After the three debt collectors finally left, Olivia’s knees felt so weak that she nearly collapsed. Alex quickly supported her and brought the girl into his modest house.

“Olivia… I’m really grateful to you. If not… maybe—” His words trailed off.

“Alex, this is all I can help you with… Maybe the rest…” She lowered her head. The $500,000 she had given to the debt collectors was the result of years of saving her school allowance.

“Don’t worry. Within these two days, not only will I settle my father’s debt… I’ll definitely return that allowance money to you. Thank you.”

The graceful and beautiful girl merely nodded, though she knew very well how difficult it was to gather such an amount of money—especially within just two days.

“Alex… two days is an extremely short time.”

CREEEAK!

In the middle of their conversation, the door suddenly opened. Instinctively, Alex stood up and stepped forward to shield her. However, it wasn’t the three debt collectors who appeared, but a young man in a luxurious suit, wearing sunglasses.

It was Agra. His well-built physique suggested that he possessed some special ability.

“He’s Agra, my father’s personal assistant… You don’t need to be so alert,” Olivia said as she stood up. She glanced briefly at Alex, then turned and left.

But before she truly went away—

“Take good care of yourself…”

Seeing that Agra did not follow Olivia out of the house, Alex turned his sharp gaze toward the young man.

“What do you want?”

Agra smiled faintly—not a threatening smile, but one filled with disdain.

“Miss Olivia is the official heir of the third-largest corporation in Draken City. Looking at how shabby your house is, you should know your place… You are not worthy of receiving her attention.”

BANG!

Agra threw a black Royal VIP card onto the table and explained coldly.

“There is more than $1,000 in balance inside. Take the money… and stay away from the young miss.”

With a casual motion, Alex flicked his hand. A gust of wind burst forth instantly, sending the black card flying back to land right in front of Agra.

“What do you mean?!” Agra said, irritation creeping into his voice.

“Or is the money not enough?” he added quickly.

“Not enough? You’ve misunderstood. I’m not the one approaching Olivia—it’s that girl who keeps sticking to me,” Alex replied with a thin, mocking smile. “Agra, it seems Olivia is already waiting.”

Agra’s expression darkened slightly. What Alex said was true—Olivia needed to return to her apartment to handle some matters.

After that minor issue was truly gone, Alex lay back and stared at the ceiling of the simple house that belonged to the original owner. For a moment, he pondered how he would repay his father’s debt.

Looking at the card given by Wine Clara, Alex gently weighed the black card in his hand.

“Wine Grace Antique Street… it seems this is the only way to make money quickly—finding real antiques among countless fakes in this new era of this world. I can definitely make a huge profit!”

Choosing to enter a meditative state, he sat cross-legged. Alex’s hands began to move clockwise, and warm currents of air gathered around his body.

That warm, gentle air was no ordinary air—it was Qi energy from a technique Alex had mastered in his first life.

One hour later—

WOOOOOSH!

As Qi energy wrapped around his eyes, his pupils instantly glowed with a soft golden light.

“It’s time to rest…”

The next morning.

After cleaning himself, Alex left the modest house of his late mother and walked from the residential area toward the antique district of Draken City.

The morning atmosphere was lively, filled with bustling activity typical of early hours. But unlike others, Alex wasn’t heading to campus or to work.

He came to Wine Grace Antique Street to seek his fortune.

“Hey, young man! Come to my shop! I’ve got antiques you won’t find anywhere else! Come on, you won’t regret it!”

Hearing offers constantly ringing in his ears, Alex could only shake his head. With just a single glance, he was already able to judge the quality of the items.

After five minutes of browsing—

“Found it…”

He walked toward a street vendor at the roadside. The old man, with a thick white beard, smiled warmly at him.

“It’s rare for a newcomer to be interested in antiques sold by the roadside… Kid, your eyes seem sharper than those rich folks who only judge items by their price,” the old man said admiringly.

Alex didn’t answer. His gaze had already fixed on a jar that looked like nothing more than molded clay.

“How much?”

“$500, no bargaining!” the old man quoted a high price immediately.

Before Alex could even negotiate, a very familiar voice came from behind him. It was Abel—by some twist of fate, they had met again.

“Aiyaa, so this poor kid didn’t come to campus after all? Instead, you came here to buy a worthless lump of clay?!”

The old man’s face stiffened, slightly annoyed. Meanwhile, Alex calmly handed the Royal VIP card given by Wine Clara to the old man.

“There’s $1,000 inside. Keep the change… consider it a tip.”

Feeling ignored, Abel grew irritated. He tried to snatch the clay jar from Alex’s hands.

