ALL EYES ON THE GOLDEN BOY

CHAPTER 10: DISASTER

Sebastian raked his eyes over both of them as they stood side by side and it felt like he was in a sudden ring fight in a tough battle between him and these sudden disastrous circumstances.

He was so baffled by the whole unfolding crisis that he just hopelessly stood there, not uttering a single word.

He had been worried about how he would survive with Celeste as his boss, but now she was pregnant with his child. As if that wasn't enough_ Boom! His ex-girlfriend, a sly fox who was nothing less of a gold digger was his secretary.

How Hannah was able to get the job as his secretary was something he slightly pondered on.

"Um…" He gulped, trying to find the right words to say.

His thoughts were in total chaos, he needed clarity, he yearned for all three of them to leave his office, away from him.

"Can you all get…" He deliberately let his words trail off as he felt slightly hesitant to enact his order, especially since it was his first day at work and Celeste was in a higher position than him, he didn't want to seem rude to them or disrespectful to her,

He raised his head to gaze at them but Immediately felt a pang of frigid shiver go down his veins at the way they all had their gaze fixed on him.

"I need to get to work, can you all kindly leave," He blurted,

"Of course, Mr. Everhart. Miss Anderson's desk is right outside if you need her for anything," Oscar let out,

Sebastian nodded with a forced smile.

With a smirk on her face, Celeste gave him the once-over view before she sauntered out of the office.

Oscar followed briefly behind her, and Hannah pouted her lips at Sebastian before stepping out.

As the door closed behind them, Sebastian heaved a deep sigh of relief as he dropped down heavily on his office chair.

He wished it was that easy to get rid of all the problems in his life, but reality had a different will of its own. It would unfailingly make you own up to your mistakes.

Outside Sebastian's office, at Hannah's desk position,

"Where did you get her from? She is clearly not an employee here," Celeste voiced out,

"Oh, I did not select Miss Anderson from our sea of employees to be Mr. Everhart's secretary, Mam. She got the job on a recommendation." Oscar responded,

"Mmm," Celeste gave a slight nod, her eyes fixed on Hannah's. They both seemed to be reminiscing about the incident that had occurred in the LUXE hotel a few weeks ago.

Celeste abruptly looked away, "Are you sure she is fit enough for this job, she comes off like a total slacker,"

"Fortunately, Miss Anderson is experienced in this field. So you don't have to worry about anything. She will do her job well and take care of Mr. Everhart well,"

Celeste released a short laugh as the last part of Oscar's words sounded cheesy and awoke a hefty sum of jealousy in her,

"She only has to do her job well as his secretary. Taking care of him is out of the picture," Celeste uttered with a strong tone,

"Um…Excuse me, Miss Kensington," Hannah called out, grabbing Celeste's and Oscar's attention.

"I don't think it's for you to decide if I should take care of him or not. If he wants it_then he gets it," Hannah said, defiantly,

Celeste released yet another short laugh.

It was obvious what Hannah was here for, -Obviously to find her way back into Sebastian's life and probably torment her too.

"Alright. Let's see how long you last," Celeste scoffed, walking out on both of them,

"Oscar, to my office now!" She called as she kept to her pace,

"Get to work. Don't worry, no matter what, I will make sure you keep your job," Oscar said to Hannah before he raced after Celeste.

"She is fired!" Celeste bashed out authoritatively, walking into her office and balancing herself on her seat,

"For what reason, Mam?" Oscar questioned, his arms crossed behind his back,

Celeste gazed hard at him before she replied to his question, "I don't like her,"

"You don't like her or you feel infuriated by her?" Oscar mentioned with a stance,

"Are you permitted to question my orders? If I state that she is fired then that's it! End of discussion, Oscar!" Celeste charged, a subtle anger bubbling in her chest,

Oscar stood gallant, he didn't even flinch at her sudden outburst, instead, he footed forward to her table,

"Miss Anderson can not be fired. She is my niece and she needs this job," He disclosed with a standpoint,

Celeste's brows abruptly snapped together and the expression on her face engulfed into an 'Oh'. She raked her brain to remember Oscar's last name. And her eyes slightly widened when it all clicked together, 'Oscar Anderson,'

Now that explained how Hannah got the job and why Oscar was so opposed to her getting fired.

"What more are you hiding, Oscar?" Celeste queried, her eyes digging into his,

Oscar shifted in his position,

"My niece has brought to my notice the whole circumstances that occurred at the LUXE hotel when she went to pay a visit to her boyfriend, Mr. Sebastian Everhart,"

"Ex-boyfriend," Celeste curtly jumped in,

"She broke up with him and threw him out of her house into the streets. But when your niece found out that he had upgraded, she came running back, trying to wriggle her way back into his life. Doesn't that make her a gold-digger?" Celeste concluded with a query,

Oscar seemed lost in a daze for a few seconds.

That was not the story he had heard from his niece…

He regained his composure,

"Moreover, their relationship is none of my business, and neither should it be yours. My niece does not deserve to lose her job just because of the ill feelings you developed toward her on your first encounter. I hope you rethink your choices, Mam. Or else, I won't cease from reporting this to the HR department,"

"Leave my office!" Celeste thundered, pissed off already.

He suddenly had the same aura as Hannah; Cunning and annoying.

A subtle frown welled up on her face as she sternly watched him exit her office.

Sebastian exhaled deeply, turning away from the computer to stare outside the office through the window.

He couldn't even focus on his work. Everything that occurred in the morning had his head all messed up.

The door suddenly sprang open, making him spin his chair around to see who it was,

His nose flinched and his eyes widened when he saw her sashaying toward him,

"Hey baby, do you need anything?" Hannah winked at him,
