The day has come off the awaited battle event. After waiting for a while on the starting town plaza, participants continuously gathered.

In addition, a gigantic screen appeared in the sky. With that, they should be showing interesting players. They will be watched by non-combat characters users and players that had not participated.

“Wait no longer! The battle event! battle royale will be started!”

From here and there, the noise like “Ohhhh!” echoed. Kaede also raises her fist though she was shy and shouted.

There flows an announcement with loud volume.

“Well then, the rules will be explained once more! The time limit is three hours. The stage will be a newly created event map! The number of plays defeated and the times being defeated, damage dealt and damage received. Using these criteria points will be computed, and will be ranked! Further, event items will be sent to the top ten players! Please do your best!”

After the announcement, the countdown before the teleportation was shown on the screen, and when it became zero. Kaede was enveloped by light.

Looking around.

“Where is this?”

Kaede noticed that the blinding light has disappeared. She opened her eyes closed and look around her surroundings.  Before she knows it she is teleported to the event map.

“Looks like I’m in some kind of crumbling ruined castle. There is no one around me. That’s good, I don’t have to deal with players immediately… I don’t have any agility to move around. Even if I move around, eventually, I’ll be caught by someone… I guess I’ll be waiting here instead.”

Kaede sat on the decently large brick of stone and waited for the other players to attack. While she was waiting she was drawing doodles on the ground with another stone.

After a few minutes, sounds were heard here and there.

“Finally!”

She thought and raised her head, it was too late and the sword that was swung was already in attacking range.

“I got you!”

The players shouted. A player sneaked behind Kaede and attacked her with his sword.

If it was Kaede before, she couldn't block that, but Kaede right now has “Knowledge of Evasion level 4” with her. Her body moves more smoothly than before and dodges the surprise attack behind her.

“What that?”

The player was shocked by Kaede’s fast reaction.

Kaede swings her sword.

One attack off her sword sends the player flying and puts his health bar down to zero.

“That’s impossible! Uwaaaaaa!”

His body then turned into light particles and disappeared. After being defeated he returned to the plaza to become an observer. He was downcast and depressed afterward.

“Looks like my sword attack was very powerful because of my STR and skills. I don’t want to think too much of numbers but it’s great that I defeated him with one attack… I guess I continue drawing.”

Just like that, Kaede showed her defenseless look and goes back to doodling on the ground.

Right, Kaede who was having fun drawing was really defenseless. Making her an easy target by a group of players. It’s not like she’s doing it on purpose. She just finds it hard o move around when you don’t have enough AGI points on your status.

A party of three players charges in her direction this time. Making a party is not against the rules. It is probably the result of wanting to make one of the party members in the top ten.

The male swordsman ran. It was a straightforward dash. But still, Kaede with her evasion skill was quite quick to dodge.

But, the speed of emptying the distance of 10 meters is too different from the speed of Kaede making a sheathing sound with a sword.

“Paralyzing roar!”

With a very good metal sound of her sword going back to its sheath. The three players collapsed suddenly.

“What is this skill?! I can’t move an inch of my body.”

“Is that skill even legal?”

“I can’t believe it.”

Kaede then walked toward the players and then using her sword stabbed the players through their chests. The players became light particles and disappeared.

“My sword became more powerful… Putting my status points on my STR is not a bad idea at all.”

Kaede muttered and grinned briefly.

 There is no way you can call this bad equipment. Kaede nodded once and went back to her place again.

That kind of monster sword user is only you. Sadly there is no person in that place to say that in front of Kaede.

Meanwhile in the spectator's seat on the starter town plaza. Defeated players watch the ongoing event via huge screen displays in the sky.

“Good thing that some of the top ten players didn’t join this event. If the top players join in then it’s a total massacre.”

“They are monsters… Their skills are inhuman.”

“But, the ones that are continuously winning are famous names after all.”

“Hahahaha… That’s natural for the top players to be so strong.”

While chatting the player's attention was pulled after the endeavors of Kaede were shown on the screen. With her sword, she’s one hitting almost all of the players that come her way.

After defeating her opponent she returns to her place like some kind of swordmaster waiting for a challenge.

“Wow! That little girl is so overpowered! Never heard of her name before.”

Thirty minutes have passed in the battle event. The sword user Kaede crushed 150 players with no damage received.

“That’s got to be a cheater! That’s an impossible feat to achieve!”

“Don’t accuse her like that… This game has plenty of hidden and exclusive skills scattered around the map. It’s one of the features that I love about this game. In this game almost anything is possible.”

Kaede’s rampage was shown on the screen and all of her highlights and attack. Everyone started to adore her seeing her battle players.

The player that’s supposed to defend Kaede for not being a  cheater gradually got anxious and shouted.

“Cheater! That’s got to be a cheat!”

“You’re defending her just a second ago… That showed can release a paralyzing spark around her area and that sword is also used to have a special skill to eat another player. Her sword started to look like a sword from a god eater.”

“That’s an old game… Did you like a monster hunter?”

“Yeah.”

The two players became best friends after that conversation.

“The way she’s stabbing the player without any conscience. Although she is cute she is like a serial killer. Just how strong is her attack? Even I whose in level 21 can’t one hit a level, full build player.”

“Looking at her closely her walking speed is slow, but her dodging skill is so high. I feel like I saw this skill before from the top players. I just can’t remember it.”

Kaede with her sword manages to cut down a big man with thick armor covering his whole body. His body was cut down from its head toward its bottom.

Everyone who saw that horrible thing comes down into despair and fright.

“She’s a demon.”

Everyone agrees.

Rather the skills and equipment. The player itself was stage one. Changing places to the event area, being tired out of sitting around. Kaede was walking in a one-way street.

She saw a lot of players that made a party, but she hadn’t seen a party of 50 people. The players are all in the mage class. That means they all specialize in magic attacks.

As soon as they saw Kaede, they released their magic to her.

The movement was so synched. Probably, they had hunted players like this a lot.

Her knowledge of evasion became her main assent in avoiding the magic. But still, even Kaede can’t dodge all of the attacks thrown at her ones. She received damage and her health bar started to decrease into its red.

She immediately leaps into a  big rock to hide and get a potion to drink. Replenishing her health she goes back into battle.

At the time their magic attack ended. Kaede drew the sword from her waist.

From her blade, a black dragon was summoned.

“Black Poison dragon!”

The same dragon monster Kaede defeated last time appeared on the battlefield. Using its lethal poison breaths. The mage players were all defeated instantly. The poison breath was scattered around the whole area and the nearby places like the lake, river, and forest area.

Some players got caught up in the black points dragons' poison breath and die.

This looks very powerful but she can only use this skill with condition and limitation. Because of her lack of INT, she doesn’t have enough MP to cast this skill. But with the help of a bizarre eater eating the players. The players eating was converted into a points counter that can be used as a replacement for MP. The dragon will only appear for 1 minute and disappeared afterward.

For Kaede to summon the black poison dragon, she needs to devour enough monsters or players to cast it.

But the spectators who don’t have a single clue about this skill were terrified.

“That girl is too much of a  monster!”

“What the heck is that?”

“The reason she receives magic was maybe because of the armor or so overpowered skill she got.”

“That girl is like a top player don't you think? But I never heard of her. She is like a demon lord or something.”

At that time, Kaede was labeled as the rising demon lord. Of course, Kaede doesn’t have any idea about anything about this.
