The First Secret

After a long relationship with the kitchen world, Ken and Darren finally make Ramen and Teriyaki from frog meat. They took him to Ernest's room. Ernest himself, who was struggling to enter the workers' data, was distracted by the sound of a door knock.

Knock!

"Mr. Ernest, it's us, sir! Darren and Ken," Darren exclaimed from outside the room.

Ernest said, "Get in!" and immediately confirmed his seat so that he seemed more relaxed and did not look nervous it.

Darren opens the door and a smiling face appears to him, followed by Kenneth who comes smiling and carries the tray of dishes he asks for. However, the smell of the dish stimulated his appetite and aroused his hunger. Shit, he's thinking disgusting things.

"It smells so good! Did you make it from frog meat?" Ernest asked when Kenneth put the ramen bowl and frog steak plate on his desk.

"We don't replace it with meat, sir! By your order, if we have to process frog meat into a good dish. And this is the result, please taste it. We choose a simple menu with authentic taste so that customers can easily like it," explained Kenneth.

"Well, did you taste it too?" asked Ernest, making sure.

"Of course, sir! First, we confirm whether this meat is good or not. And confirm whether this can be eaten or not, so it is sure to be safe," Darren replied.

"All right, I'll give it a try. From the outside, I like your plate. You're very neat, it also smells very appetizing. In the beginning, no one would have guessed that this was frog meat. You know that if you do this enough mainstream and there might be someone who thinks anything about our restaurant. Frogs don't too bad to eat, " says Ernest in response to their nod.

"All right, I'll feel it!" he said.

Ernest was trying as hard as he could. He put aside his disgust and tasted the dish. It starts with ramen which turns out to be very good and typically similar to Japanese ramen in general. Ernest also really liked the texture of the frog meat which had been made like tender beef.

After tasting ramen, he tasted the frog's teriyaki. He was really surprised because the taste wasn't as bad as he thought. He smiled happily while chewing the food.

"Well, you guys are professional chefs. I'm proud to get this dish very good with authentic Japanese flavor. I accept your cuisine! Oh yes, you're videoing the way it was made, right?" asked Ernest to both of them.

"Of course, sir. It's on my phone," Darren replied about giving the phone to Ernest but Ernest immediately refused.

"No, no. Just send it to me via W******p. You can go back to work and open a restaurant! Do your best for this restaurant, yes! Fighting!" exclaimed Ernest happily.

"Thank you, sir!" they said and said goodbye to go back to the kitchen.

After they left, Ernest looked at the two dishes in front of him. He won't hate frogs anymore. It's an interesting and very good dish! Ernest loved it so much.

"I thought it would be disgusting, but it turned out to be delicious. All right, I'll make a video to Jeremy, so that my money will be deposited immediately!" Ernest said proudly.

Ernest turned on the camera. He also performed the frog cooking making in front of the camera. He's completely out of his mind by now.

— The Game of Death —

"We did it! Mr. Ernest liked it!" Kenneth exclaimed to Darren.

"Yes, I didn't expect him to eat that dish very well. He's crazy!" Darren said.

While they were having such a conversation, Darren and Kenneth, who were about to go to the kitchen, were intercepted by members of the cashier's staff and waitress.

"Don't come in! We'll interview you!" exclaimed Talita, preventing Darren and Kenneth from entering the kitchen room where they work.

"What's wrong? We have to work. Soon the restaurant will open," Darren said confused.

" Answer our questions first, and then you can go inside," Angel insisted.

"What question? Ask us, we have to hurry and work before we get caught by Mr. Ernest if we are negligent," Kenneth replied.

"Is it true that you cooked frog meat? According to the assistant chef, they were given frog meat for this restaurant's dish. Is that true?" asked Angel to the point.

"Right. So what? It's the secret of the restaurant. You have to cover it, otherwise, your lives are at stake," Kenneth answered casually.

"Are you crazy? Isn't the frog unhygienic?" asked Talita not believing it.

