Daytime appeared to move really slowly. Everyone in the city was talking. Blog posts, Youtube Shorts, Instagram feeds. Everyone –both those invited and those who could only watch from live streams– they all talked about the big event.

Ladies showed off their dresses online, gowns sparkling like they cost a fortune. Men bragged about their custom suits, their watches dripping with diamonds, their cars ready to turn heads.

It was a much anticipated event.

And finally the long awaited event.

As dusk finally settled, the Wang Empire headquarters came alive. The building was a colossus—100 stories of glass and steel, towering over New York like a silent monarch. Gold accents shimmered under the city lights, casting a warm glow against the beautiful evening sky.

At the entrance, marble pillars stood tall, framing a red carpet that spilled onto the pavement like a river of fire. Above, helicopters whirred, ferrying tycoons too important to bother with traffic. The air was thick with

Miles was not sure whether leaving the mansion was the right decision. First of all, he was just seconds away from dying. Literally seconds away from being thrown into the dreaded pit. But the American saved him. Galy saved his life. Galy saved the lives of everyone in that bunker, in that deserted, smelly, horrible bunker, on that island. Galy did not stop there. He went as far as giving him special treatment. Clothing him, probably injecting him with a substance that boosted his muscles, sharpened his jawline, and even sharpened his eyesight. He pulled out the card that was handed to him. He really did not know how to use the credit card. But all he knew was that 500 million yen was a huge money. He did not know how huge it was, but he knew it was huge. He could probably use it to rent an apartment and then find a job. So Miles thought. Soon, Miles found himself in the city. In Hong Kong City. His home. His true home. Things had really changed. The best recent view of the

  • Chapter 130: "Stop Bowing To Me!"

His face was… sharper. Cheekbones pronounced, skin smooth, eyes clear but intense. His body looked like it had been sculpted in his sleep. Like he had gone to the gym during his coma. He looked like the kind of person he used to fear. “What the hell is happening to me?” he whispered. But he didn’t wait for an answer. He pushed the door open. The hallway that met him was ridiculous—gold trim on the walls, enormous chandeliers, floor polished enough to see his reflection. Paintings of ancient men and modern legends hung side by side. And there it was—Tian Lou. The painting was so detailed that it looked like the musician could step out of it. His idol. The man whose songs kept him alive in that hellhole. The man he so badly wanted to be like. This wasn’t just luxury. This was god-tier. And yet, Miles turned his back to it all. He knew what he had to do. He would leave. Find work. Build himself up. He stepped into the living room—and it was somehow even more outrageous. Black m

  • Chapter 129: Rejected Haven

He turned around again, trying to take it all in. The bed behind him was massive, the sheets white like clouds. There were soft lights hidden behind the ceiling walls, glowing without any bulbs. A knock tapped softly on the door. “Come in,” Miles said, voice low, unsure. A woman—no, a maid, wearing black and white. Her skin looked like porcelain, her hair tied back like in the dramas. She bowed her head slightly. “You’re awake,” she said in English, her accent crisp but warm. “Welcome to your new home, Master Wangchun.” Miles blinked. Once. Twice. “Master what?” he said. But the woman only smiled, bowed again. Miles blinked. “Right. Uh… I didn’t mean to crash here or anything. I can—uh—I’ll get out of your way once I’m better. I just don’t know how I got here.” The lady raised a brow, amused. “Master Wang ordered otherwise. He personally requested that you be given a full recovery suite. Private wing. Any medical attention you need. You are not an intruder, Mr. Wangchun. You

  • Chapter 128: Paradise

His head throbbed with pain. He had a terrible nightmare. He always did. Miles finally opened his eyes after being unconscious for over 48 hours. The last thing he remembered was being pulled up inside a chopper. The same chopper that the American dropped down from when he saved him. When he saved all of them. He remembered seeing Master Long being dragged away like the demon he was. He remembered the American kneeling to his level to ask if he was alright. And so, he sprang up. He remembered it now. He was saved. He was a few seconds away from dying when the American saved him, saved all the boys and ladies from the claws of Master Long. The one risky call he made saved his life and the lives of all the boys. A smile spread across his face as he breathed in the air. True air, clean air, air free from the demonic stench of sweat, chemicals and oppression back in the bunker. As the tears rolled from his eyes, he closed his eyes and thanked the American. The American was a wealth

  • Chapter 127: "Buckle Up, Gary"

The drive to the Grandual Sanctuary was quiet, cool, and long. But Langston Shen spiced it up by showing Gary all of the fine, rich things of the Wang Empire. It was a mini city with real people. But it felt like it was plucked from a dystopian movie, a science-fiction city. Real people with real lives and real jobs. It just felt like these people were from another part of earth, another dimension. Similar to Neom The Line city, but it was branded to the Chinese empire, the Wang Empire, of which Gary was a member. “You. Why did you threaten me back in America, and you are suddenly being a servant?” asked Gary. “I am but a servant, and I only follow orders, Master. And that was also the reason why I killed Kage Howard back in America. If my actions had…” “You did WHAT?!” Gary blurted ou,t shockingly. He was shocked beyond imagination, shocked to his core. “What do you mean you killed Kage? And by the way, which Kage are you referring to?” “I apologize, master. But I have always a

  • Chapter: 68 Years Old

The lady neither smiled nor frowned. She could have at least given off a slight grin of respect and adoration for serving her boss, the guy whose face and body seemed to have been chiseled to perfection. Perhaps she was offended that he called her god stupid? Gary did not care. “As my master wishes,” she bowed and left. Gary rushed into the bathroom and took care of himself. He brought out his phone and looked at his darling, Evelyn, one more time. He called a number. “Be on standby. I will give you access to the Island. Approach with caution and do not raise any suspicion. Whatever happens, you must make sure that my grandmother leaves this island safe and sound. Your last resort should be Plan E.” “Yes, Gary. I am sticking to the plan.” “Great. If, for any reason, you have to use your final resort, Edmond, do not hold back. Unleash the wrath of my dead soul on this island. Make sure eveything about the Wang Empire wipes off google maps, apple map and…” “I hear you, I hear
