Seraphina clenched her fists in fury, but there was nothing she could do. Darrus quickly grabbed her hand, suppressing the storm of anger raging within him.

The two of them hurriedly left the place, frustration seething beneath their skin, as if they had just suffered a humiliating defeat.

Inside the car, silence filled the air, suffocating.

Seraphina stared straight ahead, her jaw tightly clenched.

Meanwhile, Darrus leaned back in his seat, trying to steady his erratic breathing. His anger was on the verge of exploding, but he was still attempting to stay calm.

His personal assistant, seated in the front, handed him an envelope with an official seal.

"Sir, this just arrived from the governor’s office," the assistant said cautiously.

Darrus snatched the envelope roughly and tore it open without hesitation. His eyes scanned the letter rapidly. The red flush on his face drained away, and his hands began to tremble.

Max raised one hand, his palm open toward Jale and Tina. “Enough,” he said flatly. Max’s voice remained calm, controlled, like a king delivering a verdict, not an outburst of anger. “This is a lesson for you,” he continued. His gaze was sharp, pressing down without the need to raise his voice. “Envy toward another person’s success will only destroy yourselves.” Jale and Tina lowered their heads even further. “If you want to stand at the top. If you want to succeed,” Max said slowly, each word falling clearly, “work until your teeth are clenched from exhaustion. Build connections through ability, not hatred. Achieve success through effort, not through wrongdoing.” He paused briefly, letting his words sink in. “Never again try to destroy someone’s success just because you feel left behind,” he continued coldly. “Do you understand?” Jale nodded quickly, almost striking the floor with his forehead. “I understand, Mr. Max… I understand.” Tina nodded repeatedly as well, tears falli

His lips curved up faintly—not a smile, but something colder, more like a quiet assertion.“You’ll find out soon enough,” he replied shortly. The words sounded light, almost indifferent. There was something hidden behind those words—something moving fast, unseen, and completely beyond his control. And indeed.Less than a second after Max finished speaking, the sharp vibration of a phone shattered the silence of the hall.Bzzzt. Bzzzt.Jale flinched. All eyes turned toward him. His hand reflexively reached into his suit pocket—then froze when he saw the name on the screen.Daddy.His face instantly drained of color. But please do not fire me.”She bowed again and again, her voice almost breaking. “I beg you. I made a huge mistake.”Max did not answer right away. His arm remained firmly around Aurora’s shoulders, his grip steady. Manager Helen’s face turned completely pale. Cold sweat ran down her temples, and for a moment she seemed to lose the ability to breathe normally. Her hands trembled as she lowered her head slightly toward Lisa, her voice breaking and unstable.“I… I am sorry, Ms. Lisa,” she said in a stammer. “I truly did not know that Miss Aurora was someone you knew. If I had known, I would never have…”Lisa raised one hand, stopping Helen’s words without raising her voice. Her gaze remained calm, yet that calmness only made the pressure in the air feel heavier.“You are wrong,” Lisa said flatly. “The problem is not because she knows me.”Helen swallowed hard.“Aurora is the wife of the biggest investor in Star Entertainment,” Lisa continued in the same calm tone. “The investor whose funds support more than half of the projects you have managed all this time.”The words struck like a heavy hammer.Tina froze. The faint smile that had remained on her face vanished instantly. Her eyes widened, her br

Shouts of praise rang out freely, no longer trying to keep their voices down.“She is incredible…” “The notes are so clean, the emotion feels alive…” “Talent like this is so rare.” “And… my God, she is so beautiful.”Aurora slowly stood from the piano bench and bowed gracefully. Her face remained calm, almost free of excessive expression, yet her eyes reflected an undeniable strength. In the front row, the smile on Tina’s face had frozen.
