The atmosphere in the Su Group’s executive lobby was thick with panic and the smell of sweat.

Elder Kuang was still lying on the conference room carpet, twitching and drooling, while his disciples had long since fled in terror.

Madam Su was pacing a trench into the floor, screaming at anyone who would listen. "We’re ruined! The Zhao family is going to bury us! And it’s all because this clumsy, good-for-nothing dwarf can’t hold onto a thermos!"

Lin Fan was sitting quietly on a leather sofa, sipping from a backup carton of soy milk he’d pulled from his pocket. "I told you, Mother Su. It was an accident. Gravity is a harsh mistress."

Before Madam Su could launch into another tirade, the glass doors of the lobby burst open. Su Hao stumbled in, looking like he’d been dragged through a sewer. His clothes were torn, his hair was a mess, and his eyes were wide with a mixture of sheer terror and drunken hysteria. He had just escaped the Black Lotus Casino by the skin of his teeth after the "Supreme Dragon God" nearly fed him to a guard dog.

"Hao'er!" Madam Su rushed over, grabbing his shoulders. "What happened to you? Where have you been?"

"I saw him! I saw the Dragon God!" Su Hao shrieked, his voice cracking as he pointed a trembling finger at the ceiling. "He drinks soy milk! He taps his finger! *Tap-tap... pause... tap!* It’s Lin Fan! Or his guy! The Dragon God is connected to the dwarf!"

The entire lobby went dead silent. The surviving employees stared at him like he was a lunatic.

Su Qing rubbed her temples, her headache returning with a vengeance. "Su Hao, you’re drunk again. The Supreme Dragon God is a seven-foot-tall underworld demon. He doesn’t drink soy milk, and he certainly isn’t connected to Lin Fan."

"But I swear!" Su Hao yelled, dropping to his knees and grabbing Su Qing’s skirt. "Qing'er, you have to listen to me! The dwarf is dangerous! He’s hiding something! When I looked into the Dragon God’s eyes, I felt the same dead, scary vibe I get when Lin Fan watches those murder documentaries!"

Madam Su’s face twisted in rage. She pulled her son up and slapped him across the back of the head. "Shut up, you idiot! Are you trying to get us killed? The dwarf is a genetic defect! If you insult the Dragon God’s name by comparing him to this runt, the underworld will slaughter us! Go to your room and sleep it off before I call the asylum!"

Su Hao was dragged away by two security guards, still screaming about soy milk and finger-tapping, sounding completely unhinged.

Lin Fan just took another sip of his soy milk, his expression perfectly blank. *Kid’s got a point,* he thought. *But nobody listens to a drunk.*

Before the family could recover, the temperature in the lobby seemed to drop. A fleet of five black Maybachs pulled up outside, and the doors opened in unison.

Striding through the shattered glass doors was Zhao Tianhai, the patriarch of the Zhao family and one of the top three tycoons in Jiang City. He was a ruthless, cold-blooded man in his fifties, flanked by a dozen elite bodyguards. Behind him, a bruised and bandaged Zhao Feng limped along, pointing a shaky finger at Lin Fan.

"Dad! That’s him! That’s the freak who humiliated me!" Zhao Feng whined.

Zhao Tianhai’s eyes swept over the room, lingering on the paralyzed Elder Kuang, before locking onto the three-foot-four man on the sofa. His gaze was filled with absolute, unfiltered contempt.

"So," Zhao Tianhai’s voice boomed, echoing off the marble walls. "This is the little rat who broke my hired muscle and embarrassed my son. I expected a monster, but you’re just a misplaced garden gnome."

Madam Su immediately dropped to her knees, crawling forward. "Mr. Zhao! Please! It was an accident! The dwarf is stupid, he doesn’t know any better! Punish him, but spare the Su Group!"

Zhao Tianhai ignored her, stepping closer to Lin Fan. "I’m going to make this simple. You will sign a document transferring the Su Group’s remaining assets to the Zhao family, and then you will crawl out of Jiang City on your hands and knees. If you refuse, I’ll have your legs amputated right here."

Lin Fan slowly lowered his soy milk. He looked at Zhao Tianhai, then at the cowering Su family, and finally let out a soft sigh.

"Mr. Zhao," Lin Fan said, his voice calm and steady. "Before you make any hasty decisions, could we have a private word in the CEO’s office? Just you and me. One minute."

Zhao Tianhai laughed, a harsh, barking sound. "A private word? You want to beg on your knees? Fine. I’ll enjoy watching a dwarf grovel." He gestured to his bodyguards. "Wait here. If he tries to run, break his spine."

Lin Fan stood up, his short legs carrying him into the executive office, with Zhao Tianhai following close behind, a cruel smirk on his face.

The moment the heavy oak door clicked shut, the atmosphere in the room violently shifted.

