Chapter 1: A Hound in Their Den
"Kneel!"
The word cut through the room like a whip.
Gary Wang stood frozen, his fingers clenched into fists. His legs ached from hours of standing, but he wouldn’t kneel. Not this time.
Around him, the laughter swelled. The Lancaster family, their guests, their servants—they all watched, waiting for the show to begin.
William Lancaster sighed, swirling the whiskey in his glass. "I said, kneel, you douche-bag!"
A sharp kick suddenly slammed into the back of Gary’s knee. His leg buckled, and before he could catch himself, he was on the floor, a silent grunt escaping his dry lips.
Laughter erupted. Someone clapped. A joke was made at his expense, but Gary didn’t hear it. All he heard was his own breathing.
Heavy. Slow. He looked up. Across the room, Evelyn stood there, watching. His wife, his wife, who never defended him. His wife, who didn’t look away, was she enjoying the scene?
Gary swallowed hard. He couldn’t tell. But he would remember this night like every other night—every face, every laugh, every single moment.
But reality hit him: What would he do, huh? What could he do? He was just as useless as the P in psychology.
“What is it, huh?” asked Enrique, the first son of the Lacanster family, kneeling to level with Gary, in a rather harsh tone, “You want to fight my father and mother? Huh?”
“This is not some fantasy urban book where you suddenly get power and riches, asshole! You are a nobody and a loser and…”
“Okay, that is enough!”
Finally, someone from the crowd spoke up, silencing the entire crowd. It was Madam Ann Lancaster, the head of the Lacanster family.
The gathering was supposed to be a fun occasion, with everyone having a great time and celebrating the $17 million contract the Lacanster family had sealed. But the filth of a son-in-law, Gary Wang, decided to spoil the occasion with his stinking ooze and disobedience.
Madam Ann stood up from her seat, a light grunt escaping her brightly red-painted lips. Her dress was majestic. It wasn't just glitter; the dress shimmered. Like, really shimmered, the kind that catches the eye and holds it. The silk flowed, almost liquid, and the gold lace? One could tell it was real, hand-worked. She flaunted it everywhere, especially in her rivals’ faces
She walked up to Gary, who was still on the floor, massaging his legs in pain. She looked down at him with disgust and contempt. You could see the deep-seated hatred in the woman’s eyes, the disgust on her face.
“Get up!” she commanded in a soft but firm tone.
Gary locked gaze with her briefly. This was not a new thing. He had been treated in worse ways. He had seen those eyes before, and he knew what they meant; he knew what was coming next.
Gary managed to pick himself up. His legs were shaking. He could feel it. But he wouldn’t let it show—not in front of these vultures. He would not display weakness in front of his enemies.
Soon, Gary was standing in front of his mother-in-law, face to face, staring eyeball to eyeball.
Gary Wang was a tall man, about 6 feet and four inches. He was way taller than Madam Ann, who was barely 5’5. This was supposed to be intimidating and a natural call for respect. But it was quite the opposite. His height meant nothing to the Lacansters.
Suddenly, a loud smacking sound echoed through the entire room. This was followed by a brief silence and then, another burst of laughter and chuckles.
The slap was resounding and powerful. Printed on Gary’s face was the lady’s palm. They were all complete, all fingers accounted for.
“Gary, you ungrateful filth! How dare you disobey my orders? You proud buffoon! Do you have any idea who Mr. Kage is? He is the CEO of AgriMoult Enterprise, and he can buy your useless soul 10 million times over and not go broke! Yet you dare tell him to…”
“…to get his filthy hands off my wife, Mother! He should not go about touching people’s wives.” Gary’s voice was low, almost a whisper, but it carried through the room like a sudden gust of wind before a storm. The laughter died.
Madam Ann's eyes flared with fury. “What did you just say to me?”
Gary’s cheek burned from the slap, but he didn’t look away. His jaw tightened, his breathing slow and controlled. His entire body ached—his pride, his dignity, his patience—everything screamed at him to say something, do something.
And he did! He was not scared of saying the truth to anyone’s face, even if they perceived him as worthless and broke.
“I said, no man—rich or not—gets to paw at someone else’s wife. Especially not mine. I don’t care how wealthy that man may be!” Gary replied fearlessly.
Enrique scoffed. How dare Nathan speak back to his mother?
“Listen to this fool. You think you’re some righteous hero, huh? Protecting a woman who doesn’t even love you?”
Gary said nothing in response to him. Enrique was just a man who had no understanding of life. He ate from his mother’s crumbs and slept under her roof. Gary was not going to engage in a conversation with such a man.
Kage —the guest of honor, the million-dollar tycoon, the man who had openly placed his hands on Evelyn’s shoulder like she was a prize— chuckled. “Madam Ann, I must say, this dog of yours has some nerve.”
A few guests chuckled, sipping their wine like this was all part of the entertainment.
Madam Ann turned back to Gary, her face twisted in disgust. “You dare humiliate this family?”
‘Humiliate’? Gary almost laughed.
Hadn’t they done that to him, over and over again? Even worse? He had endured, swallowed his pride, smiled through the insults, through the pain. But tonight, something was different.
Something inside him snapped—his chest tightened, his blood burned, years of swallowing their shit boiling up at once. He could swallow all of that, but his wife? She was his responsibility.
He loved her, protected her—maybe too much—like any real husband would. But he would not stand by and watch some ‘millionaire’ touch another man’s wife improperly.
Madam Ann exhaled sharply. “Enough! I’ve had enough of you!”
She turned to Evelyn, who had remained eerily silent through all of this.
“Evelyn, tell this man to get on his knees and apologize to Mr. Kage. Right now!”
The weight of the demand crushed the air in the room. All eyes shifted to Evelyn.
Gary felt his heartbeat slow. The world around him dimmed, narrowing down to one person.
His wife. Would she defend him? Would she finally say enough?
Evelyn exhaled, closing her eyes briefly before standing. Her heels clicked softly against the marble as she took a slow step toward him.
Her lips parted. And then—
“Gary,” she said, her voice cold and emotionless. “Kneel.”

