, hating, seeking for a chance, just one, to destroy Demian Kael. “Y'all have lost your balls. What do I expect from men who make decisions here only to go home and take orders from their wives?”“Sit down Memphis!” another man yelled at him, but he wasn't done.“It seems the daughter of our Supreme Leader has got a plan. I propose that we all hear her out. After all, it's a matter that concerns our future.” He looked at Miranda.
Chapter 6: UNDEAD
Hades’ fist slammed into Demian’s face again, and again, until a dull ache crawled up his knuckles. He hissed and shook his hand, staring at it in disbelief. “Damn it,” Hades muttered. “What the hell is wrong with you?”Demian lifted his head slowly. There was no blood. Not a scratch. His lips curved into a lazy, mocking smile, eyes bright with amusement despite the punishment raining on him moments ago.“Is that all?” Demian asked softly. “I thought you brought me here to suffer.”Hades didn't speak. He grinded his teeth, rage surging inside him, but something held him back from throwing another punch.By the corner, Quentin Rastro sat, 5 armed men surrounded him as he smoked his big cigarette carelessly. His expression darkened and he stepped forward. The toe of his polished boot nudged at Demian’s knee. “You’re a tough one, huh?” Quentin asked.Demian snorted. Quentin turned to Hades. “You punch like a fucking child! Beat him properly. I want to see blood. I want to see him beg.
Chapter 7: Payback Time
Her gaze lingered, on his body—his abs. She crouched beside him. The night had gone dark, and the moon was swallowed by the dark fury clouds. His shirt was torn open, revealing a hard, sculpted chest marked with cuts and bruises. Her fingers traced the edge of a deep wound on his ribs. Immediately, the wound shrink. His hard skin began to draw together, and the deep cut slowly began to heal. Her breath caught. Jaw dropped, as she stared at the shocking event unveiling before her very eyes. “Impossible…” she murmured to herself. She dipped a cloth into the water and gently wiped the blood from his face. His jaw was sharp and arrogant even in his unconscious state. His skin was far too calm for a man who had been beaten to the point of death. She chuckled nervously. “You’re… handsome,” she whispered, almost embarrassed by herself. She leaned closer, pressing her ear to his chest. His heart was beating. Slow, steady, powerful. Definitely alive. Her eyes narrowed, the bruises were fa
Chapter 8: Divorce Verdict, Broken Promises
The elevator doors opened, revealing the polished marble floor of Marianne’s new penthouse. The place reeked of money and fresh beginnings. Glass walls, white furniture, gold accents that screamed victory. Demian stepped out calmly in white suit. His hands tucked in his pockets, and his presence cut through the room like a blade.Inside the living room, Marianne was laughing with her mother. A glass of wine raised mid-air. “To new beginnings!’ Martha cheered, and Marianne laughed so hard. Immediately, the door opened unannounced and Demian walked into them. The laughter died prematurely, and the wine glass slipped from Marianne’s fingers.CRASH!!!Marianne flared up from her seat, and Martha screamed. “Impossible…” Martha whispered, face draining of color.Demian stood there, tall, composed, devastatingly alive. Chapter 9: Blood On The Engagement Party
The following day, the hall was full, but everybody was anticipating the arrival of the Immortal. Wealthy businessmen, all waiting to swear their loyalty to the immortal and get on his good side. At exactly 5pm, Demian arrived. The hall went silent. He walked in, wrapped in the full regalia of the Alter Realm—an impossibly long coat made from thick, dark animal fur that brushed the marble floor with every step. The coat seemed to swallow the light around him, making his presence feel heavier than the chandeliers above. Conversations died mid-sentence. Glasses froze halfway to lips.Without asking permission, Demian climbed the steps and sat on the Overlord’s special seat.A collective gasp rippled through the crowd.Moments later, Hades emerged from the inner chamber with Marianne hanging on his arm, radiant in gold, her smile prepared for applause. The smile shattered the instant her eyes landed on the throne. Her face drained. “What is he doing there?”Hades followed her gaze—and

At the government house in Sunville, the hall was filled with prominent figures.Prime Minister Diana had just walked in and had barely settled when the doors swung open. All eyes traveled to the entrance, and the temperature of the hall dropped instantly.Demian walked in with measured steps. His long fur coat trailed behind him like a shadow. The Senate leader followed two paces back, head bowed, while armed security flanked with rigid obedience. Every minister, governor, and political heavyweight present rose from their seats as if pulled by the same invisible string. One by one, they bowed.“My Lord,” voices murmured in fear and reverence. All—except one.At the far end of the table, Prime Minister Diana sat comfortably, legs crossed, chin lifted. She did not flinch. She did not bow. She simply watched him approach with cool, assessing eyes. Demian’s gaze didn't waver. She was in her mid-forties, yet time had treated her like an indulgent lover. Her light-brown skin glowed with