Lin Fan didn’t beg. He didn’t cower. He simply turned around, and the bored, meek son-in-law persona vanished completely. His posture straightened, and a suffocating, blood-curdling killing intent flooded the room, so heavy it cracked the glass of the water pitcher on the desk.

Zhao Tianhai’s smirk instantly vanished. He gasped, stumbling backward as an invisible pressure pinned him to the door. It felt like a mountain had just been dropped on his chest.

"You... what are you?" Zhao Tianhai choked out, his face turning purple.

Lin Fan reached into his pocket and pulled out a small, pitch-black token carved from rare jade, shaped like a coiled dragon. He tossed it onto the desk. It landed with a heavy, dense *clack*.

Zhao Tianhai’s eyes locked onto the token. All the blood drained from his face. His knees buckled, and he collapsed onto the floor, his mind completely short-circuiting. The Black Jade Dragon. The personal令牌 (token) of the Supreme Dragon God. The undisputed ruler of the Nine Heavens Pavilion. The man who controlled the global underworld.

"The... the Supreme Dragon God..." Zhao Tianhai whispered, his voice trembling so hard he could barely form the words. He looked at the three-foot-four man in the cheap clothes, his brain completely failing to reconcile the visual. "But... you’re a... you’re a dwarf..."

"And you’re a dead man if you don't shut your mouth," Lin Fan said, his voice dropping to a freezing, demonic register. "The Su family is under my protection. If you or your pathetic son ever look in their direction again, I won’t just bankrupt the Zhao family. I will erase your entire bloodline from the registry. Do we understand each other?"

Zhao Tianhai didn’t hesitate. He slammed his forehead into the carpet, kowtowing so hard his nose bled. "Yes! Yes, Lord Dragon God! I understand! I swear on my life, the Zhao family will never bother them again!"

"Good," Lin Fan said, the killing intent instantly vanishing. He picked up his soy milk. "Now get out. And tell your son he’s an idiot."

A minute later, the office door opened. Zhao Tianhai walked out. He was pale, sweating profusely, and his hands were shaking.

Zhao Feng rushed forward. "Dad! Did you make him sign it? Did you break his legs?"

Zhao Tianhai turned and slapped his son so hard Zhao Feng spun around and fell to the floor.

"Shut up, you stupid bastard!" Zhao Tianhai roared, his voice cracking with genuine terror. He looked at the Su family, his eyes wide and panicked. "We’re leaving! The Zhao family withdraws all debts! We will never interfere with the Su Group again! If anyone from the Zhao family ever bothers you, I’ll personally skin them alive!"

Without waiting for a response, Zhao Tianhai grabbed his groaning son by the collar and practically dragged him out of the lobby, his bodyguards trailing behind in utter confusion.

The Su family stood in stunned silence.

Madam Su blinked, her brain slowly processing what just happened. Then, she turned to Lin Fan, her face twisting into a triumphant, ugly sneer.

"Ha! I knew it!" she crowed, clapping her hands. "You must have begged him on your knees! You probably cried and kissed his shoes! Thank god you’re so pathetic, Lin Fan. Your groveling just saved the company!"

Su Qing sighed, rubbing her temples. "Lin Fan... I know you were scared, but you shouldn't have humiliated yourself. Next time, just let me handle the negotiations."

Lin Fan just looked at his wife, a faint, amused smirk touching his lips. *Begging, huh? Sure, Qing'er. Whatever you say.*

Suddenly, the sound of roaring engines echoed from the street outside. Not just one car, but a massive convoy. Six armored, custom-built Rolls Royce Phantoms pulled up right in front of the shattered lobby doors.

The Su family rushed to the windows, their eyes widening. The doors of the lead car opened, and a man stepped out.

He was tall—over six feet two—with sharp, aristocratic features, wearing a bespoke, three-piece suit that cost more than the entire Su Group building. A diamond-encrusted Patek Philippe watch gleamed on his wrist, and he radiated an aura of absolute, untouchable luxury and power. He looked like a prince from a global conglomerate.

He walked into the lobby, flanked by four men in sharp black suits. The Su family was mesmerized. Madam Su immediately smoothed her hair, stepping forward with a greedy smile, assuming this billionaire was here to invest in the Su Group after seeing them survive the Zhao family.

"Welcome, young master!" Madam Su gushed, bowing slightly. "I am Madam Su, the matriarch of—"

The tall man didn’t even look at her. He walked right past her like she was a piece of furniture, his eyes locked solely on the three-foot-four man sitting on the sofa.

The tall, impossibly handsome billionaire stopped in front of Lin Fan. Then, to the absolute shock of everyone in the room, he dropped to one knee, bowing his head in deep, reverent respect.

"Big Brother," the billionaire said, his voice smooth but filled with absolute authority. "The Northern Territory is secure. The European syndicates have submitted. But the Ancient Sects are making a move. The Patriarch summons you home."