“Are you really stupid, or just pretending to know how to judge antiques? This is just a lump of clay, you idiot—so easily fooled by others!”

“Young master, why bother with a fool who can’t judge items properly? We should go to Miss Clara’s shop instead. We need to find a gift for your grandfather. Just let this kid eat his $1,000 lump of clay!” his companion sneered.

Abel laughed coldly. “You’re right… Go ahead and eat that clay, trash!”

They headed toward the most luxurious building in the center of Draken City’s antique street.

At first, Alex didn’t seem affected at all. But when he looked back toward the old vendor, his expression suddenly twitched.

“W–Where did that old man go?!”

When they saw Alex enter, the three exchanged glances before curling their lips into crooked smiles.“Well, well… the kid came alone,” said the burly bald man. “Alex, right?”Alex stepped inside with steady strides, even

“Who is it?” Alex asked again, his voice low but alert.“Alex… it’s me.”The woman’s voice sounded calm, slightly hesitant, yet clearly trying to remain polite.Alex frowned. The voice wasn’t unfamiliar. He walked slowly toward the door and opened it just a crack. A woman stood outside, wearing a simple beige coat. Her hair was neatly tied back, her face beautiful with sharp features and intelligent eyes. In her hand was a black leather handbag—expensive, but understated.“Wine Clara?” Alex asked flatly. The woman smiled faintly, relief evident on her face. “Thank goodness you still remember me.”Alex opened the door fully. “Come in.”Clara was slightly surprised. She had expected questions—or even to be driven away. But Alex’s demeanor was far too calm for someone who had once been at odds with her over a trivial matter.Once inside, Clara immediately observed the house. Simple. Clean. Yet cold and eerily quiet.“Are you alone?” she asked.“Always,” Alex replied briefly.Clara nodded

Djanu stepped forward first, followed by Abel and Ruyan, who spread out in a half-circle.A formation painfully familiar to the original body’s memories.Back then, the original owner of this body always stood in the center of that circle—head lowered, trembling in fear, silently enduring the bullying until his entire body was covered in wounds. But now, the positions were reversed. The Alex of today was no longer a loser. He was a former God Cultivator, once revered across countless regions of the Immortal Realm.“So you dare challenge us here,” Abel said coldly. “This place… wasn’t it always the graveyard of your dignity?”Alex smiled faintly—a smile utterly devoid of emotion.“That’s exactly why I chose this place,” he replied calmly. “So you can experience again what you used to do.”Djanu snorted. “Bullshit. You think answering a lecturer’s questions makes you someone important?”He lunged forward instantly, his fist shooting toward Alex’s face, powerful and filled with force.Bu

Djanu’s and even Ruyan’s expressions froze. For some reason, every time they were about to beat Alex, someone always appeared to stop them.“Alex… once again, you’re truly lucky,” Abel said coldly. “But once you step outside campus grounds, I’ll continue this matter.”Abel signaled Djanu to back off. Yet Alex’s grip was terrifyingly strong—like iron shackles that could only be unlocked with a special key.“W–Why…?” Djanu choked out.Alex suddenly released his grip and shoved Djanu aside.“I’ll be waiting for that time to come.”He sat down in the seat provided. Unexpectedly, Zonia sat down beside him.“Isn’t your seat in the back?” Al

Casting a brief glance at Alex’s expressionless face, several of Clara’s attendants immediately exclaimed.“T–That necklace… the one that symbolizes absolute authority!”“That’s right! It’s said this necklace was valued at over ten million dollars! But due to a sudden act of greed, it vanished without a trace! Even now, rulers of various nations are still searching for the symbol of the Blue Ocean Dragon!”Clara carefully picked up the necklace. Her appraisal could not be wrong, yet suspicion still rose within her.“Where did you get this necklace?”“I’m the same as you—someone who can judge an item with just two eyes,” Alex replied calmly. “What makes you so suspicious? Right now, I just happen to need money. How much is this necklace worth?”Clara fell silent for a moment. Even in the past, its price had reached ten million dollars. Now, after the Blue Ocean Dragon Necklace had been lost for years and suddenly resurfaced, its value would surely multiply several times over.“Based on

Interesting…” Realizing who the old man truly was, Alex continued walking toward the best shop on the antique street. That shop belonged to Wine Clara—the finest antique appraiser in Draken City.Upon entering, Abel, who was browsing the items displayed on the shelves, immediately spoke to Alex.“Why are you tailing us?! Do you really think that rotten clay jar of yours can be exchanged for money here? Hahahaha! You must feel scammed, right?!”“Scammed? I don’t think so. I came here after seeing that this is the largest shop I’ve encountered… and I’m here to sell what’s inside this jar.