"If you can process it well, then the frog will be a good dish. Want to try it?" offered Darren, who was immediately rewarded with a loud laugh from them.

"No, no! We don't want to!" they exclaimed.

"All right, then make way for us. We have to work again. Oh yes, turn the open sign so that customers stop by," Kenneth told Kenneth.

They leave, and Kenneth and Darren go back to the kitchen. Meanwhile, cashier employees and staff rushed back to work. The restaurant opened and customers arrived there at one time. They, the employees, can only swallow their saliva when they see the buyer eating toad meat very well.

"If they knew what they were eating, they would sue this place. I'm afraid," Angel whispered to Talita.

"Pray that it doesn't happen. Hang in there because this restaurant only gives a big salary," Talita said trying to calm Angel down.

The restaurant was very crowded that day. Even regular customers come day and night. Ernest, who saw the rapid growth of his business venture, smiled. No one knows what it's made of. They eat it without knowing what they eat.

"The food was very good, wasn't it?" Ernest said proudly.

Notifications of incoming messages also distracted Ernest's eyes and focus. He also grabbed his phone from his pants pocket. Even a smile is engraved again.

From Jeremy.

Mission two is complete! The third assignment I'll tell you about u later, I've transferred your money to your account! Have a good day!

Reading the message made Ernest's zealous heart grow stronger. He immediately opened mobile banking and 500$ was already in his account. Jeremy never lied to his promises.

Ernest was driving his car about to go home. After conducting a briefing and repatriating the employees. Ernest was finally able to return home feeling calm.

The sound of classical songs was heard in the car singing beautiful and soothing music. Today, his heart is really in a very happy condition. He doesn't know how to express it so he can only hum in the car.

The car stopped right in front of his house. He also parked the car he had just bought a few days ago entering his garage. Wealth, abundance, Ernest got it all. By the way, let's not forget Ernest has moved out of that shabby contract that brought the bad luck of his life. He now lives in a luxury estate where his neighbors come from office workers and wealthy businessmen like him.

After parking his car, Ernest walked out of the car and into the house. He saw that his father was watching a football match while eating the popcorn he made.

"Goal!! " Lewis exclaimed surprised Ernest who had just returned home.

"Oh my God! Dad surprised me!" Ernest whispered while holding his almost dislocated chest.

"Ernest, did you just come home, son? Here, there's a football league you have to watch!" asked Lewis while patting the sofa seat next to him.

"All right," Ernest said then walked up to Lewis and sat down beside him.

"How was it today? Everything went well?" Lewis asked during a short commercial for the league event.

"Of course, today there are a lot of visitors coming to the restaurant. I'm really happy because of the promotion you did well! Thank you, father!" Ernest said happily.

"Woah? I was really surprised it was very crowded today. How many visitors came today?" Lewis asked curiously.

"About 180 people came to the restaurant. And they liked my restaurant's cuisine. I was good at choosing a chef. They deserved to be paid more," Ernest replied proudly.

"Don't pay more, son! Pay according to the initial standard you applied. Let them get their tip. Isn't the salary you promised to pay too high? It's more than enough to pay," Lewis explained.

"Oh, like that? All right, well, I'll do as you say! Ah, then I'm taking a break, yeah, yeah! Tomorrow I have to work again, Dad, don't stay up too late, okay!" Ernest exclaimed to clean up and rest in his room.

"Get some rest, son. You worked hard today. I'll sleep when I'm done," said Lewis in response to Ernest's nod.

Ernest walked to his room. He cleaned himself immediately and after he had finished he put himself on the bed. Ah, it feels so good after working all day to finally lie down in a comfortable place!

Before he went to bed, Ernest checked his phone. No message notifications at all from Hellen. Ernest could only breathe a long sigh. Since he expressed his feelings, Hellen hasn't even heard from him until now. Did the girl stay away from him after she knew how she felt?

"Where are you, Hellen? Are you busy? Or are you deliberately avoiding me? It has been days since the day I expressed my feelings, you have not answered. I miss," Ernest said while staring at his picture with Hellen first.
