1 – You've reached your limit

The Green Dragon bar was alive with energy as Aiden stepped through the door. He was a tall, handsome man with jet-black hair and piercing blue eyes. His chiseled jawline and prominent cheekbones made him look like he belonged on the cover of a magazine.

Dressed in a perfectly tailored black suit, Aiden made his way through the crowded bar towards a table filled with friends. As he approached, he could hear the raucous laughter and cheers emanating from the group.

"Free drinks for everyone!!!" he shouted, standing atop another guy lying face down over several tables. The crowd erupted into cheers, and people began dancing wildly on top of the tables.

A waitress approached him with three glasses, and he thanked her before turning his attention back to the lady leaning against him. She wore a tight red bodycon dress that showed off every curve of her body, and she smiled seductively through heavily painted eyelids.

"Mr. Aiden, I'm having a great evening," she purred, leaning forward to kiss him again.

Aiden glanced briefly between the woman and the waitress, who had stopped beside them holding four empty pint mugs. He caught her eye, and they locked gazes for a moment before she turned away to hand out the bill.

Whisking himself upright, Aiden took hold of the woman's waist and pulled her closer. "I think you're overdressed tonight, darling," he whispered, tugging lightly on the hemline above her hips.

The waitress interrupted their interlude with a loud clearing of her throat, and Aiden handed over his credit card to cover everyone's bill.

As he waited for the card to be returned, his phone began buzzing in his pocket. He pulled it out to find a flood of messages from the same number.

"What the hell does that old lawyer want?" he muttered, scrolling through the notifications. His eyes widened as he read the content of the email from DHX Bank.

He spat out a mouthful of his drink onto the floor, causing several heads to turn in his direction. Ignoring them, he dashed to the door leading downstairs to find somewhere private to call Mr. Raymond.

"What is the new rule?!" he demanded, trying to keep his voice steady despite being thrown off guard by the mail.

Raymond's reply was calm and measured. "I tried to warn you months ago, my boy. You know damn well why this happened. But I'm afraid we'll need to meet sooner rather than later because these people aren't playing games anymore."

Aiden gritted his teeth, waiting for further details. "…how dare they freeze me out like some common criminal?! Who do they even think they are dealing with here!?"

Silence followed before Raymond spoke again. "They say you spent too freely, way beyond reasonable limits."

"It is my money dammit…it belongs to ME! Who the fuck put a limit?!" Aiden shouted, punching the wall in anger.

Raymond spoke slowly and deliberately. "You know where you have to go to meet me if you would like to know the last message your father sent…"

Aiden hung up, feeling defeated. His mind raced wildly as he left the bar and got into his car. Driving towards downtown Collow, he clenched his fists tight against the steering wheel. "I will get back what's mine somehow," he thought with a burning determination.
