Chapter Eighteen

The scene shifts to the aftermath of the court hearing. Everyone is leaving with the same question on their minds: how could someone forget what happened last month and what brought them to jail? Many citizens stay near the court, waiting for news about the case of Ondula, who is accused of a serious crime and is rumored to be burned alive.

Meanwhile, Mr. Opikli is taken to the suffering prison, which is located in the northern part of the country and is the only one of its kind in the entire country. This special prison is notorious for torturing and beating both men and women. Upon arrival, Opikli is unchained and begins celebrating because the prison smells better than the one he came from.
