Chapter 1: A Desperate Takedown
Daniel’s POV Daniel saw the ball about to hit the crossbar; he lined himself up for the rebound. The ball was incoming, and he slowly aligned himself as the anticipating crowd sat on the edge of their seats. He aimed for a swift strike. Woosh! Defender Matt Downey from the Brawlers team swooped in and delivered a brutal tackle that sent Daniel rolling across the soccer field. Daniel’s POV Morning eventually arrived over Holloway Community College. Chapter 4: Better Late Than Never
Coach Mile’s POV “Dad! You made it!” Sebastian was overly ecstatic to see his father, he got up to meet him halfway across the room.“Am I late?” Miles asked “Yes, but I bought you some time Dad, I let someone else go in before me.”“I agree son, pinky promise.”“We cannot let Mom find this out when she calls, Dad. Jeromes’s POV Early Monday morning, and the Pinnacles were out for practice, except for Jackson, who was busy ensuring that all the boys who had failed passed their assessments.“Come at me with all you’ve got all of you.”“You sure Jerome? Jane’s POV It was 5:10 P.M. Tuesday, and Rebecca’s impatience started to kick in. She had responded to a text that Jane had sent her earlier in the day, telling her to meet her by the old dried-up maple tree at 5:00 P.M. after lectures were through.“Hey, sorry I’m late! Daniel’s POV Rebecca selfishly chose not to chase after Jane and instead went back to Daniel’s room.