A Man Called Revenge Chapter 205: Leader Arrives
The circle of students rippled with excitement as Carson Carter stepped into the clearing. Phones shot higher into the air as everyone now wanted to get a video of the next fight. The chants fell quiet, replaced by an electric buzz of whispers. Everyone knew what Carson’s presence meant. The lieutenant fights were fun, but this? This was history in the making. No one had ever seen someone stand up to the Razors, let alone beat them bloody. And now the king himself had arrived.Carson adjusted the cuffs of his blazer like he had all the time in the world. His polished shoes crunched against the gravel as he strolled forward, his free hand resting lightly on the green-eyed girl’s waist. She moved stiffly beside him, her smile faint, eyes darting once toward Miles before she quickly looked down. It was small, almost invisible, but Miles caught it. That flicker of unease. It gnawed at him.Carson stopped a few feet from Miles, surveying the scene. His lieutenants lay groaning on the grou

A Man Called Revenge Chapter 204: Not A Human
Miles stood over him, chest heaving, the circle of students frozen in shock. He could feel it—the monster begging to finish them, to break every bone, to silence the laughter forever. But he stopped. He forced the rage down, his voice cutting through the silence.“This ends now. Touch him again,” he pointed at Tim “...and I’ll bury the whole Cult myself.”The crowd went wild, phones flashing, voices screaming. Miles had done the unthinkable—humiliated the Razor Cult in front of everyone.Kai spat blood, eyes blazing with hate. “You’re dead. Carson will skin you alive for this.”Miles didn’t answer right away. He crouched, closing the space between them, his shadow falling over Kai’s broken frame. His voice was low, calm, but it carried like thunder. “What about your promise, Kai? You said if I landed even one punch, the Razors would strip naked right here, bow, and call me Boss. I landed more than one. You’ve all touched the ground. So…” He tilted his head. “Where’s my bow?”The crowd

