It's time to jump

The figure cackled once more, its faceless figure almost shaking along with its laughter. Prof. Blackwood who had successfully leaned on the wall and huffed for air slowly began to let his hand wander toward his wand which was a bit far from his reach, almost beneath his bed.

The cackling continued, echoing ominously around the room. Prof. Blackwood felt a cold sweat breaking out on his forehead as he struggled to remain standing. He knew that he was facing something beyond his comprehension, something that could not be defeated by simple spells and incantations.

But then, something shifted in the figure's demeanor. The cackling stopped and the faceless head turned to regard Prof. Blackwood with a curious expression. The air in the room seemed to grow thick and oppressive as the figure spoke, its voice low and gravelly.

"What is it that you fear, mortal?" it asked, its words dripping with a mix of amusement and malice.
