Left Behind
Deep in my slumber, a loud scream suddenly woke me up. *Who's that at this hour?* I thought. I picked up my phone— it was 4 PM. "I hope it's just a game like usual," I muttered. "Because if someone screamed for no reason and ruined my sleep, I'm going to beat them."I got out of bed slowly, my eyes heavy and my legs weak. I staggered toward the door, grabbing a cup of water on my way out.Outside, the sun wasn’t too bright. My eyes immediately caught my female neighbor, Joy, down on both knees, crying and begging for forgiveness while staring up at the sky. At first, I thought she was drunk again. I laughed softly— until my ears were suddenly assaulted by an unexpected, deafening explosion. In my entire life, I had never heard such a violent sound. It was far louder, deeper, and scarier than thunder. The earth shook violently for several seconds afterward.I watched in disbelief as the light from the sun began to dim slowly. *What is going on?* I thought. I pulled out my phone again.
Chaos And Family
What the fuck! It spoke... and it knows my name too. "Chris can't you talk, it chuckled slightly, or are you so afraid that you cannot handle what your seeing, hahahahahah." I need to get away from this thing, please body obey me, i struggled to move, while maintaining eye contact with the demon as it continued chewing down on joy's body. Trying to get pull myself out of this fear by all means, i never saw the demon's attack coming, it casually hit me in the gut with one finger. I was sent flying backwards. "Bam." My body slammed against the back of my truck. Immediately i coughed out blood, i pushed myself up to seat on the ground while groaning in pains, my vision slowly getting dark. I raised my eyes up, it was still smiling while looking at me. It's teeth bloodied and big enough to tear me apart in one attack. For a moment i had given up, the Almighty has taken away his own, no more grace, saviour or mercy. What can i really do? There's no need fighting the impossible. "Brothe
Family House
I got to my family home at sunset, outside the compound I parked my vehicle. I held my weapons at the ready, my machete in my right hand, MP5 strapped to my back and loaded. Softly I shut the driver's door, and made a run for it to where there was cover. Through the holes inside the fence I scouted inside the compound, I gathered all the Intel needed, 1...2...8....10....15....20 demons barely 4ft. All of them were trying their best to break into our home. "Hmmm, I sighed, it's going to be hard, but I must protect my family at all cost." I dashed towards the back of the house around the fence with haste, with ease I pulled myself up the fence and with grace I landed softly. Suddenly a loud sound exploded again "Boom!" I gazed at the sky, it was the veil... Cracks spread across like spiderwebs. Deep within my soul I knew that something or somethings are trying to come through once that veil falls completely apart. This little demons are just the new born babies compared to the adults.
A Taste Of Demon
"All doors, windows, and every possible hole those things might crawl through have been fully sealed, brother," Jubi said, gripping a bat firmly in his right hand."Good," I replied. "Now we watch and see what the night brings.""Damn, it’s really pouring out like I’ve never seen before," one of Jubi’s friends said, peering outside through the tiny holes in the wall as the rain continued to pour violently."It’s been raining for almost four hours, and not even a single attack from anywhere," another added. His skin was dark like the night, and his eyes glowed golden like the setting sun."Kind of surprising that time still works, don’t you think, brother?" Jubi asked, seated on the couch."Yeah, it is," I said. "But all of you must stay vigilant. You never know when those demons will strike again." I winced as my two sisters treated the wounds from earlier."Brother, tell me," one of Jubi’s friends spoke up, glaring at me intensely. "How long are we supposed to remain here? If they co
Who I'm I
Where am I? I asked myself as I floated in a deep, endless darkness. There was no light in sight as far as my eyes could see. "Is there anyone here?!" I screamed the same words over and over. "Anyone here?!"There was no sense of time in this place, but it felt like I had been calling out for hours with no response. Then I saw something strange — a dark flame burning silently, fixed at one single point in the void. I reached out to touch it."STOP."A massive being emerged from the darkness. Its eyes glowed golden, and its body was enormous, far beyond anything I had seen in real life."Who are you?" I asked, staring up at the dark entity."That is the wrong question to ask, Chris," it replied. "You already know who I am, don’t you?"Its voice alone made my body tremble. Goosebumps covered my skin and refused to leave."No, I don’t know you. How do I get out of here?" I asked desperately."You still haven’t answered me, Chris. Who am I?""I don’t know who you are! Just show me the wa
