Before it all happened, Alexander was a 22 year old mechanic who found himself a wife, Angelica. She was very beautiful and was a student back then. It happened that Alexander graduated early from school because of his brains but a tragic occurrence struck his family. His mother who had been sick died. He couldn't take it easily cause he was now all alone in the world. He stayed for some years living all by himself and wallowing in pain. No company would hire him.He began to do the little he could to get himself together. It was Angelica that found him at his worst and brought him to light. He fell in love with her. At that time he was so young and jumped into marriage thinking it was all roses. Angelica's family didn't accept him because he wasn't rich. They eventually did when Angelica cried, claiming she loved him. Who knew she jumped into the relationship only because he was handsome and also, because she mistook attraction for love. Even after marriage he still hadn't found a

Alexander was at work as usual, still lost in thought but this time, his brother-in-law, Carter, chose to grace the whole place with his presence by storming into his workplace."What did you do to Angelica?" he demanded, his voice filled with anger. "She's been crying her eyes out. You son of a bitch! You made her cry."Alexander was taken aback by his accusations. He knew that Angelica had been struggling recently, but he had no idea that she had been crying. And he certainly hadn't done anything to make her cry."I don't know what you're talking about," he said, trying to keep his cool. "I haven't done anything to hurt Angelica. In fact, I've been trying to help her as much as I can. If she's upset, it's not because of me.""That's not what she said," He shook his head. "She told me you slapped her today just because she asked you to get her some shoes online. What kind of husband are you if you won't even satisfy your own wife? And how dare you lay your filthy hands on her?"Alexa

Several weeks later, Alexander and his wife were invited to a party. His In-laws got the invite because his father-in-law was amongst the circle of business men. He works as his boss's secretary.Choosing not to ride with him, Angelica dolled up and left earlier. She wouldn't want to be associated with him at the party. When he reached the venue in his old rusty car, he was almost dismissed from the premises were it not for the invitation card in his hand.He finally got in through the gate and was marveled at the gigantic building that was being used for the party. The whole place screamed wealth. As soon as he entered the hall built downstairs for these parties, he froze to a spot. He was putting on the only good piece of clothing he had. The one his friend Wyatt had bought him on his wedding. At that time they still had eachother's contact.Looking at how wealthy and classy everyone was dressed, he regretted agreeing to come. He would have just stayed home but his father-in-law wan

During lunch at work, when Alexander stood in line, waiting for his food, he felt someone tap him gently on the shoulder. He turned around and saw a familiar face. It's Rebecca. So, she's the delivery woman who brings food to his workplace. She was smiling at him, her hazel eyes shining."Hi, mister," she said, her voice warm and friendly. "It's nice to see you again." She doesn't yet know his name. But still he was taken aback by her kindness. He's not used to being treated with such warmth and respect. He stammered a bit before he managed to say, "Hi, Rebecca. It's nice to see you too"Surprisingly, she dragged him out of the line to a corner and handed him a packed food flask for him. "I didn't stalk you. I just found out you were a worker here" she explained. He nodded, taking the flask from her. "The food is always good. Thank you but why the free food anyway?"Rebecca blushed slightly. She can't believe she's melting in front of a guy "It's to thank you for the past three weeks

As Alexander sat in the police station, waiting to be processed, he couldn't help but think about his wife's mother. She had never liked him, and now she had the perfect opportunity to get rid of him. What if she had somehow convinced his wife to frame him?He was starting to feel overwhelmed by the whole situation. Not only was his marriage falling apart, but now he was facing the possibility of a long prison sentence. Finally, he was brought in to the cell but blood dripped from his lower lip as he winced. He'd been battered, just as ordered. The other prisoner, who was in the same jail cell as him, lay on the cold floor, his eyes fixed on the ceiling. He hadn't spoken to Alexander since he was brought in, wounded and bleeding.Alexander tried to focus on the floor beneath him, but his eyes kept drifting to the other prisoner. The man was covered in dirt, his hair looking unkept. As Alexander studied him, the prisoner's good eye (his other eye was punctured) met his and he spoke. "Y