The morning sun did nothing to brighten the suffocating, toxic atmosphere inside the Su family villa. In fact, the screaming had started before the sun even came up. "Ten million! The Zhao family is demanding ten million in medical fees for Master Tie’s leg, and they’re threatening to call in all of the Su Group’s loans!" Madam Su shrieked, pacing the living room floor like a caged, hysterical hen. She spun around, pointing a trembling, manicured finger at Lin Fan, who was quietly sitting at the kitchen island, trying to enjoy a piece of plain toast. "And that’s not even the worst part! Master Tie’s master, the famous Iron Palm Grandmaster Elder Kuang, is coming to the Su Group headquarters at noon! If we don’t hand you over, he’s going to cripple all of us!"Lin Fan slowly chewed his toast, swallowed, and took a sip of his cheap soy milk. "Hand me over? Mother Su, I’m starting to think you don’t actually like me.""Shut up, you useless freak!" Su Hao yelled from the couch, where he

The heavy, rhythmic thudding of Master Tie’s footsteps seemed to shake the very foundation of the Grand Horizon Hotel’s red carpet. The seven-foot-tall underground fighter cracked his neck, the sound like dry wood snapping, and looked down at Lin Fan with eyes full of absolute, unfiltered disgust. The crowd of socialites, who had been momentarily stunned by the five-hundred-million-dollar flex, quickly found their voices again. The whispers started low, but they quickly swelled into a chorus of mocking sneers. "Five hundred million? So what?" a woman in a diamond choker whispered loudly to her friend. "Money can't buy muscle. He’s still a three-foot-four freak. That giant is going to fold him up and use him as a coaster.""Exactly," her friend agreed, fanning herself. "It’s disgusting. The Su family is letting a genetic defect represent them. No amount of crypto luck can hide the fact that he’s physically defective."Down on the pavement, Zhao Feng was grinning through his bloody t

  • Chapter 7- The dragon God of venture capital

The silence on the red carpet was so thick you could carve it with a knife. The flashbulbs had stopped popping. The socialites were frozen with their champagne glasses halfway to their mouths. Everyone was staring at the three-foot-four man in the cheap, hemmed slacks, and then down at the billionaire catering mogul groveling in front of him."What the fuck did you just call him?!" Zhao Feng roared, spitting a mouthful of blood onto the red carpet. He scrambled to his feet, his face twisted in ugly, purple rage. "He’s a bum! He’s a literal dwarf! You’re talking to the wrong guy, you senile bastard!"Mr. Jin flinched at the shouting, but before he could open his mouth to defend his boss, he felt a sharp, localized pressure on his right foot. Lin Fan had casually stepped forward and planted his cheap canvas shoe squarely on Mr. Jin’s instep. To the onlookers, it just looked like a short guy awkwardly shifting his weight. But Mr. Jin, who was currently having his metatarsals ground into

  • Chapter 6- The cover charge

The next morning, the Su family villa was a whirlwind of expensive perfume and frantic yelling. Madam Su was barking orders at the maid, while Su Hao was practically doing a victory lap in the living room, his fully healed hand flexing as he showed off to his friends on the phone. Lin Fan, meanwhile, was sitting at the kitchen island, quietly eating a bowl of plain oatmeal. He was wearing his only "nice" outfit: a slightly faded gray button-down shirt and a pair of black slacks that he had to have hemmed three times because they kept dragging on the floor. His burner phone buzzed in his pocket. He pulled it out and read the text from Secretary Yan. *Boss, the acquisition is complete. The Golden Lotus Catering Group is 100% yours. The funds were routed through three shell companies. Awaiting your instructions for the Zhao family gala.*Lin Fan took a slow sip of his oatmeal, his thumb hovering over the screen. He didn't want to ruin the food completely—that would be too obvious—but

  • Chapter 5- A clumsy little accident

Dr. Wang’s laughter echoed off the sterile white tiles of the VIP room, loud and grating. The nurses outside the glass partition were giggling too, whispering behind their hands as they looked at Lin Fan like he was a talking cartoon animal. "Delivered a pizza? No, I think he delivers bad luck," Dr. Wang sneered, adjusting his gold-rimmed glasses. He turned his back on Lin Fan, dismissing him entirely. "Nurses! Prep the patient for a manual bone reduction. We don’t have time for general anesthesia, and frankly, the Su family isn't paying for it. Just bite down on this leather strap, Su Hao. This is going to hurt."Su Hao’s face drained of whatever little color it had left. "Wait, what? No anesthesia? Doc, I read that manual reduction without numbing can cause nerve damage! I play golf, I need my grip!""Shut up and take the strap, you spoiled brat," Dr. Wang snapped, his arrogant facade slipping to reveal the sadistic impatience underneath. He grabbed Su Hao’s swollen, mangled wrist