Find Me, Human
You somehow managed to kill 6 yellow eye demons, all while been injured — coming towards me the two coloured eye demon said. Deep within my body I knew he was different just like the red eye demon, but right now my legs can barely keep me up, I don't know how long before I hit my limit. "You know human what you have done here is not a miracle — because 'God' has turned his back on the world." "So tell me, human: why do you keep fighting? You know you can't revise what's already sealed." Where does your strength come from? "Where do you get the strength to keep pushing forward, human?" the creature said, standing inches away. I didn't respond to the creature, silence was my answer as the rain continuously unleashed its anger. "Sniff, sniff, ahhhh, I see — the demon chuckled softly, you have the smell of one of us within you, now I see where some of that strength comes from." Its smart and not only that, but cautious as well, it wouldn't actually get within my striking range, even th
Transformation
He has been unconscious for two solid days, Jubi said — I felt him close seated beside me. We have to wake him up somehow, we cannot survive another attack from those demons — Williams spoke, I could hear his footsteps all over the place. You know that we have tried our best best to wake him up, but he's not responding — you cannot force an unconscious person awake, unless you want them dead, Jubi raised his voice. "Ahhhh, I chuckled softly so they wouldn't hear me, its good that they are lively — though I'm surprised that they stood their ground for two solid days against the demons. "I'm proud of them." While you guys are arguing about either waking brother up and not to, we should probably starting leaving before the... "Demon horde" meets us, praise said, his breaths heavy as he rushed into the house. "A demon horde?" John spoke asked. Yeah... Remember Jubi ordered me to go scout the entire place beyond our neighborhood, 'knowing fully well I could die.' John nodded. Okay, so
Black Lightning
"Have you all taken what is needed?" I asked. My family and new acquaintances stood before me, luggage and survival kits in hand. They nodded. 'Alright, load up. I'm driving.' Jubi you will sit with me in front, the four ladies and John will occupy the backseat — Praise and Williams will both stay in the back where they will defend us from any demon attacks, with the weapons I stole earlier before arriving. "Okay," they each responded, except John whose face was all red. "Hold on! Why do I have to sit with the ladies?" John stepped in front of me, blocking the driver's door. I slowly slid a round into the MP5, the click loud in the sudden quiet. "Are you afraid of sitting with them?" I asked, hanging my sword at my back. No am not, John responded. "I mean I sit with my sisters all the time... So no." His eyes kept moving away from mine. Yap, he's useless. Why would the universe give me a virgin in an apocalyptic world? I thought to myself. Okie, Williams you will swap positions

"Where are those things coming from?" Dora yelled, clutching her hands as she stared at Prosper."Don't look at me like that, Dora. I don’t know," Prosper replied. He tapped my shoulder. "Can this car go any faster?""I'm already going as fast as I can," I answered, eyes fixed on the road and the ice spears bursting out of the ground ahead."Father, please don’t let us die," Jubi prayed."What are you doing, idiot?" Williams asked."Praying, obviously," Jubi snapped, glaring at him while keeping his hands clasped together."God cannot hear you anymore, man. Don’t forget — the Rapture has already taken place. Now we’re on our own," Williams replied. For a moment, the two men stared at each other as if they were about to fight. My second sister, Prestige, cried out, "Please, brother… keep us safe."Her voice ignited a fierce determination in me to protect them all."Brother, drive faster! The ice spears are getting closer!" Praise and John shouted.I could see panic spreading across eve
The Military Base
The military base was too quiet. No guards, no voices—just the echo of our footsteps like a grim countdown. “It’s a miracle we survived all that,” Jubi said as we slowly walked deeper into the base.“The ice spears must have come from somewhere. I’m certain it’s the work of a demon we are yet to see,” Dora spoke, her fingers wrapped tightly around Debby’s hand.“Did you all see how easily it pierced our vehicle? Worse yet, the car exploded and it only managed to make a dent on the ice,” John said, walking closely beside Praise.“It didn’t shatter the ice, but it did cause it to crack—even if only a little,” Williams responded.“Still, we ought to be happy it only went after the car and not us,” Prosper sighed. “Haaa… Imagine if it had come after us instead.” “Yeah,” Debby answered, her voice soft and sweet.“Brother,” Jubi tapped my shoulder. *Tap. Tap. Tap.*“Yeah, what’s up?” I answered, turning to look at him.“You’ve been quiet ever since we stepped into the base. Are you alrigh