A Man Called Revenge Chapter 203: The Beast Unleashed
The scarred boy went first, reckless from the humiliation of his broken arm. He rushed with his good hand, aiming a wild punch at Miles’ temple. But Miles was unfazed. He swiftly ducked under it, drove his fist into the boy’s gut, and spun, slamming an elbow into his jaw. The boy dropped, wheezing, his head smacking against the pavement. The crowd erupted, gasps mixing with cheers. The braces kid shrieked, grabbing a chain from his pocket. He swung it overhead, the links whistling through the air. “I’ll carve your fucking face, freak!”Miles sidestepped as the chain came down, seized the metal mid-swing, and yanked it hard. The boy flew forward, off balance. Miles’ knee met his face with brutal precision. Blood sprayed as the kid crumpled, teeth clattering to the ground. The crowd groaned in unison, a mix of awe and horror.“Holy shit,” someone muttered. “He’s actually beating them.”“This is so fucking impossible.”“I can’t believe what my eyes are seeing. Someone –anyone– is this r

A Man Called Revenge Chapter 202: "Fight Fight Fight!"
The chant started low, just a handful of onlookers who had stumbled onto the alley. Then it spread, voices multiplying, boots stomping, phones coming up to record. Within moments, a circle had formed around Miles and the Razor boys, their jeers and laughter rising into the twilight sky.The Razor Cult thrived on attention. The more eyes on them, the more vicious they became. Now, with an audience, their cruelty only sharpened.Kai, the tattooed lieutenant, wiped blood from his mouth and snarled, trying to recover his swagger. “You’ve just signed your death warrant, orphan. Nobody embarrasses the Razors and lives to tell the story.”The scarred boy clutched his broken arm, but even he barked through the pain, “Yeah, fresh meat! You’ll crawl out of here on your knees, begging for mercy!”The crowd roared its approval, fists pounding against metal railings and dumpsters. The scene had become more than bullying—it was spectacle. A fight club without rules, fueled by bloodlust and humiliat

A Man Called Revenge Chapter 201: Razor Cult
Miles followed the sound, quickening his steps until he turned a corner behind the old maintenance building. His chest tightened at the sight: Tim was on the ground, curled up, his glasses cracked, his bag tossed aside. Four guys circled him, their laughter echoing like a pack of hyenas.Tim was getting beat!“Pathetic. Weak little pussy,” one spat, kicking Tim in the ribs. “Crying like a baby. That’s all you’re good for.”Tim wheezed, begging, his voice breaking. “P-please… stop. I didn’t do anything… I swear…”Another boy leaned over him, tall and wiry, tattoos peeking from under his sleeves. He yanked Tim up by his collar. “Didn’t do anything? That’s the point, loser. You exist. That’s your crime. This school is not for scholarship-given poor bitches like you.”The four guys wore black jackets with a jagged insignia on the back —a red slash in the shape of an ‘R’. Miles had heard whispers in class: The Razor Cult. A gang of rich kids, spoiled and untouchable because of their parent

A Man Called Revenge Chapter 200: A Smart Young Man
Soon, school for the day was over.Miles wasn’t exactly impressed by the lectures as they were all too familiar, and he ended up answering the majority of the questions. But it was worthwhile. He grabbed his crossbody bag and left the lecture hall, all eyes on him. New student, Chinese accent, an orphan. They had given him names. He pushed out of the lecture hall thinking the classroom had been the loudest thing he'd heard all day. He was wrong. The corridor smelled of warm paper, cheap coffee and the faint, greasy tang of the dining hall. Students splintered off in clumps—one group arguing about a midterm, another tossing a frisbee carelessly near the arch and some group of boys bragging about how many girls they pounded over the weekend. He wasn’t supposed to hear all of this information, but somehow, his hearing senses were sharper than ever before.A poster tacked to a corkboard caught his eye: a red slash and the word RAZOR in jagged letters. Beneath it, a phone number. A draft o
